Lila felt very relaxed as she stayed in the hospital room with her father. She spent a lot of time catching him up on her life, which of course meant talking about San and Wooyoung most of the time.
His eyes lit up once he remembered who San was and they spent a lot of time talking about how much of a support San had been for her.
There was a time that things got a little awkward as they tried to avoid what happened at home, but they always managed to come back from it.
Hongjoong would come and sit with them on his breaks, too. Lila could tell that he was very fond of her father. It warmed her heart to see the two of them interacting.
It was nice to see that her father still seemed to have some form of a spark left in him. Lila spent a lot of time just watching him as he spoke with Hongjoong. There was always a gentle smile there as they poked fun at each other, and he always looked a little sad when Hongjoong he to leave to get back to work.
On the second day she was there, Lila sent a quick update to Wooyoung and San, promising to call later to speak with them in person when her dad was sleeping.
She was just about to leave to get a snack when Hongjoong came hurrying in, a panicked look on his face. "I'm sorry, I couldn't stop her."
Lila took a step back and glanced at her father. His forehead was furrowed. "Go. I'll be ok."
"I don't want to leave you..." She said hesitantly. Then she spied the closet in the corner and grabbed her duffle back and jammed herself inside
She could see through the cracks in the locker and noticed that Hongjoong had stayed.
A few minutes later, the door burst open and Lila saw her worst nightmare walking into the room.
Angela was an older version of Lila, thin with golden blonde hair that was slowly turning white. But she had dark brown, almost black eyes. Her face looked like it was set in a permanent scowl as she stood at the end of the hospital bed and crossed her arms.
"So you're still alive, huh?"
Lila's father didn't even react. He just blinked and stared at her.
Hongjoong on the other hand clenched his fists. "Can I help you?" He said through gritted teeth.
Angela glared at him. "Yes, I am here to see my husband. Can I help YOU?" She snapped.
"Yeah, you can leave! I don't need you stressing out my patient."
"It's ok, Joong." Lila's father rasped, holding up a hand.
Hongjoong turned to him, his face softening immediately.
"You can leave now." Angela snapped her fingers three times.
It took everything Lila had not to step out of the closet and slap her mother... But she knew she would freeze up once her mother captured her under her harsh stare.
At a nod from Lila's father, Hongjoong reluctantly left the room, shooting a quick glance in Lila's direction as he went.
"Well, Remington, I'm surprised you can still afford this place." Angela looked around in contempt. "Is there even any money left?"
"That's none of your business."
"Like hell it is! I am your wife!"
Lila's heart skipped several beats when her father tried to laugh and then had to turn to cover his coughing. It sounded worse than before so she knew he was stressing out right now.
"Only on paper. Did you come to finish the job?" He asked, turning back to give her a cold stare.
Angela bristled and straightened up. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Yes you do. There wouldn't be any point though. There's no money, you're right. So you might as well leave now."
"You are such a liar. There has to be some somewhere. You have it set aside for her, don't you?" The sneer and accusation was laced all throughout Angela's words.
Lila had to cover her mouth to try and muffle her ragged breathing. What was her mom talking about? She was making it sound like her dad had money tucked away somewhere, but that couldn't be true. There were nicer rooms in this hospital he could be paying for.
Angela had to be delusional.
"You don't even deserve to mention her." Her father said. "Not after how I know you treated her. Lila is the only good thing that came out of... That piss poor thing called our marriage... And I thank God every day that she didn't take after you."
Angela laughed. An awful, drawn out cackle that had Lila trembling in the closet. It brought back all of the memories of her mom beating her and calling her worthless.
"Get out."
"You can't hide the money from me. I will get it from you, one way or another." Angela said, still laughing as she left the room.
Lila counted to ten before she stepped out of the closet and hurried to her father's side. "Dad..."
He started to speak, but hand to turn away once more. He coughed for almost five minutes before he finally calmed down, his eyelids fluttered. "Don't you pay her no mind, sweetheart." He said weakly.
Lila sat next to him and held his hand again, wishing she could find the words to say just how much she loved him. And how much she regretted not being here...
And how much she didn't want to lose him...

San followed Yeosang into the hotel and ran immediately for the stairwell. They had determined he had to be in one of them based on the echoing of his cries.
He was going to kill Rachel.
For Wooyoung to be this upset over something... She had to have done something awful.
They ran up several fights of stairs before they finally found him.
He was curled up in the corner with his head hidden in his arms and his knees pulled up to his chest.
"Youngie?" Yeosang asked, kneeling next to him.
The younger raised his head, revealing swollen eyes and tear stained cheeks. As soon as he saw the couple, a fresh wave came, however, and he reached out for Yeosang.
"I've got you." Yeosang pulled Wooyoung to him immediately and tucked the younger's head under his chin.
San sat on the step next to them and held Wooyoung's hand.
They sat there for several long minutes, waiting for Wooyoung to try and calm down. When he finally did, he still stayed tucked into Yeosang, but looked at San.
"What happened." He asked gently, scooting a little closer.
Wooyoung swallowed. "She... She..." He started to shake again.
Yeosang shushed him quietly and tightened his grip. "It's ok, take your time."
San watched as Wooyoung struggled to find his words. His face kept scrunching up in pain and strangled sounds came from his throat.
Then he started to pull up his shirt.
What San saw there made him sick. Almost literally... He stared, appalled, at the hickies littering Wooyoung's stomach.
Yeosang made Wooyoung lower his shirt and closed his eyes as well. San could see him fighting to stay calm as his lower lip trembled.
