Ran kept looking around the street, She's been standing at the bus stop for over an hour already and two buses have already stopped there and left without her hopping in. She was told by Shinichi that he wanted to date her on Tropical Island again. Actually, she found it odd why Shinichi was looking at the three students studying in Junior High like he knows them even those three obviously do not know him yesterday at school before they go home.

Shinichi looked at her from the distance and flinched. He knows he's late on their appointed time. Ran kept looking at her watch and when the third bus came and thought Shinichi's not yet around, she gave up. She was about to leave already when suddenly, a familiar touch came about of Ran's left hand. She looked at him and shouted, "Don't scare me like that, Shinichi! You're giving me a heart attack!"

He smirked. "Thanks for waiting. Let's hop on now, Ran."

They were about to get inside the bus when he suddenly felt the same sensation he felt when the Black Organization attacked him. Then, in an instant, he was surprised to see Gin and Vodka outside the bus intermingling with the civilians. His heart raced hard and embraced Ran. He doesn't know what to do right now.

Hey... hey... I shouldn't have met them here in this world line. Why are they appearing suddenly? I need to ask the two scientists again and ask them, but for now, I need to focus on Ran.

"What's the problem? Your face looked troubled."

Shinichi looked at her and smiled. "Huh?"

"You're frowning and your eyes is looking somewhere far away," Ran told him. That's when Shinichi decided to follow them to know why the Black Org suddenly appeared in front of him again.

"Ran, I'll get off the bus for a while. Head off to our destination. I'll meet you there," Shinichi told her. He went off the bus and when he already noticed that Gin and Vodka were on the move again, he followed them. They seemed to be carrying a large brief case like the one he remembered at the last world lines.

He did all his best not to be seen even though the three of them go on dark, wet alleys. At the next right corner, there was a small hole where the two men entered. He decided to enter it, too after ten minutes. When he entered, he knew it'll be dark but thanks to that, it seemed the two men were carrying flashlights. He only followed it to keep monitoring their every action. No matter what, if he has a chance to stop the Black Organization quickly, he'll do it. His curiosity couldn't stop him from following them.

As he was tracking them, he saw homeless men and families sleeping there. It seemed that their destination is a slum underground where they'll do an illegal exchange of money and illegal business. He was so surprised that he was engulfed with fear, NO!!!! THIS COULDN'T BE!!!! This seemed to be the same as what I've done at the last world lines! How stupid of me to jump into war without carrying a weapon! But... I couldn't just stop here.

He kept following them.

He was walking carefully and smoothly as he pass around people sleeping and sometimes, just simply sitting when he suddenly stepped on someone's foot.

The woman suddenly woke up and looked at him angrily. She produced a knife from under her bed sheet and pointed it at him. "Who the hell are you? Why are you here? Are you also from those men in black doing business here? If so, I won't hurt you but if you're not, I'll kill you!!!" He tried to lie but Gin and Vodka heard her. They quickly went where they heard the voice. In only a matter of minutes, they were in Shinichi's destination already where he was currently being threatened by a slim, and black haired woman who's also wearing black.

"Is he an ally?" she asked as she was being held on his neck with cold and sharp knife about to suck his life out.

"Let go of him. He seemed to be a good specimen to be experimented. The Miyanos have an incomplete poison here in my possession. Boss wanted us to look for a specimen to check if we can use this. He can be of use," Gin told her.

His eyes suddenly flashed with fear. He might become small again.

What he doesn't know is that Ran had followed him. Ran suddenly had a weird feeling when Shinichi left him. She remembered a strange memory that seemed to be a dream to her when he had followed two strange men and in her heart, it was the last she saw of him enjoying in Tropical Island. At that, she only see him rarely. She decided to search his tracks until she saw the two men tackling him on the wall and is about to give him a poison. Her presence interrupted them.

All four of them were staring at her as she was crying. "Please, let go of Shinichi. Take me if you wanted!!! Please forgive us for interrupting you! Just... Just... please don't kill him!" Ran screamed.

"Huh? Who are you? Are you this boy's lover?" Gin asked.

Shinichi took that interruption quickly and escaped from their hold but as he was escaping, Vodka released bullets to kill him but... it wasn't him who was shot.

It was just in a blink of an eye...

Everything happened so fast....

Ran is pinned to the ground wreathing in pain and agony due to blood loss. She was drowning in her own blood. The strange woman was about to attack him while he was screaming and crying but Vodka and Gin stopped him.

"Let that man go. He's definitely in pieces right now. Most of all, don't you hear that alarm? The police are coming," Gin said.

"Demo... we need to exterminate people who know us. Most of all, he saw this underground. If he tells the police----!"

"Urusai!!! I'm pretty sure he won't say anything."

The four of them left Shinichi who now decided to carry Ran out of that underground tunnel to look for a doctor and when he's finally out. the police pointed their guns at him but luckily, Inspector Megure is with them and he wasn't suspected of attacking Ran who's on his shoulders. He looked around and noticed that the surroundings are already dark and only the flashes of the cars and flashlights were giving light around.

He felt very cold and afraid that he couldn't even recognize them until two words came out from his mouth before he fainted, "Help us."

Shinichi woke up the next day inside the hospital. He tried sitting up but felt dizzy. He also felt a stinging sensation on his arm realizing that there's a dextrose on.

Little by little, his heart went on races and violent waves as he remember what happened to him and Ran inside the underground tunnel the other day.

His parents, Yusaku and Yukiko Kudo suddenly went inside when they heard him screaming.

"RAN!!!! RAN!!!! WHERE'S RAN??? RAN!!!" he asked them. Both pf them hesitated to speak. "IS SHE SAFE? TELL ME!!! TELL ME!!!" Without words but just by gestures like lowering their eyes with pity, he already knew the answer. Ran is dead.

Kogoro Mouri and his wife were both in misery.

Shinichi couldn't believe it. "S-Sore wa... SORE WA BAKANA!!!" he kept screaming in pain that he tried taking off the dextrose. With that, both knew they have to control him. They asked the nurse stationed there to quickly sedate him as he was crying hard because of emotional pain.

When he's completely sedated and asleep again, Yukiko Kudo went beside her son and embraced him. "You need to rest for a while, son... I'm sorry but we have to do this.".
