Kurisu was busy constructing the machine once again with the help of Rintarou, of course. He wondered why his father wanted to help Shinichi but most of all, he wanted his world to be safe and sound.

He would help a struggling, young man to save his beloved the way he pursued the past long before.

How could he mourn the past now, anyways? They would just have to reset everything and help him to defeat the Black Organization that shrunk him.

Their journey would be more dangerous now. They will have to fight against the seed of all seeds of destruction, the leader of the underground society, the unknown man hiding in the shadows would have to reveal himself soon enough.

"Come, shounen! Anata wa kowaii, shounen desu ka?" *Are you afraid, boy?

The Time Leap Machine was transformed for three people to travel and now, they bid goodbye to Mayuri and to Rintarou's father.

They put the apparatus on their heads and said, "In the next minute, you would forget that you asked me to help Shinichi, Mayuri. Well, my mind, our minds would just reconnect our minds from the body of our past. This isn't really a goodbye," Rintarou told his childhood bestfriend.

"Ganbatte ne!" Mayuri told him.

"Mochiron!!! Sayonara, Mayuri!" he replied back but as they return to their bodies from the past, as their consciousness go blur, Okabe, Shinichi and Kurisu witnessed that there were SERN members who murdered Mayuri and his father on the spot.

Luckily, the transfer to the past is completed. Kurisu was the last one to wake up. She looked at Okabe and she was surprised that he isn't even shaken by it. "Where are we?" she asked.

"We're back in Japan, now, Kurisu-chan," he told him.

"It seems we actually expanded the days and months that the machine can do," he replied to him.

"So, when is this?" Kurisu asked.

"Before Shiho Miyano sends a d mail, Kurisu," he answered her. "He must know what and why the Time Leap Machine sent him here."
