Part 8
Lycan stayed where he was, aware that if he got closer then he would get hurt, exactly how badly he didn't know, but the last thing that would be need was more injuries. The cave was starting to crumble, not enough to be in danger of caving in but enough that you would want to be wary of any large chunks falling and landing on top of you. Especially the stalactites that hung from the ceiling.
"Woah woah! Hold on! I'm here to help! No need for the hostility!" Lycan wasn't afraid of them, but he was feeling anxious. These people might not know about the white corruption and if they find one of the sources that infects those with it then they would be in a lot of trouble. There have been people in the past who mistook the source as something else and touched it, so he wanted to make sure that none of them would end up getting infected, nor attacked by any of the shapes in Paradise who have been infected.
"Oh jeez. Lycan are you ok?" Barracuda asked, concern showing in his eye. Lycan only nodded in response. "I can't tell of this is going worse or better than I thought. Worse because they think we are the enemy or better because a lot of people seemed to have survived that crash."
Lycan never took his eyes off of the figure who had his weapon pointed at him, at least until he heard the faint cracking of the roof of the cave. He glanced up for a moment and saw that some of the stalactites were starting to crack in the parts connected to the ceiling. Lycan's eyes widened when he noticed that, not only were the stalactites over the heads of some of these people, including the one with their weapon pointed at him, but from one of the cracks he could see the source of the white corruption starting to ooze out of the cracks of one of the stalactites.
"Look out! Above you!" Lycan almost screamed as he stared at the stalactites. He knew that the stalactites could miss but the white corruption is something not to be messed with.
Heli backed up quickly, realizing now what the situation was. She quickly rushed off to go find the heroes so that they could help deal with this.
Cube had just walked outside to speak with the heroes for a moment when the shapes came running over to them. "Oh, hello! I haven't seen you around here before." He smiled at seeing the shapes before the smile fading to a slightly anxious smile. "Sorry I can't talk I have something cooking in the house. I just needed to speak to the heroes for a moment. I'll be back out in a few moments." He said before walking back inside to finish up cooking.
The heroes all turned to the two shapes, curiosity and friendliness filling their gaze. The blue hero was the first one to speak. "Hi, my name is Cyan. What are your names?"
Cube sighed heavily as he walked back in and went back to his cooking. Thankfully, nothing was burned in the short time that he had gone to tell the heroes about their unexpected guest. He was starting to wonder if he should bring his guest to the Tree of Life much sooner than he planned, considering that the figure didn't look like they were waking up any time soon, and at this rate Cube was starting to wonder if he would never wake up.
Ack! I promised to make this sooner than now but I didn't expect to leave my house for a few hours twice in one day!
