Author's POV

After a long journey the pandavs , Draupadi ,Kunti and Vidur reached at the grand entrance of the great Hastinapur 's palace ..They all went to the entrance of the palace except Draupadi to see Maharaj Dhritrashtra, Maharani Gandhari ,Duryodhan ,Dusshasan , Shakuni ,Mahamahim Bhishm and the other Kauravs

Karn to was present there beside Duryodhan to welcome his little sister and his mother like figure Mata Kunti

The whole Hastinapur too were invited to the palce to see their beloved princes and also have a glimps of their Mahanayak's bride

As for Draupadi , she was tired of the journey and her legs were aching a little by sitting inside the palanquin in the same position for a long time ..but she was looking at everyone by moving the curtains of the palanquin

Duryodhan was very angery on the Pandavs as his rajyabhishekh to become the yuvraj of Hastinapur was stopped by Mahamahim Bhishm , so he was glaring at the Pandavs

First Kunti touched the feet of Dhritrashtra and then Gandhari who lifted her and hugged her smilingly then she touched the feet of Bhishm who blessed her

Then came the Pandavs they all touched the feet of their Tatshree , jyeshth Mata and pitahmah they too execept Yudhisthir were glaring at Duryodhan , Karn gave a smile and respectful look to Kunti who became happy

Dhritrashtra asked Yudhisthir

"Putr if you all were alive all this time then why didn't you all return back ??"

Bheem replied on Yudhisthir's behalf

"Tatshree we didn't return as we all wanted to stay as commoners so that jyeshth could observe them .. Lord Ram to styed with his subjects to become a better ruler ... so we decided that jyeshth to should do the same so that he too can become a great King "

He said the last part while glaring at Duryodhan who too glared at him , their glaring session was cut by Gandhari as she asked

"Putr Arjun where is your bride ?? We heard that you hit the fish target at the swayamvar of the Panchal Princess who, is the most beautiful in this world ..Where is she ?? The first Bride of Kuruvansh "

To which Kunti replied

"Not the first jiji , she is the second bride "

"How??"

Gandhari asked , Kunti revealed about the marriage of Bheem and Hidimba , Duryodhan tried to turn everyone against this marriage as he somehow wanted the pandavs to be banished from Hastinapur , but his plan was unsuccessful as Bhishm excepted this marriage wholeheartedly and so did everyone

"Call your bride Arjun I want to welcome to this Dynasty "

Gandhari asked excitedly , Arjun nodded and said while pointing his hand towards the entrance

"She is the Princess of Panchal ...Panchali "

Everyone's gaze moved towards where Arjun's hand was pointing ,Their jaws dropped to the foor as they saw the heavenly beauty approching , her head held high with confidence as she grace full walked above the steps , stepping on flower trays with variety of flowers as a welcome

The whole of Hastinapur was mesmerized by the charm of their Mahanayak's wife

Draupadi's POV

I walked towards the royal family of Hastinapur and I won't lie I was nervouse but I guess I was successful in hiding it , upon reaching their I saw a lady who seamed kind and had a blindfold ..she has to be Mata Gandhari and the man beside her has to be Maharaj Dhritrashtra

I noticed a man with a white beard and all dressed in silver...has to be Mahamahim Bhishm

I could see bhrata Karn looking at me with a smile I smiled back which went unnoticed by the others , I went and touched the feet of Mata Gandhari who raised me up and blessed

"Sada Suhagan Raho " (May you never be widowed)

I took her hand and kept it on my left cheek she said

"I cannot see you putri but I am sure that you must be so beautiful that you can compliment my Arjun's valour "

I smiled , arya came and stood beside me as the others to blessed us then Mahamahim came , and arya touched his feet he lifted us up and said

"Sada sukhi raho (may you always be happy) you both look like Shiva-Shakti together and putri you must call me Pitahmah I am proud of my Phalgun that he got the best bride in the whole of Aryavarth "

After blessing us he along with the others went inside the palace leaving only me, my bharatas ,arya ,mata and bharat Karn

I went and touched his feet while I am sure that my other brothers and arya are shocked but I decided that I should start my job to erase the distance between Bhrata and Arya as soon as possible

I stood up and said while looking at him with folded palms

"Now bhrata won't you bless your little sister ?"

He laughed and said

"Of course behen may you always keep smiling and be happy "

I smiled and he went inside to the evil trio I turned around and saw my bhratas and arya looking at me as if I had done somthing miraculous

We reached the old chamber of Mata Kunti and sat down

"What happened ??"

I asked them with a innocent question mark face , arya came to me and asked

"You call him bhrata ?"

