Dinner, or Something More?

WARNING! LONG CHAPTER AHEAD!

Jack's POV

"Chicken, check. Salad, check. Wine, check. Fancy candles, check. Desserts, check. Blue roses... Uh,"

I stopped as I noticed that I haven't put the flowers that I bought earlier on the vase. I scrambled around the dorm, trying to find the damn thing.

"Where the heck did I put those flowers?" I mumbled under my breath, looking around.

After awhile, I finally found it lying on the couch, still looking fresh, just like when I saw it at the store.

"Thought I lost you there for a sec." I smiled, taking the flowers from the couch and quickly put it in a glass vase.

I don't know why I always pick the color blue for him. I just think that it fits him really well, y'know? It is such a cool and calm color, just like him. "Maybe I'll ask him to dye his hair blue later." I grinned at my own thoughts; He'll look pretty neat.

After setting everything up, I then took off my apron and throw it onto the laundry basket. As I walk back towards the dining room, I run pas trough the mirror and noticed that I'm still in my jacket and ripped jeans.

"Shit... I need to change; fast."

I quickly ran inside my room, doing my best casual-yet-formal look; a white button up shirt and with pair of black pants and white socks (because Mark will get angry if I even dare to use any shoes inside the dorm.)

Perfect.

After that, I took my phone to text Bob;

"I'm ready."

Mark's POV

"Do I really need to repeat this part?" I said, running my fingers through my messy fluffy hair, feeling frustrated.

"Uhh... Yea--" Wade was cut by Bob that nodded to him. "I mean no! I already understand this part. Thanks Mark!"

"Anything for my friend." I smiled. What's with the nodding? It's awfully strange...

"Hey Mark it's getting late." Bob yawned, stretching his hands. "I think you should go."

I nodded as I stood up and walk towards the door. "Sure. Sleep well buddy." I said, waving my hand and said my goodbyes.

After I shut the door, the cold air quickly attacked my naked skin. I sigh as I put on my jacket, shoving my hands inside the pocket. But, my jacket has a different aroma... It's more... ladylike; a mixture of flowers, I assume?

"Now it kinda smells like Jenifer... better wash it quickly before Jack gets mad." I thought as I started to walk.

While walking back towards my dorm, my mind quickly wanders back to Jack. I smiled at my own thoughts, making my walking pace a bit faster.

"I wonder what he's doing right now...  Watching TV? Playing games? Or is he asleep?" I thought to myself, unconsciously saying it out loud and caught some pedestrian's attention.

When I arrived in front of my dorm, I noticed a piece of paper was sticked onto the door that reads:

"Knock before coming in."

I grinned as I knock on the door lightly. "I wonder what he's up to this time..."

The door slowly opens, revealing a figure that I adore so much. There he was, wearing a white button-up shirt and a pair of a silk-like black pants that's a bit tight but fits him in the best of ways.

"Welcome home Markimoo~" He purred, sending shivers down my spine.

"You didn't tell me about... whatever this is." I chuckled, trying to keep my cool. "I could've changed into something nicer and cleaner."

He smiled as he pulled my flannel close to him, kissing me softly on the lips.

"You look fine just the way you are... Now let's go in shall we? I have prepared something special for you."

He then took my cold hand onto his soft ones, holding it as he guided me towards the dining table.

"Jack, what is th—" I couldn't finish my sentence as my throat goes dry and my cheeks flustered lightly.

Our boring dining table was turned into something so beautiful; a white cloth covers the wooden dining table. On top of it is a candle with others putted elsewhere; lighting up the dim room and a bouquet of blue rose was putted on a stunning glass vase. In two end of the table lies a plate with a dish that smells amazing as a song played in the background; It was elegant yet semi-casual.

"Wow Jack... I, I don't know what to say..." I stuttered, still feeling amazed.

"You don't have to say anything." He said, flashing his signature smile worth a million dollar that makes me weak on my knees. "I hope you like it."

I couldn't help but smile, pecking him lightly on the cheek. "Like it? I love it. But nothing can beat my love for you."

"Aren't ya a catch?" He chuckled, pulling a chair for me. I then took a seat, not forgetting to say thank you.  He nodded in respond, taking the seat at the other end.

3rd person's POV

Both of the men enjoyed the lovely dinner that Jack has prepared for them as they chatted along, holding each other hands.

"I never thought that you're the romantic type." Mark chuckled, taking a sip of his wine.

"Why would I show it to the public?" Jack said, shrugging. "I only do this towards the people I actually care about. And it's very rare so you should be grateful."

"Aww, so I'm the lucky one, huh?"

"You can say that again." He grinned, kissing Mark's hand tenderly, causing the older men to blush.

"Uh..." Mark coughed, feeling like his heart is beating so fast that it physically hurts. "W-Why did you always pick a blue flower?"

