PROLOGUE

Hala Alasid was very well known amongst the world of motorsport.

She was a Formula One driver who whilst being friends with most of her fellow drivers, was labelled as mean, rude and a bully by the media, but it didn't bother her.

All she wanted to do was to win a championship and use her platform to speak out against powerful men who abused their powers no matter who they were.

She had her best friends on the grid, she had the ones who supported her causes and backed her, but she also had one person who she just never spoke to.

It wasn't really intentional, she just hadn't felt the need to talk to him and over time she felt like the more that she didn't need to talk to him, then the more that he didn't want to talk to her.

It seemed that she had upset and offended Lando Norris, without meaning to.

Lando didn't know what was wrong with her and why she didn't talk to him, and their mutual friends never spoke bad about her so he was kinda stuck as to wondering why she avoided him like the plague.

She had crashed in to him a few times in her hunger for a championship, taken him out of races too, even nearly made him lose his seat in Formula One all together, and yet she had only ever uttered five words to him.

Eventually, he gave up trying to get her to speak to him, deciding that if she was going to hate him then he was going to return the favor and hate her, but that caused so much more drama than he ever intended.

She hit him and he crashed out of his home race, which he thought was deliberately done, so he crashed in to her which made her car hit a wall at incredibly high speed, making her car become engulfed in flames.

Then when he heard her screaming his name desperately, screaming to him to help her, he realised how big of a mistake he had made.

All he had to do was to save her life in order to tell her that.
