Thane's dead body lays under a pile of rubble, under the sea, but his soul would not leave his body.

It couldn't.

And as the Death Jackals arrived to try and give the soul, they were unable to move the soul, but how could they?

Azrei's blessing allows Thane's soul to exit his body, which allows him to communicate with the dead. To do this, a chain was made that tethered the soul to the body. But this chain which was supposed to break when he died, was reinforced several times over with the other god's power.

This temporary power made Thane immortal.

Judor believed that the god-killing blade could still kill him, but what he failed to realize, was that his math was wrong.

"Judor....!"

The Blade had Death, Life, Knowledge, Nature, Space, Time, and Law.

But Thane had an extra one...

Chaos.

Thane's body decayed once he regained his barrings.

The ash of Thane's material body followed his soul to the shore of the beach, his scythe slithered out and followed thanks to its rubber-like ability.

Thane reformed, filled with rage and a scar where the blade was shoved into.

Thane:(panting) Judor.... JUDOR!!!

Thane:(panting) I need to get back to the castle...

He looked around to see the dead Jackals surrounding him.

Thane: Bring me Anubis!

Using the Death Jackal's ability to travel anywhere to get souls, Thane decayed to ash and allowed Anubis, the new king of the Jackals to carry him to the castle's front entrance where they were unable to bring him any closer.

But the battle between the Champions and the revivified J.J caught his attention. And in his blood rage, he saw the god's weapons.

(WOOSH)

He threw his soul through all the Champions, possessing all their bodies and ending the fight.

Lilly: Th-Thane!? Where the hell... What the hell are you... Ugh!

Ending J.J again, he stole Henrietta's axe of Space, then freed the Champions. Possing the castle, Thane entered and left the others behind, he couldn't be bothered with them.

His Scythe wrapped and pierced his body, becoming one with it as per his usual technique. And with an axe in hand, he made his way to Cronas's room where he stole the blade of Time.

Attaching it to his belt, he then drew it out of its sheath and cut open a hole to Judor.

Thane: JUDOR!!!

Judor:!?

With Time slowed Thane was now on a more equal playing field with the God who received a wack with the axe of Space.

Before Judor could mock Thane for thinking that the weapon had the power to harm him, the entire room shifted, and because the basement with a void.

Judor: Tch!

Averting his gaze from the void, Judor swung at Thane who decayed his body around the attack and landed to immediately bounce upward thanks to his scythe's shaft coiled around his leg like a spring.

(BOING)

Judor: You wish to challenge a God!?

Thane stood on the ceiling and glared down at Judor.

Thane: Challenge? I'm here to kill you!

Bouncing toward Judor, Thane uses his control over the castle to create several walls that obstruct everyone's vision of him whilst also attacking Judor who easily smashed through the walls.

(CRASH)

Judor was smart enough to realize Thane did this to surprise him with a portal from the Axe of Space. Likely placing the portal behind him.

Spinning around, Judor swung the Blade of Chaos, to find Thane behind him the axe facing himself and the Blade of Time prepared to be sheathed.

He ripped open a portal right in front of himself, as he sheathed the blade, for a moment to speed up Judor's swing.

(SWOOOSH)

Judor stared with horror as he saw the arm he held the blade of chaos get chopped off by the very blade he held.

How?

The portal Thane opened right in front of himself led right to Judor's arm, which the God of Law couldn't help but continue his swing at, thanks to Thane himself sheathing the blade of time which messed with his perception of speed.

Thane immediately drew the Blade of Time while also elongating the room to get Judor as far away from the Blade of Chaos as he could.

Judor: You little defect! You dare!??

For a moment he ignored the blade and raced toward Thane, who flashed his void-stained eyes which immediately made the God glance away.

Creating a portal, Thane attempted to escape, but the God of Law and Chaos was still on his tail and managed to rip the sheath to the blade of Time off of Thane's belt.

Thane: Huh?

The blade itself flew out of his hand and returned to its sheath.

Thane: Hmph!

He shut the portal before time could return to its normal pace.

Thane continued to lengthen the room to separate Judor from his arm and blade, but the champion, seeing how fast the god was catching up Thane prepared to end it.

But before he knew it, the other gods were also racing for the blade.

Sciron and Cronas tried stopping Judor directly as the others raced to get it. Judor however was like an unstoppable force and he was able to push through the two gods outrun the others and grab his arm which quickly turned to dust.

Without warning, copies of his arm and blade riddled the whole area. For a few moments, they tried to figure out which one was the real one, until they realized they should target Thane.

With one of the many blade copies, Thane leaps through a portal, and Judor tackles him through. He closes the portal and smacks away the axe of Space to prevent Thane from using it any further.

Judor: This game ends here!

Thane: Does it?

He throws the blade he hands like a spear at Judor who catches it, at the cost of letting Thane escape via his Scythe which unravels off most of his body, say for his arm, and hooks onto a moving piece of the room that carried him away.

(Shatter)

Judor: Huh?

The blade in his hand shattered. Another fake.

Infuriate several times over, Judor chases after Thane, who begins to mock the god.

Thane: I've played you a few times now. Perhaps they should call you the God of Fools...

Thane: The god of stupidity? Or The God who was outwitted by a man?

Judor: Hehehehehe! Enjoy this moment while you can... Because once I get my blade back, I know exactly what to do to allow it to kill you!

