He grabbed my arms and started to tow be out of the truck. We were making our way to what I guess is the pack house when I decided to kick him in his crown jewels. And I ran! But I'm not a wolf and was soon caught and lifted over Kevin's shoulder. We were heading into the pack house, which wasn't a house but a castle. What are these people royalty? We were heading down a huge corridor and he stopped once outside two very large wooden doors. He knocked and was told to enter. He set me on the ground and that's when I sure the most shocking and surprising sight I have ever seen.

"Mum, Dad."

Bailey’s P.O.V

I can’t believe it, before my very eyes are my mother and father. For years I was lead to believe that they were dead! They’ve been lying to me that whole time. How could they do this to me? I thought they loved me, but instead they abandoned me! I couldn’t help the tears escaping, I was so hurt, so betrayed.

“Baby, please don’t cry, we’re here now.”

My so called mother rose from her throne and came towards me. My father just looked at me with a neutral look in his eyes. She tried to calm me down by stoking my hair.

“Get off of me.”

She looked hurt, and so she should. She should feel at least a part of the hurt I felt. These are strangers to me.

“Please let us explain. Please.”

I just nodded and was released by their mutts.

“Well, I don’t know where to start.”

“How about when you abandoned your only child? When you made her believe that her only parents were dead cold corpses rotting away beneath the earth? That she would never see them, feel them, hug them or hear their voices again?”

“BAILEY! Don’t you dare talk to your mother that way! We know you are upset but we did what was right! Now let her explain!”

“Don’t you dare scold me! You lost that right. Now, go on then. Explain!”

“Okay. Well I can assume that you now know of werewolves? Well that’s what we are; actually we are very high up in the ranking of the werewolves. We are one of the strongest and biggest packs in the world. The joy we felt when I fell pregnant with you. We brought you up so happy, but when it came near to your first change we started to worry. You showed no signs what so ever but we still kept our fingers crossed. When you didn’t change we were devastated. You see we thought you must not have got the gene. Now it is known, that if you have a child without the gene you must give them up. It’s been a law for centuries; it just has to be done. You cannot bring up a human child into the werewolf world. So the only thing we could do it make you believe that we had died and hand you to your Grandmother. But then just recently we had some magnificent news. You are an Alpha’s mate. You see very special werewolves that are lucky enough to be chosen as an Alpha’s mate do not change until they have mated for the first time. This means on the next full moon you will change and you can come home!

“I understand. What I don’t understand is why you would have to trap me? Why would you have to kidnap me and send my mate and his pack to their doom?”

“Well, now that you are back you have to become Luna to our pack. Our Alpha has requested you for his mate especially. And we knew that you would not have come without a fight, and that we needed your mate gone so that you could mate with our Alpha.”

“Are you crazy? I already have a mate! Plus we have already mated so you’re too late!”

“Ah you see you have only begun the mating process! You can still be claimed.”

“I would never! In a million years mate with your Alpha!”  

“Oh come on! I’m not that bad.”

I turned around to see him standing there in all his stupid glory. It was obvious he was Alpha with the power coming off him. Everyone instantly bowed, including me as Kevin shoved my head done.

“Kevin, she is your future Luna. There is no need for her to bow down, unless it’s in the bedroom of course”

He gave me a little wink and I nearly threw up. He was quite good looking, but he was nowhere near how hot Derek was.

“You can all leave; I wish to have a word with my mate.”

In an instant everyone left, including my parents. He circled round me, probably checking out.

“Am I good enough then, Mr Alpha?”

“Oh, you’ve always been good enough bails.”

I know that I’ve heard that nickname before but where? I just can’t seem to place it. He looks deep into my eyes, probably trying to figure out what I was thinking.

“Don’t you remember me?

“Jake?”

“Hey bails, how have you been? I missed you!”

He came up to me and gave me a big bear hug. I can’t believe it; my one dear childhood friend is back. We used to do everything together. We were inseparable, two peas in a pod. That was until my mother died and I had to move away. I moved away from the hug and stroked down the side of his face.

“It’s really you?”

“Yup, 100%”

“Wow, you’ve grown up.”

“I can say the same for you.”

“Do you remember the time when we stole my dad’s car keys?”

“And we hid them in your dolls house!”

“Man, he was so mad!”

“I really did miss you. I’ve loved you ever since we were kids and I’ve never stopped.”

“Jake. I love Derek. We were just kids back then; none of it should have meant anything!”

“Well it did to me! But it doesn’t matter now; soon we will be mates and can spend the rest of our lives together.”

“No way. You have to take me home! As my friend, let me be happy with Derek.”

“I just can’t do that bails, and anyway soon Derek will be no more.”

What the hell does he mean? OMG! The hunters! I pushed Jake away and began hitting him. He took each hit, like he couldn’t even feel it. I got so angry I hit harder and harder. He grabbed my arms, lifted them above my head and pressed me into one of the walls.

“You’re showing signs of change already, that last hit actually hurt.”

“Please, leave Derek and his pack alone.”

“Oh but I can’t do that bails, he will just come and get you.”

“If you let him go, I won’t fight. I’ll be with you, just let him live. Please!”

“What if he comes for you?”

“I won’t go with him. Please.”

I started to cry, just to imagine Derek gone kills me inside. I don’t care what I have to do, I just need him to be alive.

“Bails, please don’t cry, you know I hate it when you cry.”

He wiped my tears away and lightly kissed my cheek.

“I’ll let him live, for you.”

With that final word he pressed him lips to mine and kissed me. It wasn’t the same. It didn’t feel like Derek’s kisses did. He leant his forehead against mine and smiled.

“I’ve got a surprize for you! You can come in now!

I looked towards the door and in came the last person I’d think to ever see.
