2000 years have passed since all the Gods died.

But the realm was not left Godless.

Lilly eventually became known as a goddess, and quickly united everyone under one kingdom which was under her own rule. The other champions mostly retired, but not after hunting down Thane and imprisoning him in the old castle of the Gods which lies buried underground, after collapsing into the volcano it sat upon.

With the weapons of the Champions, Lilly would create new sets of Champions whenever the need arose.

Peace was eventually achieved, but it would then fade.

Lilly's daughter, Rose, and her assigned trusty knight Clive, were given a chance to escape, but instead, the daughter took this opportunity to go to the old forgotten castle of the Gods.

A new secret location her mother told her about to go to only in the worst of situations.

Leading her knight to a cave the two entered to eventually find a set of large doors.

"My lady, we should have fled to the Southern City" Clive sounded off, worried they had made a mistake.

But Rose scoffed "That's what they would expect me to do." she explained. "No one knows of this place, but me and my mother. And she told me to come here in case of the worst."

"And what's worse than this?" she said with a smile that hid both her worry and curiosity.

Dragging Clive over to the door, she raised her hand to knock.

(Knock, knock-)

Before she could knock a third time, the mighty doors creaked open, Clive expected this place had been compromised, so he took point and entered. Rose follows behind.

They didn't know it, but the layout was completely different from what it once was.

Once a castle, was now more akin to the layout of a mansion.

With a large opening after the doors that had doors leading all over, and two sets of stairs that curved up to the second floor.

However, what was odd, was instead of a chandelier the room had an iron maiden hanging from the ceiling.

A snap of the fingers echoed before it was deafened by the loud slam of the two doors behind the duo.

The iron maiden creaked open to reveal it to be empty and filled with dry blood.

Rose and Clive looked around until they noticed a man in black robes standing behind them. Before they could say anything, the man punched Rose across the face.

(Wha-Bam)

Rose falls to the floor with a bloody nose shouting "What the hell!?"

"Huh? Wait... You aren't Lilly... Whoops." Thane muttered as he punched Clive who was about to attack him.

(Wha-Bam)

"Agh!"

Thane leaves the two on the floor with bloody noses.

"W-Wait! I need your help!" Rose shouts out to the Champion of Death who stops and glances at the quarter goddess with void-stained eyes.

"You can't afford my help."

She averted his gaze and shouted "I'm The daughter of the Goddess! There isn't a thing I couldn't give you!"

"I don't mean you don't have the wealth. I mean you cannot afford to give me what I want."

"Stop being cryptic, and tell me!"

With a wicked grin, the Champion of Death revealed what he wanted.

"The souls of your bloodline"

"Alright!" she gives him a thumbs up.

Thane snaps his fingers and light returns to the interior.
