"Good morning!" Lila said as she skipped into the office.
Her co-worker Abigail raised her eyebrows and sat back in her chair. "What's got you in such a good mood today?"
"Oh, nothing." She responded, even though she couldn't wipe the smile off her face. She knew she couldn't tell anyone who she had spent the evening with, but she just couldn't keep her joy inside either.
Last night had been... Perfect. Wooyoung had been so hesitant to leave, but Lila had fallen asleep during the movie snuggled into his arm. He was so respectful, saying he didn't want to overstay his welcome. Plus he had an early interview this morning.
Lila brought her fingers to her lips as she remembered the kisses they had shared yesterday. Was she allowed to still fangirl over something like this? She didn't know, but she was.
"Ok, spill it!" Abigail shoved her chair into Lila's cubicle and sat down. "I have not seen you ever smile this much! Who is he? Or she?"
Laughing, Lila sat in her own chair and waved her hands in front of her. "Alright, alright. I may have met someone, but I don't want to say anything yet in case I jinx it."
Abigail sighed dramatically. "Well at least tell me this. What are they like?"
"He is..." Lila placed her hands on her cheeks and shook her head. "He is amazing. So kind and thoughtful, and his smile gets me every time. He's humble too, and easy to tease."
"I thought I heard someone talking about me."
Lila looked up to see her other co-worker leaning against her cubicle. She blushed and dropped her hands. "Oh! Hi Nathaniel."
"Go on, keep going." He motioned with a smirk on his face. "You were just saying how amazing I am?"
The three of them laughed as Lila just waved him off and said, "Yeah, sure Nate."
"Hey, Boss was looking for you by the way." He said, offering her a nervous smile.
Lila gulped and pulled out her typed up article. "Wish me luck."
"You got this." Nathaniel gave her a hug as she walked by.
Being called into Mr. Evans' office wasn't always a good thing. If he wanted to talk about an article for the magazine he usually came straight to the person's desk. Too many people had walked out of his office without a job.
But Lila had confidence in her interview, so she held her head high and walked to the other end of the floor. She knocked on the thick, wooden door three times before opening it slowly. "You wanted to see me Mr. Evans?"
"Sit down." He said from where he was sitting behind his desk.
She obeyed instantly, knowing it would make things worse if she kept him waiting. He was pounding on his keyboard and didn't look at her until he had finished. Then his cold, blue-grey eyes locked her in place as he held out a hand. She gave him her interview and waiting nervously as he read it.
He set it down after several long minutes and tapped his fingers against the table. Lila had to work hard not to fidget as he stared at her, unblinking, and ran his tongue over his teeth. "Pick out some pictures to go with the article and get it to publishing."
Her jaw dropped. "You're going to publish it?"
"Yes. I'm going to give it a chance. If it is received well by our readers, then I will look at giving you more interview. It's... Surprisingly well written."
"Th-Thank you, Sir!"
"Get out." He turned back to his computer and waved his hand at her.
Lila stood and hurried out of the room, holding her article close to her chest. Nathaniel and Abigail were waiting for her at her desk with wide eyes, but they could tell by her face that it was getting published.
Nathaniel ran up to her and spun her around in a circle. "This is amazing! Your first published story! I'm so proud of you!"
"Thanks, Nate!" Lila laughed and stepped up to her desk. "I need to find some pictures to include with the article, I'll talk to you guys later."
"You go get them girl." Abigail winked at her before walking to the next cubicle.
Nate gave her one last smile and seemed to hesitate but turned to leave.
Finally, she was alone. The first thing she did was pull out her phone and was surprised to see a text message waiting for her.
Wooyoung
I can't stop thinking about you.
Lila had to cover her mouth to keep herself from making a sound.
Wooyoung
Last night was one of the best nights of my life.
Can I see you again tonight?
Lila
I would love that.
But I have news.
She went to put her phone down so she could start pulling up pictures for Wooyoung's movie when her phone vibrated immediately.
Wooyoung
What's that?
Lila
My boss approved the article I wrote about our interview!
