"Conan... are you ready? We're returning to normal now. It's a bittersweet goodbye to our old lives!" Ai Haibara told Conan. 

Conan badly wanted to become Shinichi once again and return to Ran. They were both nervous of an unknown future as they were both staring at the completed antidote, countering the effect of APTX 4869.

They were both inside Professor Agasa's house and so, both were in separate cubicles so that when they return to normal, they won't see each other's bodies.

Professor Agasa is busy preparing their clothes near them so that when they return to normal, they would be wearing the clothes that would fit them.

They drank it at the same time and both experienced the heart attack-like pain in their chests. When it subsided, her small clothes were ripped off. She was so happy. She's finally back to normal. She looked down the door and saw the paper bag which Professor Agasa gave her. She quickly took it and dressed up. She wore a white blouse and blue trousers. 

She went to check if Conan's back as Shinichi but the only thing she could hear is his sobs.

She knocked on the door, "Shi-Shinichi... what happened?"

"You're back to normal, Haibara?" he asked.

"Yes. How about you?" she asked worriedly. She's getting nervous. Did the antidote helped him return to normal or it didn't affect him at all?

"LEAVE ME ALONE SHIHO MIYANO!!!! I'M FOREVER STUCK AS A KID!!! Genta, Mitsuhiko and Ayumi are now junior high school students! They've noticed already. I stopped at this age. I am forever in third grade. They know that it's impossible that it is dwarfism. They're not like before. I cannot trick them anymore. They've grown already and are aware of this world. I should have been in College now but... look at me... I'm stuck. My body's not responding to the antidote anymore," he cried.

They never knew that Ran would overhear their conversation when Professor Agasa invited her over to see Shinichi, once again. She was totally surprised. 

She badly wanted to know if Conan's telling the truth. 

She burst inside and shouted, "What's happening here?" Then, when her eyes laid on Shiho, she became confused.

"Who are you?" she asked. Shiho Miyano just ran without explaining to her anything.

Ran looked at her confoundedly and knocked on Conan's cubicle. "Conan... tell me.. you're not Shinichi.. right?"

Conan flinched inside. He doesn't know if he still needs to keep it a secret. He didn't reply to her.

"Conan, I'm waiting for Shinichi for too long. It'll hurt me if I learn that I never knew that he's always been beside me all along and you kept it a secret." Conan kept his tears. He knew now that he must stop hiding his real identity.

"He's always beside you. He's hurt hiding it for so many years," he told her. The revelation fell like a thunder in her heart. She fell on her knees and cried.

I NEVER EXPECTED IT...

CONAN AND SHINICHI....

IT CAN'T BE!!!!

THEY'RE NOT THE SAME PERSON!!!

But...

Something inside me... tells me to believe that Conan's telling the truth...

"Shi-chan... did you become like that after we went at Tropical Island? Since that day, you suddenly vanished and you rarely go back. Why did you hide this secret?"

"You're really like your mother, you know? You're really different from your father. I did hide it... to protect you."

"Shinichi... can time machines be real? If they're real... I badly want to change the past and prevent you from being stuck in your child form and return you to normal."

"There is... they just don't make it anymore. My old friend's conclusions were destroyed by fire in Russia."

"Then if that is true... I wanted to go back in time and save you."