Thane: I guess it doesn't matter does it... No one is going to remember you after this.

Thane: I'LL MAKE SURE OF IT!!!

Judor leaps and punches Thane with all his might.

(SHATTER)

But even that, was another fake.

Judor: Slippery little bastard!!

He turns around to find Thane in the air, swinging his Scythe across the air horizontally.

He hits nothing, but at the end of the arc, the blade stretches out and curves around Judor who suspects the blade is behind him and that he's using the blade of his scythe to hit the butt of the blade of chaos to stab him.

And he was absolutely right, yet again.

But yet again, he failed to see the chaos within Thane who had much more planned.

Judor turned around to see the void, he turned around to continue to see nothing but the void everywhere he looked.

Judor: Damn brat! I see now... You wish to lock my gaze with these-

(SHUNK)

Blade of Chaos was shoved straight into Judor's heart.

Thane: I just wanted to distract you.

The room shattered to reveal the two to be in the void room, Judor feeling weak, collapsed to the floor. The Champion of Death approached, eyes stained with the void, seemingly hollow and infinitely deep.

Judor: You-

Thane grabbed the blade and began to twist it.

Judor: AGH!!

Pulling the blade out, Thane stood over Judor, with everything he needed to kill him.

Judor: You wouldn't dare...

Thane:..... What is it like?

Judor: Huh?

Thane: To know you're going to die?

Judor:!?

Thane: I'm honestly curious. Are you afraid? Are you horrified?

Thane: Because I don't know fear, she's never greeted me... Rage, however...

Thane: She won't leave me alone as long as you live!

Judor: No, no, no-!!

Thane begins to stab Judor again and again, making him suffer. And through the screams of Judor, the other gods found Thane mercilessly killing Judor.

Gods: NO!

Azrei: THANE, STOP!!

Thane: RAAAAH!

Though they tried to stop him, it was too late, Thane killed Judor, in front of the Void, where Law and Chaos were sucked in, denying the others from taking it for themselves.

Thane:(panting)...

He turned towards the other gods, only Azrei didn't flinch at the sight of him and his wrath.

Thane:.... You all...

It seemed Thane was about to slaughter the other gods as well since he knew they had been mistreating Azrei, but the Goddess of Death herself intervened and embraced Thane.

This calmed him and made him drop the blade. His soul returned to his body and the exhaustion took over.

With the threat gone, the other Gods began to look utterly defeated.

Jorey: Lilly!

She attempted to run towards her daughter, but no matter how hard she tried to move her legs, she didn't move an inch.

Jorey:(crying) No! Noooo! I want to say goodbye! Let me say goodbye!!

Thane: Huh?

Azrei: Judor and Cardsha were the first gods... But they couldn't get along...

Azrei: So Judor used his power to give form to the rest of us...

Thane then noticed the threads of law on all the gods, fade away, and their own threads began to unravel.

Azrei: We are but concepts and forces, condensed into a form that allows us thoughts and feelings.

Thane: I... I... Killed you...

Azrei: You've "freed" us from our physical form.

Thane: I didn't know...

Sciron fades away.

Thane: You're a god, can't you-

Azrei: Let's just enjoy these few seconds...

Cronas fades away.

Thane: My Lady... Azrei... I'm sorry...! I just wanted to protect you!

Azrei:(smiles) I know. And it meant more than you can ever know.

Journoy fades away.

Thane: I'll end it... My life... And join you in-

Azrei: The Blessings of Eight Gods can only be undone by Eight Gods.

Azrei: And you killed the forces of two of those Gods...

Thane: S-So... There's no way I can ever be with you...?

Giara fades away.

Azrei: I'm sorry...

Thane: For what...?

Azrei: For everything that comes after this... You'll never know...

Thane: No! I'll fix this! If you can be given physical form once... It can be done again!

Azrei:....

Thane: We'll meet again! I swear, I'll make it happen!

Azrei:... I'll be waiting...

Jorey: LILLY-

Azrei: I-

Azrei and Jorey fade away as Thane trembles with sorrow.

Thane:Ah..AhhAHHHHHHHH!!?

(Outside...)

The remaining champions could feel it. Their Gods were gone. The sunshine they brought, the warmth and safety their existence gave was swept away

Everything seemed much bleaker, and without color now.

The doors to the castle opened and Thane, defeated, walked out.

Lilly: What happened....?

Thane:.... I killed Judor. And in turn... All the Gods.

Champions:?!!

Lilly: What the hell do you mean-

Thane: They're gone. All of them!

Thane: This world is godless...

Thane:....

Thane: Except for you...

Slowly, he steps past the Champions. Lilly immediately spins him around, both raise a fist ready to punch each other.

Thane: Don't push me, Goddess!

Lilly: Don't call me that, you defective shithead! And explain yourself!

Thane: I already told you everything.

Lilly: I want details!

Thane: They won't change anything...

(BAM)

She knocks him to the ground.

Lilly: I didn't ask if they would change anything. I asked for the details!!

Thane:...

He got up and punched Lilly into the ground.

Lilly: OOOF!

Thane:(dusts himself off)

Thane:....

Thane: She wanted to say goodbye.

Lilly:!

She then rushed into the castle. Followed by the rest of the Champions as Thane disappeared into the horizon.