San was mad though. "That bitch! That's it, I'm going to kill her. What room? I'm going there right now an-"
"San, that's not going to fix anything." Yeosang said as he ran his hand through Wooyoung's hair. "There's no way Youngie willingly went with her. I think we should get you to the police station to file a report." He added, looking down at the younger.
"Yeah, let's do that. We need to go now." San said, knowing that if there was anything in his system they were on a time limit.
Wooyoung whimpered as Yeosang shifted him to lift him off the ground, but the older didn't complain or try to put him down.
When they got to the lobby, San poked his head out to make sure the coast was clear. Thankfully there weren't a lot of people in the lobby and they were able to slip out unnoticed.
Having Wooyoung and Yeosang seen like this the night after the press premier would ruin their careers...
San grabbed the keys from his boyfriend's pocket and got him the driver's seat while the other two got in the back.
His mind was racing with all the things that could happen now. At the forefront of it was Lila... She was going to be devastated... But he prayed she would stay in a good enough mindset to let Wooyoung tell his side of the story. None of this was his fault.
No, he had faith that Lila would listen. She had to.
They weren't far away from the nearest police station, so when the once again determined that the coast was clear, they ducked inside.

Wooyoung couldn't shake the nausea that had been with him ever since Yeosang had lifted him off the floor. And now that he was in the police station, it just got worse.
An officer walked up to them, an eyebrow arched, and said, "Can I help you gentlemen?"
"Yes. My friend... We believe my friend was raped last night, and drugged..."
The officer's eyes widened and he cleared his throat. "Well, come with me and we will get a file started." He said, his voice adopting a gentler tone.
Wooyoung nodded and followed after the man, taking Yeosang's hand as he went. He was so thankful his friend had been able to come and find him... He had no idea what he would have done if he was on his own.
"I'm Officer Barnes, let's go in here and we will get started. I'll be in in just a second, I need to call for a drug test kit."
San held the door open and the three of them got situated at the table in the middle of the room.
They waited for the officer to get settled and get all of his paper work spread out. "Now, let's start with the easy stuff. What is your name son?"
"Jun-" Wooyoung cleared his scratchy throat and cringed. "Jung Wooyoung."
"Alright, may I call you Wooyoung?" He got a nod. "Ok, just a few other things and I'll take your statements."
Officer Barnes asked for their names, ages, addresses, and phone numbers. As soon as he found out that Wooyoung and Yeosang were actors, he called Roger to get him down here.
Wooyoung wasn't sure he could face his manager right now, but he needed someone here...
"Now tell me what you can remember. And take your time."
Yeosang and San took his hands to lend their strength as he took a deep breath. "We had a press premier for our movie last night, and everything was fine. I remember the photos, the movie, the dinner. But then at one point things started getting fuzzy."
"When? Try to think of the exact moment and what you were doing before hand. Go over everything minute by minute." The officer said, taking notes furiously.
"I remember getting a little something to eat, but not really wanting to be there. My girlfriend is in Wyoming with her sick father, so I remember wanting to be with her rather than be at the premier... Then R... Rachel came over, already tipsy and said that our director was going to make a toast. Once that was over, I downed the drink in one go, not wanting to deal with her. I mingled a little more..." Wooyoung stopped and stared at the table. "That's when I started to feel off... Oh my god... she spiked my drink..."
Officer Barnes sighed and and set down his pen. "Why would Rachel want to drug you?"
"Because she's worse than the devil herself." San snarled.
"Babe, not now." Yeosang scolded, making the younger huff and glare at the wall.
"She's... She's been interested in me for awhile now. Ever since our first film together. We kind of had a thing but it was never anything serious."
"And she doesn't know about your girlfriend?"
"Hardly anyone does... Roger asked me to keep it a secret until after this film premiered so it didn't threaten the sales for the movie, or my own reputation. Not that Lila would do that, but she was ok with hiding our relationship. San and Yeosang know, she's San's best friend, so that's how we met."
"But Rachel didn't know about her?"
Wooyoung shuddered. "She said she knows how Lila is now. There was one point where I think she saw Lila's name on my phone, so I wouldn't be surprised if she started doing research."
"She could also be bluffing." Yeosang said quietly. "But I think we should prepare for the worst case scenario."
Officer Barnes nodded along with them, still taking notes. "Ok, so at the party you felt off, then what happened?"
"I don't remember anything else from last night, but this morning..." Wooyoung took a deep breath to try and keep his voice under control as his chest started to tighten. "I woke up in a hotel room... n... with no clothes... and..." He fiddled with the hem of his shirt.
Yeosang placed a hand on the back of his neck and squeezed gently. Then he took charged and lifted up the younger's shirt.
Even the officer couldn't hide his shock as he exhaled sharply.
"She said that I wanted to do it... That I came on to her last night and wanted to be with her... But I would never do that. I know I wouldn't..." The tears came again and he leaned forward to bury his face in his hands. He would never... He despised Rachel... He could never do that to Lila...
Yeosang pulled him into his chest and let him cry.
Officer Barnes was very patient while Wooyoung got his emotions out. He heard him asking a few questions to San, but it was all fuzzy now.
"Youngie?" San said after a bit, shaking him gently. "They are here to run the test."
He looked up to see a younger man with a concerned look on his face staring at him. "I know this isn't easy, but the sooner we get this done the better."
Wooyoung just nodded and followed him to a small, single person bathroom. He was walked through taking the test and was told it could take some time to get the results back, sometimes a few weeks depending on how many tests are run.
He sat in his seat again to wait for the next step, despising this entire situation and feeling so incredibly lost and worried...
