Miyazono Kaori POV:
The next day, when I returned back in the hospital to visit Kousei, I saw Seto Hiroko talking to two Secret Service Agents. I also noticed there's a doctor around talking to them. "The pain he had when he was attacked put him back to a long sleep. I hope you allow the hospital to keep the patient here. He won't be able to carry the burden of travel even if he is in an ambulance."
"We have no choice but to put a lot of police and soldiers here instead," Agent Yukauchi spoke up. "He's back on a comatose state."
I entered Kousei's room and found out that he's having labored breathing. His cheeks and eyes are definitely so tired and so pale. Once again, he is in a life support tube. I went closer to him as my eyes water. "Kousei, I'm still here. Don't leave me. I survived because of you. You gave me hope. Now, please do the same to me."
"Seto-san, is he the last surviving Arima?" I asked. "Does he have any relatives at all?"
"He has his grandparents but they chose me to take care of him," she said to me.
"His perpetrator hurt him too much. I could feel his anger radiating through how Kousei looks like," I told him. "Why does it seem like that, Seto-san?"
"Since you are his lover, you have the right to know the confidential secrets of the Secret Service. His perpetrator is Okata Jun. He hates the Arima Family due to their bloodline. The Arima Family are still legal descendants of the royal family while Okata Jun is an illegitimate child," she paused after that to sit beside Kousei. I also sat at the chair near his bed.
After that, Seto Hiroko-san continued her reply to me, "Kousei's great-grandmother left the royal family many years ago. A female monarch who marries a commoner become commoners. His great-grandmother is a victim of the Reformation of the Japanese Royal Family when Japan was defeated in World War 2. His great-grandmother was expelled to commoner status after marrying his great-grandfather, Arima Kenichiro. Arima Kenichiro is the founder of the Hana Group of Companies."
"Does Kousei know it?" I asked. I was surprised to know that he came from a noble family.
"His father, Arima Takahiko wasn't able to introduce him to his larger family. Takahiko's father, Arima Shinichiro is the chairman of a huge corporate group, Hana Group of Companies. It's named after Princess Hana, Kousei's great-grandmother," she paused to hold Kousei's right hand. "Takahiko never liked his father after his mother died. When he married, he left their mansion and lived as a spy but he can never leave the corporation totally. He returned and to his surprise, his father accepted him and chose him to be the heir. Years later, he was killed by Okata Jun before he takes him to the custody of his father."
I pitied Kousei more. I can't believe that his father hid too many things to him. "Does his grandfather know Kousei's situation? Why haven't I seen him visit?"
"He was devastated when he learned about his son's death. It was also him who had asked me to take his grandson away from the mental institution to prevent him from totally becoming insane. He chose me to take care of him. For now, he's working and he doesn't get a chance to see him. He's too busy," she answered me.
After we talked together, I left him in his room praying that at the time he wakes up, he would be able to finally recover from all of the wounds that his perpetrator inflicted on him.
...
Days passed...
I was able to meet Arima Shinichiro. He talked to Prime Minister Nakamichi and the intelligence agents about Kousei's health and if they were able to arrest Okata Jun when they met outside Kousei's hospital room.
The corridor outside Kousei's room was filled with a lot of soldiers with guns with them which makes most of the doctors and other patients afraid. He discovered who I am to Kousei after we had a small talk when he saw me inside his room. "Who are you to Kousei?"
"I'm a friend, sir. My name is Miyazono Kaori," I answered him. "I heard from the outside who you are, sir."
He took a deep breath. "I hope he wakes up soon. I would want him to be officially announced as my heir when he's fully recovered. I lost my heir and he's the only one left behind to be the next chairman of my group. If you truly love him, don't leave him."
"I won't sir. I promise," I replied to him.
Silence stayed for a few minutes until it was broken when there were agents who entered his room. The two of us faced them to listen to more of their reports. Agent Mika and Dr. Toyama delivered bad news to us.
Agent Mika informed us that Okata Jun suddenly vanished out of nowhere and they couldn't even access the royal family due to it that the Imperial Household Agency doesn't want anyone to let any intelligence agents enter the Imperial Palace without permission from the Court. She believes that there is a traitor among the Royal Family.
"Agent Mika, the Japanese Intelligence Unit should do their all to give justice to my grandson and son. They don't deserve the pain they inflicted on them," cried Kousei's grandfather.
Agent Mika looked down and promised him, "We'll do our best, sir."

Arima Kousei POV:
Go back. You can't stay here, son. Wake up. It's not yet your time to join us. You've been asleep for so long.
My eyes open up in a jolt. As my whole consciousness return, I tried to sit but I can't. My body is too heavy for me to handle.
A surge of sharp electricity ran through my nerves which hurt me so much. I tried to move it but I can't.
I tried to talk but some kind of plastic down my throat was blocking me to speak. My right hand was also strapped with a lot of needles and also, there's a white clip attached on my pointer finger.
I heard my door open and due to my blurry eyesight, I couldn't see who it is. I only know that the woman who entered my room stood in surprise after seeing me awake. She went out and I could see her meet a doctor outside the glass windows. As all of my senses return, I remembered my father's voice telling me to wake up. Sudden flashes of my past return back to me at a pace I couldn't keep up.
