Thane and Medina were jogging towards their Goddess's room with a furious Jorey behind them. She walked, yet was always at arm's length behind the two.

Thane: I ran out of the room to quickly get out of your hair. Just so you know-

Having enough, Jorey grabs Thane by the face and Medina by her tail. And in what felt like an instant, the two were in front of Azrei's door.

Jorey: You dare lie in the face of a god?!

Thane:(muffled) You're a lot meaner than my original impression.

Kicking open her sister's door, Death's champion and pet are thrown at her. Azrei catches the two and places them on the floor.

Azrei: After years of convincing me to get a champion. I would have thought you'd be more gentle with them.

Jorey: Explain why those two fell from the ceiling of my room!

Azrei: Thane...?

Goddess and Champion locked eyes. Both momentarily got lost before they turned away.

Thane: As I at least attempted to explain... I accidentally got inside the tunnels of the castle.

Thane: It tried showing me some room which Medina here managed to save me from.

Thane: Then as we were looking for a way out, the floor beneath us gave out and we fell through into Jorey's room.

Thane: We immediately apologized and left but as you can see... She's still mad.

Azrei: I see. It was an accident.

Azrei: Let's move on from this.

Jorey: Not until I know for sure he's telling the truth...

She approaches Thane who doesn't flinch when the goddess reaches out her hand. Azrei steps in and stops her sister.

Azrei: Not so fast. He has sensitive information in him, that I do not want YOU to know.

Azrei: After all these eons. What guarantee do I have that this all isn't just another one of your foolish games to get something from me?

There is a sudden pressure in the room, a tangible pressure that makes Medina fall to her knees. Thane, though with great effort, stands, however, he gets lost in "playing" with this pressure.

Lilly: There is no need for you two to fight. That's what we champions are for.

The pressure fades away, as the Champion Of Life enters the goddess's room. Making her way to Thane, Lilly slams her spear against the floor.

Lilly: We will fight in your stead.

Jorey: Lilly...

Azrei: If my champion defeats yours. You'll drop the matter.

Jorey: Hmph! If my champion wins, I'll see what he learned. And punish him accordingly!

Jorey: Tomorrow. They shall fight a fair battle.

Jorey: Lilly, let's go.

Jorey and Lilly walk out of the room. As Azrei shuts the door, Medina begs for forgiveness.

Medina: Apologies my lady.... This is all our fault!

Thane:(shrugs) I personally blame the castle.

The two explain their side of the story, including how Lilly and Jorey have some type of mother-daughter relationship.

This reveal left Azrei deep in thought.

Thane: Is Lilly being Jorey's daughter a big deal?

Medina: She created another God... So yes. It IS a big deal.

Azrei: There is still the potential she adopted her...

Azrei: Is there nothing else?

Thane: I saw Giara and Judor boning.

Thane: Do all gods turn into blobs of light when getting down and dirty?

Azrei: That's a fetish. Not a neccery act.

Thane: Hmmm...

Thane:(looks at Medina) What do you think it's like?

Medina: I wouldn't know.

Thane: Right.... Because you only do doggy, right?

Medina: Focus, snack pack. The lady desires answers.

Thane: I checked on all the gods. None of them gave me any vibes of being the one who contacted me.

Azrei: Hiding their identity from you would not be hard. However, what you've learned has shown us there is at least one more person capable of the act.

Medina: The Champion of Life?

Azrei: If she isn't adopted. Then potentially yes.

Azrei: But for now... There's something I must finish. Thane, rest and prepare yourself for tomorrow.

Azrei: Lilly is a seasoned fighter. I'm frankly concerned about your ability to survive.

Thane: I have your blessing. I'll be fine.

Azrei: My blessing is the only reason why I believe you'll survive a few minutes.

Medina: Do you even know how to fight?

Thane: I defeated that necromancer possessing a giant skeleton. Give me some credit.

Medina: I mean, do you know how to fight another person?

Medina: Fighting something big with no armor or meat is impressive.

