She had to be dreaming. That's what this felt like.
One big dream.
Maybe she had passed out after Nate had started to touch her and this was her mind's way of trying to get her to not focus on it. It wasn't working because she could still feel his fingers entering her or his hand choking her...
And the pillow...
No. She was dead.
Nate had killed her.
Because there was no way she was sitting with both San and Wooyoung speaking loving words to her while Wooyoung pressed his lips to her head repeatedly.
If this was heaven then at least she was able to see Wooyoung again. At least she could be happy.
The car they were in stopped and San slid out to turn around and help Lila and Wooyoung out. "Take it slow. Easy." He said, holding onto her elbows as Wooyoung rotated her so her feet were on the ground.
Lila didn't understand... Why were they moving? Heaven or a dream... Either way she just wanted to stay curled up with them and not worry about anything else.
She made a small sound of protest and both boys froze, looking at her with wide eyes. "What's wrong?" Wooyoung asked gently, wrapping an arm around her stomach to support her.
"Woo..." she mumbled, letting her head fall back on his shoulder and turning it so her nose was pressed to his neck.
His skin started to feel warmer and she smiled. Her Wooyoung... She didn't need anything else right now. Just her Wooyoung.
"She seems dazed." Another voice that she kind of recognized said. Something turned her head and was pressed against her forehead. "And she feels warm. I think she's still in a bit of shock. Let me run inside and let everyone know what's going on so they don't overwhelm her. I think she just needs some rest."
"Woo..." She said again as the world fell out from under her.
Suddenly she was flying. The swaying motion was nice and she lost herself to it as her favorite pair of arms enveloped her.
"I'm here. We are going to go get some sleep so you don't get sick." His silky voice washed over her, and even though Lila didn't even fully comprehend what he was saying, she found herself nodding against his shoulder. She was pretty sure that if he told her to jump off a bridge right now she would do it. His voice held that kind of power over her right now.
Hushed whispers invaded her senses and she found herself trying to turn her head to see where they were coming from.
Her vision was blurry, but she thought she made out a head of red hair talking with someone really tall... But that didn't make any sense.
"What do you need me to do?" San's voice came from behind her.
That's right, San was here too. Lila let her head fall back as she tried to search for her best friend. "Sannie?"
"I'm right here sweetie." His blurry face came into her field of vision and she smiled.
"Maybe just a cold towel for her forehead? No... Warm one. She's really clammy right now. And she still has clothes here, right?" Wooyoung said, and Lila found herself drawn back to him.
"Yeah, she does. I'll get that towel and then I'll call Hwa and see if he can bring us some food."
"That would be great, oddly enough I'm starving." Wooyoung laughed.
It was the most magical sound. And it confirmed Lila's theory that this had to be heaven. His arms, his voice, his laugh, that's all she needed to be happy forever.
Her Wooyoung.
She felt herself being dropped out of the sky and something moving across her skin as her limp arms and legs were moved around.
Her eyelids fluttered as she tried to focus on her surroundings. She could see a figure moving around her that she guessed had to be Wooyoung. Especially when she felt soft lips on her cheeks and forehead periodically.
Lila shivered as she felt cold for a moment, but then her body was moved around again and something soft and silky brushed against her skin.
"Alright love, come on." Wooyoung whispered as Lila felt herself being lifted up briefly.
Then she was pressed entirely against his body and immediately started to rub her nose back and forth against his chest while she felt his hand tease her hair.
Yes. This was heaven. Lila was sure of it as she felt her senses start to leave her again and everything went black.

San worked hard to keep his breathing under control as he stood wrapped in Yeosang's arms.
He couldn't get the images of that house out of his mind, or seeing Lila tied up like that...
Nate was lucky Wooyoung was the one who decided to be reckless and run into the house and not him, because he wasn't sure he would have been able to stop until that bastard was dead.
San whimpered at the thought, not liking that his mind went there right away.
"It's ok. It's all over now" Yeosang said, rubbing the back of the younger's neck to try and relieve the tension there.
Taking another deep breath, San nodded and lifted his head up to look at his other guests.
Yunho and Mingi were standing off to the side, holding hands, while talking to Hongjoong.
He couldn't believe the doctor had flown out here from Wyoming just to support Lila. And for Yunho and Mingi to be here too... Hopefully they would all help Lila feel better once she was awake and doing better.
"Thank you for coming, guys." He said, stepping closer to them. "I'm going to order us some food. Hopefully Lila will be doing better in a bit."
"She's been through a lot," Hongjoong said, giving a gentle smile. "It's understandable that she's still in a state of shock. We just need to keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't take a turn for the worse."
"We've got you covered." Yunho said, exchanging a look with his fellow doctor.
San felt himself relax a little at the thought.
Then Roger stepped up from where he had been standing in the kitchen. "I'll get out of your hair for now. I'm sure I'll have some clean up to do with the police and everything. I'll take charge and make sure they contact me with any changes in the case, and then I'll contact one of you."
"Thank you for everything." San sighed, taking Roger's offered hand. "I don't think we could have made it through any of this without you."
The manager smiled and looked at the door that separated them from Lila and Wooyoung. "It's my honor. I'll talk to you soon."
Once Roger left, San pulled out his phone and called Seonghwa. The older instantly agreed to bring food over and said he would be there as soon as possible. It was obvious that he was anxious to see Lila too.
As the five of them waited for food, or for Lila to wake up, they fell into a semi-comfortable silence while watching some random movie on tv.
No one quite knew what to say right now. San said he wanted to wait to speak on what happened until Seonghwa got there so that he only had to relive it once.
He knew that he enjoyed being nestled into Yeosang's side though. It brought him so much comfort that he didn't know how he ever got along without him.
"I have an idea." Yeosang whispered into this hair.