Wooyoung
That is amazing! I am so proud of you.
We are going out to celebrate tonight.
Where would you like to go?
Lila
Where would be the easiest place for you to go?
We don't even have to go out.
I know it's not easy for you.
Wooyoung
You're amazing, you know that?
But I'll deal with that.
What time do you get off?
Lila
4pm.
Wooyoung
See you later.
Lila brought her phone to her nose and spun her chair in a circle. For the fourth day in a row she was going to get to see him.
She had to force herself to get back to work, but then again, it wasn't really work because it gave her an excuse to just look up pictures of him.
"You're pathetic, Lila." She smiled to herself as she sifted through pictures from the movie, trying to find the perfect ones to do both Yeosang and Wooyoung justice.

"Seonghwa! I need you to make something special tonight." Wooyoung said into the phone as he paced around his room.
"Why?" The older said.
"Please?"
"And who are we making this something special for?"
Wooyoung pursed his lips, not sure what to say. "Um... Well..."
Something shattered on the other side. "No. You did it, didn't you?" Wooyoung could just see the smirk on Seonghwa's face. "So what did you do?"
"Exactly... What you told me to do." He grumbled and heard the older start to laugh. "Hwa, why do you have to be like this?"
"Because you are a lost soul that needs saving. What time are you coming? I'll close the diner down so you have some privacy."
"You don't need to do that. Just keep that back booth open for us."
"She must be crazy." Seonghwa chuckled before ending the call.
Wooyoung huffed and his bottom lip jutted out in a slight pout as he glared at his phone. Sometimes he really hated that he relied on Seonghwa so much, but he really was a good friend.
He glanced at the time and realized that Lila got off in an hour. He really wished he could surprise her by meeting her out front, but his manager was keeping him on lockdown. If there was any unwanted press, he was going to flip.
So he had to settle for another one of his oversized hoodies and large sunglasses. He sighed as he pulled it over his head. The fact that he had to hide who he was while out in public with Lila made him feel terrible.
If he was a normal person, then they could have a normal relationship... Hold hands in public, go out to eat at different places, go on an actual date...
Lila made it seem like that didn't really bother her, and the fact that he was an actor hadn't come up at all the day before. But that didn't stop him from wanting to spoil her. He barely even knew her and he already wanted to give her the world.
Wooyoung blushed at his own thoughts and shook his head.
Seonghwa was right. He had it bad.

Lila hummed to herself as she finished up her work for the day. She was trying to hurry so all she had to do was go straight home to change.
She was just about to leave when there was a light knock on her cubicle wall.
"Hey." Nathaniel said, leaning against the side of the wall.
"Hey! What's up?" Lila asked, glancing at him for a second before turning to pack up her work bag.
"I was actually wondering if I could take you out tonight to celebrate." Lila felt her heart sink a little when she turned to see the brightest smile on his face.
"Oh, Nate. I actually have plans already. I'm sorry."
He gave her a skeptical look. "Who with?"
"Just a friend of mine."
"Who? I know it's not San, you already said he was busy tonight." Nathaniel crossed his arms.
Lila paused and looked at him. "Does it matter? I'm busy, Nate. You're sweet for offering, maybe another night."
"Yeah, sure." He said, spinning on his heels and marching away.
Abigail popped her head over the wall. "What's his deal?"
"I have no idea, but I'm out of here girl. I'll see you tomorrow!" Lila's smile returned as she sped out of the office.
The drive home took forever. There was an accident on one of the roads, so what normally would be a fifteen minute drive for her took her almost an hour. When she finally parked, Lila slammed her door shut and ran up three flights of stairs.
Well, almost three flights. She was in such a hurry her foot caught on one of the stairs and ended up falling up the stairs.
"Oh my gosh! Are you ok?"
Lila froze and groaned, cursing her back luck. She heard footsteps running to her and felt gentle hands lifting her off the ground. "I can't believe you saw that..." She heard the gently laugh she loved so much and looked down at the ground. "Wh-What are y-you doing here?" She asked as she tried to tuck a loose strand of hair.
