Chapter 3
(Time Skip to Lunch, and still Jin's P.O.V. if you are confused ;3)
I walk straight to the cafeteria trying my best to not bump into anyone. Everyone rushed to the cafeteria like a herd of chickens being attacked by ocelots.
As I was in the crowd, I stayed close to the wall. Yeah, I know I could get rammed into the wall, but I don't want to get tripped and trampled on.
I noticed Sky with his group. Ross, Barney, and two other people I don't know, yet. I think I'll try to gain some popularity this time. And new school, new start.
Instead of being some nerd, I could upgrade to Jin. But from judging by this school, I may not even reach that limit. But if I hung with Sky, he seems pretty popular... No, I could never use Sky! That's extremely inhuman.
But I should use it at my advantage, right? I mean, it wouldn't hurt to use Sky for a bit-
"Oh, hey Jin! Guys, and girl, meet Jin, a new student who basically saved me from an attack." Sky smiled. I walk over slowly. "H-hi..." I mutter quietly.
"Hi!" The girl said. "I'm Jess, but people call me Aphmau." She had a cool shade of hair that seemed a bit wavy, a gray hay, purple top and shorts.
"Hello." A frog hybrid said. "Names Kermit." He also had a white suit. (I wonder how many people don't know who he is. XD His real names Dakota btw, Sky's old friend from the old times.)
"H-hi." Ugh, why am I so shy!? "Aw, he's cute." Jess said. "Already hitting on the new kid? I thought you had somebody else." Ross wiggled his eyebrows.
"Shut up, Ross." Jess playfully punched him. "I thinks wes should grabs a tables before everyone steals the good ones." Barney said.
"Oh, yeah. We should! Come on, Jin. You can sit with us." Sky smiled. I smile back. "Th-thanks."
We pick a table somewhere in the center which was empty. "Rule one Jin for surviving school, stay away from the trash cans in the corner there." Kermit pointed. "Why?"
"That's where the disgusting people sit. They pick their noses and eat it." Jess gagged. "I heard they eat squid over there." Sky whispered. "You've always had a problem with squids." Ross rolled his eyes.
"They are evil. I swear one will kill you someday. One killed a squirrel in front of me!" Sky argued. "Uh, huh." Jess took a bite of her sandwich she brought.
"Hey, remember the time Sky saw a squid hybrid?" Kermit said. "Oh my goodness. He wouldn't stop staring at him." Ross laughed. "Poor David. He got bullied on his first day because of Sky." Jess said.
"I don't like or trust squids in anyway." Sky huffed. "How could a squid hybrid even breath. I mean, the chances of that is the genes mixing together, but he could have human like lungs, but the chances of that are pretty low of for a squid. It makes sense for a narwhal to breath, but a squid. And I would think hybrids meant for water had an underwater school even if they could breathe on land." I mutter.
"Woah, remind mes to sit next to him in any class he has with me when taking a test." Barney said. "And that's the most I've ever heard out of him. Or maybe anyone talking about something smart." Sky said.
Really!? Did I just act smart? I'm trying to boost it up my chances, not lower them! "I, uh, er..." I lost my words. "Oh no. It's cool if you're smart, if that's what you're thinking, you might actually get paid to do homework." Jess said.
"Plus, Sky needs a tutor." Kermit said. "Just check his grades." "H-hey!" Sky blushed in embarrassment. I chuckle a bit.
"I-I could tutor you. I have nothing else at home." I said. I would never want to go back home. Some, things go on there. I rather not talk about.
"Cool! I do get pretty lonely anyway. Hm, that reminds me. I should probably plan something for Saturday." Sky said. "Ugh, that's like the 13th party this month!" Ross said.
"Well, I have no one else at home, ya know. Parents out again this month." Sky said. He frowned a bit. I would spend time with him, but I kind of barely know him. But it would be nice to stay away from home. Well, more like a torture prison. I'll see if I can fully get along with Sky first before anything else.
"Aw, buddy. You have us. My schedule is pretty open for this month." Ross hugged him. "Daw, thanks." Sky chuckled. "Yeahs, I think I could spend sometime with you. My homework is finished." Barney said. "I'm might be busy, but I'll see if I can join." Kermit said. "I'll surely join, maybe. If my schedule is empty." Jess said.
"How about you, Jin?" Ross asked. "I'm never really busy. Mostly not at all." I said. "Wow, you seem like a busy person." Jess said. I shook my head. "N-no."
"Well, how about me and you hang!" Sky smiled. "Sure!" I said a little more excited. Anyway to get away from home. Even if we go climb a mountain, sure if I can stay away from home.
"Cool, here's my number." Sky gave me a slip of paper. "Why do you have your phone number in your pocket?" Barney ask. "So if any girl ask for his phone number." Ross said. "Least likely." Kermit chuckled.
"I'm an attractive person! I've dated more women then you guys at least." Sky said. The guys laughed. "They both dumped you though, you were always to needy." Ross said.
"I'm not needy! Just like their company, that's all." Sky said. "Needy." Jess whispered loudly. "Shut up. If you guys knew what it's like being alone." He said. I sometimes do, I feel so alone not being able to talk about my problems. But that's mentally, Sky obviously means physically.
"Hey, I just realized we have ten minutes left and we didn't get anything to eat." Kermit said. "Well, Jess dids." Barney pointed. "Give me the gummy fruits you don't like." Sky said.
"Fine." Jess gave Sky the gummy fruits. "Me want one!" Ross said. "Okay." Sky out one on his horn. "No! I can't reach it!" Ross said reaching for the gummy. Everyone laughed.
"Quick, someone give me a fork!" Ross said. "Will that scratch your horn?" I ask. "I wasn't going to use it for the gummy, I just really want a fork." I chuckle a bit.
I don't really feel like eating. Maybe later I could eat at the nearest fast food place, like Creeper Greens I saw while walking around the area when we first moved here.
"Well, lunch will be over in a few seconds." The bell rang. "Well, bye guys! Nice meeting you Jin!" Jess left. "Bye!" Kermit left. "Oh, look. Um, I have math next. Bye!" Ross left with the gummy still on his horn.
Then it was just me, Sky, and Barney. "I'm going to Crafting. Bye guys." Barney said. "Bye." Me and Sky said at the same time which we laughed at.
"Hmm, I'm pretty sure I have Parkour next." I sighed. I always stunk at that. "Yes, that's my next class too! And Jason and Ty will be there!" Sky said. "Hm?"
"They're one of my close friends. You'll love them!" Sky said and grabbed my hand leading me to the gym. "I'm not exactly good at parkour." I said before we went into the gym.
"Don't worry, you'll get better. I was once terrible, now I'm in the top ten! Jason is great too, he's in the top ten as well!" Sky said. "I- well, okay."
Parkour, my worst enemy, this will be fun!