"I don't know..." Jack lift his head as he paused, trying to come up with a reason. "You know how the color blue is calming and charming? Well, it's just like you. For some odd reason, this specific color always reminds me of you."

"I could say the same to you." Mark smile, looking into Jack's blue eyes. "Your eyes... you know how mesmerizing they are, right? It's so addicting and sometimes, I get lost in them and I don't want to look away, not even a second."

"Geez, stop being so cheesy—" "I'm telling the truth."

Jacks eyes widened, looking away. "Uh... So, do you want some dessert, I made you some chocol—"

"I got all the sweets that I need right here." Mark purred as he stood up and walks towards Jack. Before Jack could react, Mark lifts Jack from his chair, carrying him bridal style towards the sofa. He then slowly put him down, not wanting to hurt him.

Jack face became pure red, not knowing what to say or do; his body suddenly became stiff and nothing was responding. Mark flashed a smug grin, taking the chance that was right in front of him. He leans onto Jack, connecting their lips tenderly. Jack's breathing became hitch, but slowly goes back to normal. Deep down, he feels embarrassed; it was supposed to be him that is doing this to Mark, but he can't deny the pleasure that he was getting.

Jack then remembered what is this night was all about as he pushes Mark away.

"M-Mark... can we talk first?" Jack asked, trying to get some air.

"About what?" Mark asks seductively, leaning onto Jack's pale neck and started to kiss every inch of it.

"M-Mark!" Jack squirms, trying to hide his moans. Mark was teasing him like he knows every inch of him.

"It's about us!"

Mark quickly stops, pulling away as he took a sit. "S-Sorry... I got a little carried away there." He muttered, rubbing his neck awkwardly.

"It's okay... I just need to talk to you about this seriously." Jack said as sternly as possible.

"Can we talk seriously while being comfortable?" Mark smiles weakly, asking Jack to cuddle (which Jack accepts).

Jack leans onto Mark's shoulder, as Mark wrapped his arm around him, rubbing it softly. "So, what is it that you want to talk about?"

Jack took a long sigh, gathering up his courage.

You can do this. You can do this. You can do this.

Thoughts after thoughts kept racing into his mind; what if he says no? What if he is actually in love with Jenifer? What if he's actually straight? What if he—

"Jack? Are you okay?" Mark asked. His brown eyes are full of wonder, wanting to know what is going on inside Jack's beautiful mind.

Fuck this.

"Mark, we've been doing this... friends-with-benefits thing for so long... and I thought that, y'know, we can be something more than playing around like this..."

"Jack..."

"So, I want to ask you just one thing. Will you b—"

And out of nowhere, a knock can be heard from the door.

"For fuck sake!" Jack shouted on top of his lungs. "Can't two men have a nice fucking chat once in a while?!"

"Jack... Calm down." Mark said, rubbing Jack's back soothingly.

"Sorry... I-I'll see who it is. You stay here, okay?"

Mark answered him with a nod as Jack walk towards the door. He swung the door open with anger, as he saw the figure he despise so much.

"What the fuck are you doing here? It's the middle of the fucking night!"

"Oh y'know, just casually passing by. I thought I could say hello." Jenifer grinned deviously.

"Look, I'm in the middle of something here and I'm getting ticked because of you. So if you don't leave now I SWEAR to god—"

"No need to swear sweetheart, it will only take a couple of seconds."

In a flash, Jenifer swung her hand across her own face. The sound of the slapping skin was so loud that even Mark could hear it. Jack eyes widened as his mind trying to figure out what was going on.

"OH MY GOD JACK! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" Jenifer screamed, getting on her knees as she covers her cheek with her hand, trembling in fear.

Jack was too shocked to actually move when suddenly, Mark came to the door, rushing towards Jen, hugging her tightly.

"Jen, are you okay?!" He asked, concern can be heard in his voice.

"Mark, what are you doing?! She's th—"

"What am I doing?? I should ask you that!" Mark screamed, raising his voice, making Jack jump a little. He never saw him this angry since their first fight. The anger could be clearly seen in Mark's brown eyes, staring furiously towards Jack.

"Look, this jealousy thing has been going on for far too long! I get it that you're jealous and everything; Jen told me everything about it! But hitting her? That's out of control! You know better!"

"M-Mark! I didn't slap her! I never touch her, not one bit! You have to believe me!"

"With a proof that is clearly in front of us right now? I doubt that." Mark hissed, as he tried to help Jenifer to stand up.

"Can you stand up...?" Mark ask full of worries, which Jenifer replied with a nod. "Y-Yeah, my cheeks is burning though..."

"C'mon, I'll help you go back to your dorm."

As they walk away, Mark turn around towards Jack for one last time, giving him the nastiest look that anyone could give.

"Don't you ever dare to talk or even look at me ever. again."
