"Help, We Are Angels" (Chapter 9)

(This chapter is mostly focused on two of my OCs and is mainly to show their personality and just character development in general. You could probably skip this chapter of you aren't interested in knowing about these characters. If you are interested- do tell me what you think ^-^)

(Slight swearing btw)

"I really screwed up back there, huh?"
A red woman, splayed across a red puffy futon, sighed as she took a swig of her alcoholic beverage.
"Well you weren't exactly wrong." Another woman, peachy and slightly plump, walked into the room through red and pink beaded curtains, holding more bottles of liquor.
"I mean, what you said was pretty much fact and she's going to have to deal with it sooner or later." She remarked as she poured another drink for her dearest sister.
"That's not the point." The scantily-cladded woman replied before downing her drink in a few gulps.
She violently slammed the glass down onto the cruddy, wooden table, nearly breaking it in the process.
"What I meant to say was that I should've worded it better. If I just learned how to chill for one f***ing second, then perhaps things would've turned out differently. But no, I had to go and be all stupid and not only did I not fix anything I instead just made it worse!" Her breaths were sharp and heavy and she soon realized she hadn't even breathed during her whole tangent.
She put her head into her hands and moaned.
"Ugh this is stressful, and I hate stress! I don't know how you manage to do this everyday without having to bust out a couple of martinis!"
"Well." The pink haired one started.
"It's because I have such an amazing sister to help me through these hard times." She wrapped her arms around the other sister's neck from behind.
"Oh please! We both know that's a load of horse sh**! I am anything but amazing. I'm sexy, but that's pretty much it."
Her sister gave her a light smack whilst giggling.
"It's true I tell you! You've really helped me through those rough times. Especially back when things weren't so grey..." A bright smiled turned sour.
"I kinda miss it when things were black and white." Reminisced the red one.
"I don't." Retorted the pink one.
"I know you don't, but living in a world so grey and not knowing who is good and who is not really makes me uneasy."
"But isn't that what makes this so fun. Knowing everything and everyone is quite boring if you ask me."
"Yeah but- there's always this nagging feeling of whether the person you could be talking to may or may not be a psychopathic serial killer! Back then it was easy to tell who to stay away from and who to hang out. No one had secrets and you're colleagues all loved you, no matter what the situation might be."
"Was it real love or was it a rule they followed in order to not get damned into the void? Real love is what we are doing now, Nicole. We are experiencing life, life that was hidden away from us all! The past is long gone, so please, just forget about it..."
"It's hard, Anthony.... Knowing that perhaps none of those people back there loved me and that all of their compliments they've given me were all lies just really hurts. I trusted them and they were practically my family!" Her face reddened even more than it already was, tears cooling down her hot face.
"It sucks, because I know them- I was one of them! And just by that I know that what they said is all a lie, it's what kept us alive! I just wish it weren't true..."
"As cruel as it may seem, if none of that happened then we both wouldn't be sitting here, chatting away happily." Anthony hugged Nicole harder.
"Are things really happy at the moment? Wouldn't things be much better if things were like it was before...?" Nicole muttered.
"No it would not. Things would've never gotten better if we stayed there..." Anthony leaned her face closer to her sobbing sister's face and gently nudged her.
"Quit worrying about the past. The past has been said and done! Just enjoy your moments of freedom, while they still last!" She reassured.
Nicole faintly smiled, wiping away the once perfectly done makeup that had now been tainted by tears.
"...Thanks. Really means a lot to me." She sniffled.
"Uuggggghhh, I'm all disgusting lookin' now. Brb I'm gonna redo this crap again." She then got up and headed towards the bathroom.
As soon as she closed the bathroom door, there was a loud knock.
"OOOOH COME OOON!" Nicole moaned.
She violently slammed down her makeup supplies.
"Can't they see that the club is closed! Like read the damn sign for The Lord's sake!" She angrily marched over towards the main entrance of the club and swung open the glass door.
"Can't you see that the club's closed?! The lights aren't even on!"
"Um...sorry..."
She took a double take at the newcomers and sighed in annoyance.
"Oh great, some more anthropomorphic-animal albinos..."

(That's the end of this chapter! I hope you guys don't mind that this is focused solely on my OCs. There may be more of chapters like these, mainly as a character development thing or whatever. Sorry I haven't posted, I've been very busy!! Anyways- Bye-bee! Stay Orange~! Comment down below what you thought of this chapter!)
