donghyuck felt like he was victim of a malediction.

for the following week, it seemed like he couldn't stop meeting mark here and there, the bad boy sending him a wink each time they would meet.

at that point, donghyuck couldn't control his heart beating erratically in his chest anymore.

he had abandoned the idea to control his blushing because that was absolutely impossible.

"donghyuck, i'm sorry." the teacher interrupted his day dream. "could you bring these files to mrs oh, please?"

donghyuck nodded, standing up and leaving the classroom with the bundle of paper his teacher had given him.

he was adored of every teacher, so he was always the one chosen to give papers or pick up the homework.

and it was cool in his mind.

donghyuck walked towards mrs oh's classroom, stopping in his tracks when he was who was leaning on the wall, just next to the classroom's door.

"oh, donghyuck." mark smirked, passing a hand htrough his hair in a very hot manner.

"hello, mark." donghyuck replied shyly.

"what are you doing here?" mark asked.

"i need to give these to mrs oh."

mark nodded, gesturing to donghyuck to knock and enter the classroom.

donghyuck walked by mark, knocking on the door and opening it right after.

"hello, mr kim told me to give this to you." donghyuck said with a smile.

"oh, thank you very much donghyuck!" she smiled, picking the papers from his hands.

"you're welcome. goodbye."

with that said, donghyuck got out of the classroom, ready to go back to his class.

"where are you going?" donghyuck was interrupted by mark's voice.

"back to class." donghyuck replied, looking at mark with a small smile.

"can't you stay a bit with me? i'm bored alone here." mark crossed his arms over his chest.

donghyuck thought for a few seconds.

he should go to class.

he couldn't just err in the corridors when he was supposed to be in class.

and it was the same for mark.

"why aren't you in class?" donghyuck asked.

"mrs oh kicked me out of class." mark shrugged.

"oh..." donghyuck let out, not really knowing what to say.

"have you never been kicked out of class?" mark asked after a while.

"huh... no." donghyuck replied, making mark chuckle.

"you should try it sometimes, it's fun."

donghyuck shrugged.

he didn't really know what to tell mark.

they were obviously from two different worlds.

but that's what made him even more interesting.

"you know, staying in class is fun as well." donghyuck said.

mark laughed, his eyes closing and his hair falling in front of them.

he leaned against the all again, combing his hair back with his fingers.

"you're cute." he said, making donghyuck flush red.

"t-thanks..." donghyuck said, looking at his hands.

mark chuckled, seeing donghyuck's panicked state.

"come on, go back to class. i don't want you to miss the fun." mark said, placing his hand on donghyuck's shoulder.

donghyuck's insides fluttered at the sudden contact, warmth spreading from his shoulder throughout his body.

he looked at mark in the eyes, nodding quickly before walking away.

"see you around, cutie." mark said out loud as donghyuck's silhouette disappeared at the end of the corridor.

mark sighed, thinking about their conversation once again before getting snapped off his thoughts by a hand that slammed on the wall, just next to his head.

"so... you were having a chat with donghyuck?"

"johnny, you scared the shit out of me." mark pushed the tall american away.

"do you even know who he is?" johnny asked.

"who? donghyuck?" mark raised a brow. "he's some cutie, that's for sure."

"yeah, well, he's also the top student of this school." johnny flicked mark's forehead. "which means that you don't belong with each other."

mark rolled his eyes at johnny's antincs.

"what is the problem?" he asked. "a nerd and a bad boy?"

"exactly." johnny nodded.

"it's the 21st century. we can work this out." mark replied.

"if you say so." johnny shrugged. "but do you even want something to happen?"

"i think so." mark nodded.

johnny sighed.

"so, you reject all the hot girls we find you, and you find yourself a nerdy stuck-up boy." he told desperately.

"he has so much potential, johnny. he could be hotter than they ever were."