San hummed in response and closed his eyes.
"I know the holidays are coming up. I think we all need a break from everything. My brother has invited us to come stay with him, and I bet he would be ok if Wooyoung and Lila came too. What do you say to a vacation?"
San lifted his head up and already felt the tears of happiness coming to his eyes. "Yes. That sounds perfect." He felt the excitement bubbling in his chest at the thought of his first Christmas with Yeosang. The movies had been put out so close together, that they hadn't even hit a year of dating, and neither had Lila and Wooyoung. But their films weren't that difficult to make and edit so it made sense that they could do them so close together. Plus it had taken a while for both couples to make things official.
Now that he thought about it, Thanksgiving was just around the corner. Having grown up in America, he had celebrated the holiday with his family, and then Lila once he stopped speaking to them, and always loved the idea of doing a large gathering with friends.
Maybe they would be able to do that this year.
Seonghwa showed up almost an hour later with Jongho behind him. The boy was shy when so many people around him suddenly and ducked into the kitchen immediately.
San stood to go help, kissing Yeosang's head as he passed. "Thanks for coming." He said as he walked in the kitchen.
"You really don't need to thank me. You know I'd do anything for you guys. How are they doing?"
"I'm not sure. Yunho said that Lila is most likely in a state of shock right now. She was pretty out of it. I don't think she really knows what's going on." San sighed and ran a hand through is hair.
Seonghwa chewed on his bottom lip and looked at him. "Was it that bad?"
The younger nodded. "Let me go check on them and then I'll come out and explain." He pushed off the counter and walked to Lila's room.
Slowly, he turned the handle and slipped inside.
What he saw melted his heart and made him cover his mouth so he muffled any sounds that came out.
Wooyoung was curled around Lila, who had her head pressed to his chest. Both were sound asleep, but had the slightest of smiles on their faces.
After all they'd been through, San couldn't bring himself to ruin this now. He would make sure they saved some food for them, but he wouldn't wake them.
When he returned to the living room, Yeosang was at his side immediately, rubbing his thumbs over San's cheeks to wipe away the tears. San gave him a grateful smile, then jumped when a plate broke against the floor in the kitchen. "Seonghwa?"
San ducked into he other room and saw the chef cleaning up the broken pieces off the floor. Hongjoong knelt next to him, trying to help. "S-Sorry San." Seonghwa said, standing up and dumping the pieces in the trash. "I didn't mean to."
"It was my fault." Hongjoong admitted. "I was trying to help and got in the way."
San opened his mouth to speak and noticed that Seonghwa was very red in the face. It made him pause. Normally the cook was very forward about things, why was he acting so... skittish?
The second Hongjoong stepped closer, Seonghwa's eyes widened and he turned away to pick up a tray of french fries. "L-Let's eat." He hurried out of the kitchen.
"I'll buy you a new plate." Hongjoong said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Don't worry about it." San said, smiling at him and waving it off. "They are old and probably need to be replaced anyway."
The two of them chuckled as they grabbed more food and took it to the living room. Jongho stood off to the side, looking like he didn't belong. He was the one who knew Lila the least, but San assumed he was there to support Seonghwa so he didn't say anything.
Taking a deep breath, San looked at everyone in turn. "I want to thank you for being here, to start with, I don't know where any of us would be without your support they past few months. Lila and Wooyoung are still sleeping, and I want it to stay that way. They have both been through enough."
"Is it true? What I saw on the news about Wooyoung and Rachel?" Mingi asked hesitantly.
San paused. There was a lot of explaining that needed to be done. "No. It was just proven today actually. Rachel faked the pregnancy trying to get Wooyoung to be with her. I believe that she figured out who Lila was and was hoping she'd be watching. That's why she dropped mine and Yeosang's name as well."
"Evil bitch." Yunho grumbled, crossing his arms. Mingi chuckled at him and wrapped and arm around his waist to pull him close.
"Yeah. And then on the other side, Nate blocked us from being able to call Lila. So I'm sure she thought we were just done with her after that interview. Or I at least know that he blocked me..."
"That and the guy just randomly showed up at the hospital and threw a hissy fit when we wouldn't let him up right away." Hongjoong huffed and ruffled his red hair.
Seonghwa shifted on the couch next to San, crossing his legs and sitting up a little straighter.
"And then he practically kidnapped her after the meeting with the lawyer!" The doctor continued. "I had no idea what to do!" He threw his hands in the air.
"You can't blame yourself." Yeosang said, his voice low but firm. "None of us knew what to do about him. Mostly because Lila..."
"Was blind." San finished for him. Yeosang cringed, but nodded. "And I can't blame her."
"This is because of her mother, isn't it?" Hongjoong asked.
San nodded. "For those of you who don't know. Lila's mom... She was abusive. And she told Lila several times that she wished she had never been born."
Yunho gasped and covered his mouth and Seonghwa looked like he was ready to put his fist through a wall.
"So I think the blind eye she turned toward Nate... Was because someone was showing that they cared for her. That's all she's ever wanted. But she was afraid to let people in. Plus she doesn't have a mean bone in her body..."
"Honestly? I never got a bad vibe from him, so I get it." Mingi said, rubbing his neck. "He was laid back through the interview at my store, took some good pictures, and then we ended up getting into a pretty decent rap battle."
"You would." Yunho rolled his eyes but patted Mingi's cheek at the same time. "I, on the other hand, knew right away when I was told he came in looking for a Choi San at my hospital that he's up to something."
San pursed his lips and nodded. "At least he's out of the picture now. I hope."
"I don't see how he wouldn't be. Alright San, what happened?" Seonghwa asked gently.
He turned to the older and closed his eyes when he felt Yeosang's hand on his shoulder. Then he told his five friends everything that had transpired over the past couple of weeks.