"Yes "

I replied with a noraml tone pretending that I don't know anything about the rivalry between arya and him then Nakul asked with a shocked face

"Bhabishree you don't know about Angraj Karn and Bhrata Arjun ??"

I could see mata looking sad so I made a irritated look and said

"Why are you all talking like this.. and how will I know what you know ??remember I was born only 3 days ago ??"

Then Sehedev continued from where Nakul had stopped

"Bhabishree Angraj and Bhrata Arjun are Arch rivals ..that is the reason why we were looking at you shocked"

I widened my eyes and looked at Arya who nodded , I looked at him and said

"Umm ...I am sorry I didn't know about this but can you try to be friendly with him ?? I will convince him too please I don't want my arya and bhrata to be enemies "

I asked while giving him my best puppy eyes ,emotional blackmail I am a pro ... he looked at me and then smiled and said

"I will try my best " I smiled like a child that's probably why mata came and started pulling my cheeks as if I am a golo molu sa baccha (chubby kid)

"Awww my daughter is sooo cute "

I whined and said while rubbing my cheeks

"Why does everyone like to do that ?? Even in Panchal bhrata , jiji , pitashree and Govind used to do this .. not here also please "

Everyone laughed and arya pulled my cheeks making me whine

"If you will be this cute then how can someone not pull your cheeks krishnaa???"

He said pinching my nose while I pouted and saw Mata happy when I had asked arya to be friendly with bhrata

We all entered and the sabha as we were called there , it was about who should be the next king of Hastinapur

In the sabha kakashree Vidur said that most of the citizens of Hastinapur wanted their old Yuvraj means bhrata Yudhisthir to be the king and pitahmah seconded the thought by saying that as the old Yuvraj is back then there is no need for an argument

But Duryodhan didn't like this so he started to insult bhrata Yudhisthir by saying

"if he really cared about the subjects then he should have been here handling his duties not roam around in the forest "

He started to blabber while I was getting angery why was he insulting Bhrata Yudhisthir without any reason ?

But arya's dander was up , he took his dhanush and went towards Duryodhan and pointed an arrow at him while bhrata Karn came in between them with his armour

There would have been a battle right here if pitahmah hadn't intervened according to him , the Kururashtra now had to be divided to prevent any sort of fights between them

With this the sabha dissmissed , I was called by Mata Kunti and Mata Gandhari to the temple for a ritual as a new bride , once it was done I came back to Mata's chamber only yo see arta and my bhratas hands tied with ropes and soldiers around them

Tears started to come out of my eyes why are arya's hands tied ? Where are they going? I became very sad , my first day in Hastinapur and this is how it goes

All of a sudden bhrata Bheem said

"Panchali ask for this rope from mata Gandhari it is very stong "

Saying this he started to pull his tied hands apart showing how strong it is only for the rope to break he made a shocked expression and said

"Arrey!!! It broke soldier get another rope "

Then Nakul said

"Yes yes from which an elephant can be tied , get atleast 8-10 ropes for him "

Then Arya looked at me and then said

"And also get an order from the Mahamantri that he should not break the rope for eating ladoos "

Making me chuckle while they all laughed but then I asked them why they are tied ? Bhrata Yudhisthir explained that Maharaj has ordered to get them all imprisoned as a punishment for raising wepons in the Sabha

And saying this they started going Arya stopped in front of me and said in a sad voice

"Krishnaa since we will be in the dungeon Hastinapur might not be safe for you ,you should get ready to go to Kampilya "

I looked him...my eyes glistened at the thought of him leaving me alone. The mere thought of being separated from him broke my heart. I shook head in a denying manner , trying to convey the fact that I did not want to leave him

He probably found my action amusing as a sad smile cracked on his well chiseled face.., he patted my cheek and nodded in a yes you are going way and they started to fgo along with the soldiers.

I ran to the temple as I could not control my tears what is happening this was not there in the mahabharat book
I just looked up at the shivling in front of me and prayed that arya and bhratas should not go to the dungeon

After half an hour a daasi came and said that Pitahmah had stopped the Pandavs from going to the dungeon and had also scolded tatshree about the matter

It was night now and I wondered how my day went today , and also my body was aching a little cause of this heavy bridal jwellery and I was also tired by the time we reached Hastinapur

I was happy , I wiped my tears and was now on my way to Mata's chamber when she herself almost bumped into me , she smiled at me.

"Putri come with me "

She said as she took my hand and lead me somewhere I noticed a glass of milk in her hand , we reached a chamber , it was fully decorated with rose petals ,diyas and some jasmin flowers

That's when it clicked to me .. it was my First night !!!!!!!