Blood,
Coffin,
White clothes,
Long needles,
Narrow rooms...
Lastly, a sword attached in my body.
My chest began to hurt so painfully again which made me cry out and moan terribly.
I was lucky that it was just time when doctors knew that I couldn't breathe. As I was groaning and moaning on my bed, I heard a doctor telling me that I have to fight for my life and I must not let myself lose to it. They gave medicines to me through a small tube attached to me. The pain calmed down a few minutes later, thankfully. In a matter of a few seconds, I was engulfed in darkness once again.
...
Return, Arima Kousei! You are still needed on Earth!
Once again, my eyes open up. This time around, I just have a nasal cannula on my nose. I was able to move my arms a bit. I looked around the room where I saw a heart monitor ana dextrose placed near me. It's when I realized that I am in the hospital.
"He's awake now, Kaori," I heard Seto Hiroko-san tell her.
She helped me sit on my bed and when she sat near my bed, she smiled at me. "I'm glad to see you awake now."
I tried to talk but I just coughed so painfully. She put glasses over my eyes as she tells me, "Don't force yourself to speak. You've been asleep for months, Kousei."
I held her hands and tears just fall on my eyes. "Kaori, why do you look different?" I asked her. I was shocked to hear my voice sound raspy and deep. What happened to me?
"Kousei, please don't talk. You're confused right now," she spoke back to me gently.
"Why do you look older now?" I don't know what to feel anymore. I feel like I was transported somewhere I don't recognize at all.
She smiled at me. "Kousei, I know you're confused right now. I know I did lie at you. Forgive me."
I remembered the letter she gave me that I looked away. Was she talking about that? "Why lie at me?"
She took a deep breath. "It was wrong of me to have said it to you. I don't know how I will answer your question right now. Please rest. You were months asleep."
"Months asleep? I feel like I have slept more than that," I spoke up. "I feel like I took a time travel car to go here. I want to go back to the time you don't look older."
She looked at me strangely. "What happened to you while you're asleep? You're too different from who you were before you went into a coma."
I closed my hands after she spoke those words to me. I don't know what's happening to me but I am recalling a lot more of my painful memories. I do remember too that my father died and is killed at home. If Kaori didn't show up in front of me right now, I could have been deeply depressed. I don't understand though why I have memories of a narrow room and long needles which hurt me when I see them in my dreams. "I am feeling much better because you're here with me, Kaori," I replied back to her with a smile. I still feel weak and so, she had asked me to rest again. She also asked me to stop talking. I could talk but it's still painful in my part.
I obeyed her and so, I laid down my bed. She stood up and when she was about to leave my room, I don't know why I felt afraid to be all alone and so, I held her. "Please, don't go."
She took my hand away. "I will come back with a doctor, okay?"
I nodded. As she leaves, I covered myself with a blanket. A few minutes later, she returned with a doctor who looks familiar to me but I don't know why it is. They went closer to me.
"It's a good thing you are awake now. Can I ask you a few things?" she asked me after she checked my eyes and other things.
She gave me a small, whiteboard and a marker after I nodded. "What's this for?" I asked.
She smiled at me. "Don't force yourself to speak. You just woke up."
"But I can talk," I replied to her.
"Then I will be direct. You could just answer a yes or no," she said to me. "Do you remember the last events of the time you were awake?"
I tried to remember the last time I was awake but I can't remember all of it. I also wonder if I was truly only asleep for months. "No," I answered her. "I can only remember flashes of what happened to me."
She took a deep breath and asked me, "Do you know the reason why you're in the hospital?"
Tears formed on my eyes as I answer, "No."
Kaori asked my doctor, "He doesn't seem to be mentally disturbed now. Can it be that he can't remember everything that happened to him when he was severely depressed?"
Her words surprised me. "I-Was- Depressed?"
Both of them looked shocked that I said those words. "I'll talk about this to his psychiatrist and psychologist," she told her. "They can check him later."
"Do you remember Dr. Mika and Dr. Toyama, Arima Kousei?" Kaori asked me.
The names sound familiar but I can't remember who they are. "No," I answered. I tried to remember but in the end, I just had a thrashing headache which made me cover myself and hug myself. "As I said, I don't know how long I was truly asleep. You said months. To me, it's longer than that. The only time that I can visualize completely is the time I saw my father dead in front of me. After that, I just have flashes of memories I don't even know if it's even mine."
Kaori hugged me. "You'll get through this, Kousei. You'll get better, okay?"
I asked her, "Kaori, what happened to me? Was I truly just asleep for months?"
It wasn't her who answered my question. I didn't even feel Seto Hiroko-san enter my room. "You were depressed for five years. You're about to be twenty-one now. You're not a kid anymore," she told me.
My eyes widened when she said that.
I wasn't able to stop myself to scream as more flashes of painful memories enter my mind. The memories hurt a lot. I kept screaming and crying. I could feel myself returning back to the deep sea. I'm drowning again.
Once again, Kaori saved me from drowning in my own pain. Her hands reached me out and took me out of my self-inflicted punishment.
"Kousei! Please don't go back there. Stay with me," she begged me.
With my shaking hands, I hugged her tightly, "Thank you for rescuing me again."
After Kaori hugged me, Seto Hiroko dried my tears. She smiled at me."Finally, you are truly awake."