Medina: But fighting someone just as fast, with armor. Not to mention a godly weapon...

Thane:(shrugs)

Thane: I don't know what the big deal is. I've beaten up ladies, gentlemen, and children.

Thane: She might be tough, but I'll get through it.

He leaves to go get something to eat.

Medina:.......

Azrei: His lack of fear is both a blessing and a curse.

Azrei: He'll go up against any opponent. But is incapable of taking one enemy more seriously than another.

Medina: How'll he win this fight?

Azrei: Only with my support. Go back to your guard position. I have work to do.

Medina: As you wish, my lady...

Thane made his way to the dining room, where food was always fresh and ready for the champions of the gods.

He was not there alone, however. Lilly, the sister champion to Thane was there as well, getting herself some food, having the same idea as Thane.

Thane: Oh, hey.

Despite their situation, Thane was casual towards his opponent. Lilly's grim glare gave away her true feelings on the subject. Nevertheless, Thane took a plate and stacked his snacks on it.

Lilly: Just between us... You know, don't you?

Thane: Know what?

Lilly: Don't play dumb.

Lilly: One does not simply find themselves in the walls of this Castle.

Lilly: Azrei put you up to this. Why? This is a new behavior from her.

Thane: I'll tell you my secrets if you tell me yours.

Lilly: Afraid to tell the truth?

Thane: I don't know fear. I do know some common sense.

Lilly:....

Thane: What's this purple paste? Better try it...

Thane:(sips)... Candle wax...(shrugs). Had worse.

Lilly: You want me to tell the truth? Fine...

Lilly: Nothing pisses me off more than someone who invades my privacy and my Lady's...

Lilly: What you did, accident or not was practically sacrilegious.

Lilly: But you don't care.

Lilly: Or should I say, unable to fear the gravity of the situation.

Thane:(eats apple slice)

Lilly: I'm going to kill you tomorrow.

Lilly: And the worst part is I won't be able to enjoy it that much since you're a freak...

Lilly: A freak whose eyes won't be filled with the fear of their life ending as I watch said life drain from their skin...

Lilly: You and Azrei deserve each other honestly...

Thane calmly puts his plate down. And looks over at Lilly. The Champion of Life wanted a reaction from the Champion of Death, and she succeeded.

Thane: Describe Fear.

Lilly:?

Thane: That's my favorite thing to ask people to do. "Describe fear".

Thane: It's hard, right? Like describing color to a blind person.

Thane: But honestly, try...

He showed a big innocent smile to Lilly.

Thane:(smiles) Describe the reason why you can't hug your mother in public.

Lilly: Tch!

Thane: Tell me, what does the idea of me going into the city and telling the world your big secret do to you?

Thane: What does the thought of the other gods knowing your secret do to you emotionally?

Lilly: You bastard...

All emotion faded from Thane's face.

Thane: I thought I was a freak?

The two, with heavy steps, approached each other. Malice was in the air, and if there wasn't a fight planned for tomorrow, there would have been one right this second.

Lilly: You are a freak! Jorey is too prideful to admit it, but I'm not!

Lilly: You're defective! And if this was the era before civilization, you would have died by now!

Thane: First Azrei... Then Jorey... You seem to enjoy heckling the gods...

Thane: It's almost as if you think you're one of them... As if you aren't beneath them like everyone else.

Lilly: You know why, don't you!?

Thane: All I know is you were made when your mommy was trying out a new kink.

They grab each other by the scruff of their shirts.

Lilly: You might not feel fear, but you WILL feel pain like never before.

Thane: Just remember, there's no need to be scared...

Thane: Because you'll always have your mommy's teat to suckle whenever things get tough, right?

With a flick of his wrist, Thane gently slaps the bottom of Lilly's jaw before pushing her away.

They grabbed their food and parted ways to face each other tomorrow.

Lilly:(mind) The Secret dies with you.

Thane:(mind) Making fun of me is one thing... Disrespecting Azrei will be what sends you crying to Jorey!
