Breakdown quietly looked up as he heard Optimus walked into the room. Maybe it's just because he wasn't in battle with the prime, but it felt welcoming and kind to see the familiar red and blue Autobot leader.

"Greetings, Breakdown. I am glad to see that you are awake and well." Optimus spoke with a certain calmness that Breakdown hasn't seen from any of the other Decepticon's. It was a different but very nice.

"I'm thankful that you and your team have taken me in. Not many Decepticons would have done that for me." Breakdown knew that the only bot who would take care of him was Knockout everyone else world have left him for dead

"I would like to know who left you like that and why you were out there if you would be so kind to share." Optimus spoke in a monotone voice, and yet it was kind.

"Myself and Dreadwing went to capture Airachind. She's been causing problems for the Decepticons and generally just an unnecessary risk." Breakdown sighed before he continued speaking. "Clearly, the risks were warranted."

Optimus nodded as he heard what Breakdown had to say. "I am just glad we did not lose your spark today. Myself and my fellow Autobots have discussed and have decided to offer you to stay here with us. If you don't want to stay, we will be willing to let you pick a random place on Earth from our ground bridge." Optimus took a moment as he looked at Breakdown. "I would appreciate it if you stayed here."

Breakdown was taken by surprise. He wasn't expecting this offer. He heard of the Primes kindness, but to have it towards him wasn't something he'd expect. "I don't know if I can accept that, am. Am I allowed to ask to stay and think about it?"

Optimus was quiet for a moment from what Breakdown could tell the prime was considering his request, for a moment he was nervous that Optimus Prime would just straight up ignore the request. "Yes, you can stay here for a week but until you properly decide if you are going to stay or not you will not be allowed to touch any of our maps or anything that could allow you to talk with any Decepticons." Breakdown understood why Optimus didn't want him anywhere near the communications.

Breakdown thought it over before he spoke. "I get that, I won't mess with anything, and I will let you know as soon as possible about my decision if I stay or not." Even though Breakdown understood and respected the reason why he couldn't look or use anything that connects to the outside world he wished that he could so he could let his Knockout that he was okay, he'd break so many rules just to let Knockout know he's alive, there's no way his conjunx is alright right now, but for now Breakdown is going to follow the rules. 

"Thank you, Breakdown, now I must tell you that the human children are soon coming over later today, I want you to try your best to get along with them as if you do decide to stay, they are important members of the group and will be your allies in the future." The way Optimus sounded he knew there was no arguing with the Prime, he was pretty firm on what he expected Breakdown's behavior to be with the human children.  

"Yeah, I'll be nice." Breakdown nodded some at Optimus's request. The Prime's expression seemed to change slightly, but Breakdown couldn't quite read it. He watched Optimus turn and leave possibly to handle something else in the Autobot base.

A soft cough came from Ratchet to get Breakdown's attention. "I think he's hoping you do join us." Ratchet commented, Breakdown knew he shouldn't be surprised but he was, maybe it was just Ratchets comment or the fact someone so impressive like Optimus wanted HIM to join the autobots, he had to know that Breakdown wasn't a great guy but yet he wants him to join.

"You think so?" Breakdown felt nervous to ask this. It just didn't make sense to him that Optimus would actually want him of all bots.