Wooyoung did it for her. "I wanted to surprise you. I have the evening off, and I wasn't doing anything so..."
"How long have you been here?" Lila stared at him with wide eyes. "Please tell me you haven't been here since four... I got caught in traffic and-"
"Calm down. I won't tell you that I've been here since four." Wooyoung said, a slight blush coming to his face. He turned away quickly and grabbed her hand like it was the most natural thing in the world. "I'm sure you probably want to get freshened up, right?"
"Y-Yes, I won't be long though." Lila bit her lip and followed him to her front door.
True to her word, she changed quickly, touched up her makeup and made sure her hair was ok before she and Wooyoung walked over to Hwa's. He was a little jumpy, having to turn his head whenever they walked by someone, but thankfully they were in a quieter neighborhood.
They went to the booth in the corner and Wooyoung sighed when he could finally get situated in the corner and relax. "That's better." He said.
Lila just smiled at him and went to grab the menus. He surprised her by stopping her and holding onto her hand on top of the table. "I've got it taken care of."
"Oh yeah, he's got EVERYTHING planned." Seonghwa came and plopped down on the seat next to Lila, rolling his eyes.
"Really? Already?" Wooyoung said, glaring at the older. Lila squeezed his hand even though she was laughing as Seonghwa shrugged his shoulders.
"You must be crazy to be here again with him." He turned to her, his blue eyes flashing. "Why don't we ditch shrimpy here and I can show you what a real man is like?"
"Hey!" Wooyoung cried out.
"No thanks." Lila said at the same time. Seonghwa's eyebrows raised up in surprise and he let out a chuckle.
"Good job kid. I'll go get your food." He sent a wink to Wooyoung and slid out of the booth.
She felt her face heat up a little as she saw a look of admiration on Wooyoung's face, but neither one of them spoke on her rejection of Seonghwa. Instead, he asked her about her article and they discussed what he could expect when it comes out.
Seonghwa ended up making individual chicken pot pies for them that were just divine.
Lila was really enjoying herself, until the door opened and she saw Nathaniel walk in. His shoulders were hunched and he had a scowl on.
"What's wrong?" Wooyoung asked, noticing her discomfort.
"One of my coworkers just walked in. He's going to recognize you. Can you hide in the back?"
Wooyoung nodded and grabbed his dishes and slipped into the kitchen.
Lila took several breaths, trying to calm her racing heart and pulled out a book from her bag. She saw movement and knew that he had seen her.
"Fancy running into you here." Nathaniel said. His voice sounded a bit tense.
"Oh, hi Nate!" Lila did her best to feign surprise. "What are you doing on this side of town?"
"I thought you were meeting a friend."
"I was. They left already." She said hesitantly. Why was he acting so weird?
He glanced down at her half eaten pot pie. "Can I join you then?"
Lila was just about to speak when Seonghwa came over. "Here's your box, sweetie. And the cab is waiting for you out front."
Nathaniel shot Seonghwa a glare. "I'll take that as another no." He sighed and shoved his hands in his pockets.
"Sorry, maybe next time." She said quickly, sliding out of the seat. She glanced at Seonghwa, who had a very stern look on his face.
Nate just huffed and walked out of the diner.
"Are you ok?" Seonghwa whispered, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"I originally brought you the box because Wooyoung was just ready to leave. But I don't like the way that guy was acting..."
"He was a little strange tonight. Maybe something happened at work..." Lila chewed on her lip. Seonghwa just grunted and squeezed her shoulder before walking away.
She hurried out front and jumped in the cab. Wooyoung gave her a concerned look from under his hood. "Is everything ok?"
"Oh yeah, he's just a coworker. He had wanted to go out tonight, but I had plans with someone else." She gave him a shy smile.
"And who is that someone else? Do I need to be jealous?"
"No." Lila leaned forward and connected their lips. She had been dying to do that all night, and now that they were in the semi privacy of a cab, she finally could.
