Chapter 13, Takashi and Yami...
*No one's POV*
A weekend, Yami has grown to hate it because he is forced to go out on missions he wanted no part of. This mission was to get supplies that have been stolen from the Sennen's and he was allowed to shoot when he felt threatened.
But he just shot a few people that annoyed him. "Yami your focus is off today, what's going on?" Takashi asked the younger as he snapped the neck of the person he was holding.
Yami sighed, not even understanding his own feelings or how to talk about them. "To be honest Takashi I have no idea, but what I do know is," Yami said and turned to the person that tried to stab him earlier. He now had his own knife in his shoulder. Yami pulled the trigger and stretched his arms. "His face annoyed me."
Takashi shook his head, wanting him to be happy but whatever is occupying his mind is throwing him off. They secured the supplies and Yami was straight to the phone to get someone to come and pick up the stuff.
"Let's go back to the car, the team is on it's way," Yami said and was on his way out. Takashi followed him and by the time he got out Yami was sitting in the car and on his phone. Takashi got in the driver sit and started the car. "Can we get something to eat on the way?"
"Will you answer my question?" Takashi said and Yami stayed quiet. "You've been quiet around the mansion since you got that mission about the Muto family."
That cleary set something off in Yami because he slammed his hand off the arm rest.
"If you don't wanna see me in a bad mood then shut the hell up," Yami growled and Takashi slapped his head with a free hand. "Dude what the he-"
"I think you forget who you are talking to, I don't deserve this attitude do I?" Takashi asked and Yami became silent. "So how about this, when we get back and speak to your father come back to my office and we'll talk. Man to man alright?"
Yami had a small smile on him as he nodded his head. Takashi got them home, forgetting to get something to eat, and stepped out the car before Yami could and got the door for him. "For you young sir," Takshi said and Yami punched his arm as he got out.
The two wrapped an arm around each other as they reached the mansion, both in a good mood and looking forward to the talk they were going to have. But what they saw at the door made Yami stop and drop his arm. His father was standing at the door with another women at his waist as he was attacking her neck.
Takashi didn't have to turn to know Yami's mood was killed having to see this again. The boss spotted them and made the women leave while winking at her. The two got to the door and the boss patted Takashi's shoulder.
"My best man can always do good! I just hope that this little child didn't get in the way," Yami's father said and just glanced at Yami's direction. Takashi sighed as he moved the hand sitting on his shoulder.
"He finished the job himself so give him all the credit," Takashi said and patted Yami's back.
"Ah well. Good job," Yami's father said and went back in.
The two followed him in and Yami went to Takashi's room, mainly because he had a secret door in his room that lead to their 'hand out' room. It was filled with actual colour on the walls and had beanbags to sit on, at least 4 and a mini fridge.
He flopped down on the beanbag and sighed out, today has been putting a lot of stress on him as Yugi had been on his mind. He really didn't want to admit it, but he was interested in Yugi... in why his father wants after him so bad.
He was dozing off, the peaceful sound of a music box was soothing. Until the door opened and Takashi came in.
"God your old man can talk for anything. He makes me sick though, if it wasn't for you and your brother I would be long gone," Takashi said and closed the door. He sat on the beanbag close to Yami and held his hand. "So are you ready to talk to me like we said?"
Yami let out a sigh, as he tightened the grip on his hand.
"You know the mission my father gave me? A-About the younger Muto brother?" Yami said and Takashi hummed as he looked around the room. "I can't complete it."
"How so?"
"B-Because..." Yami mumbled and felt his cheeks start to heat up. "Because he doesn't deserve that, he's an innocent person and I don't want to hurt him."
"Ah. I see," Takashi said and laughed. "This boy your friend?"
Yami hummed as he felt Takashi's hand be removed from his own. Takashi stood up and walked to the window he had which showed a tire swing in a tree. Yami's mind had began to wonder, to what was Yugi doing? What was Yugi feeling? What does Yugi think abo-
"What do you think about this boy?" Takashi asked and Yami almost choked on nothing. "You normally don't care when you're told to bring someone in, so why now?"
Yami started to tiddle his fingers and looking down at them, not wanting to look at Takashi in the face.
"Well. I er....saved him before...he's nice and I promised to keep him safe," Yami mumbled and thought of Yugi's smiled. He ended up smiling as well. "He's nice..."
"So let me ask you one more thing. Are you in love with this boy?" Takashi said and that was when Yami threw a pillow at him. "What? The way you talk about him and get nervous, don't think I didn't see you playing with your thumbs."
"Alright first, I'm not gay. I know better," Yami said and Takashi's smile faded. His father beat it into him that liking a boy would mean he would put Yami on the streets after he was covered in bruises. "And I don't know how I think of him. He's just someone I want to keep away from all this shit."
Takashi knew it was love, he has never seen Yami talk about anyone like this before. But Yami will never admit it, because of the fear his father has beat into him. He nodded his head to Yami and went to the fridge and pulled out two cans. He threw one at Yami who caught it and sat down.
"I'm gonna help you with this. You have a good friend you wanna keep safe and I want to assist," Takashi said and opened the can. "Your father will never know, and your friend will never meet him. Yugi Muto is now under my surveillance."
"Thanks Takashi, you're literally the best human on this planet," Yami said and opened his. 'Best human'. Takashi thought and laughed. He knew who Yami sees slightly above him in his heart. "To keeping him safe."
"To keeping him safe."
They toasted and had a drink of their cans, Yami finally happy he talked to someone about his secret.
Honestly, Takashi should adopt the Sennen brothers. Much more gentle to them then their actual father. So what do you all think of Yami talking to Takashi? Will things be able to kept under, or will somehow things down the line go South?
