First of all, Katie and I would like to THANK each of you for supporting our Avi/Tim stories. We took a chance starting "Ring Of Fire" cause no one had ever shipped Avi Kaplan and Tim Foust. But both of us, being huge fans of both basses, decided to give it a shot.

 After the success of "Ring Of Fire", we decided to go for it again. And so "Champagne Taste" was created. And it too has been quite a success. So again a big THANK-YOU!!!

Farmer Johnson had hired Tim, Austin, Adam and Chris to haul hay for him. Tim was glad. Buying that promise ring for Avi took every dime that he had. He was broke flat.

He tied a bandanna around his head as Adam and Austin climbed up on the trailer. He and Chris would be throwing the bails of hay onto the trailer while Adam and Austin would stack it. Another worker would be driving the tractor that pulled the trailer. It was a very hard and tiring job. And very hot.

They finally took a break and all sat down on the trailer. Tim pulls off his gloves and rubs his aching hands.

"So how are you doing?" Chris ask, handing him a bottle of water. "You've been awfully quiet."

"Oh, I'm alright I guess. I talked to Avi for a long time last night. He said to tell y'all hi. I just miss him, you know? I just wish he'd come back to me." Tim said looking out across the field. Trying to swallow down the large lump in his throat.

"Don't worry about it Timmy. He'll be back." Austin said.

"You don't know that for sure, Austin. He's back with the things he grew up with. The things he's familiar with. He was like a fish out of water here." Tim said looking down at his callused hands.

"Because he's in love with you. That's what is gonna bring him back." Austin said.

"Plus, he was having the time of his life here. The look on his face when he caught his first fish, or the first time he swung out on the rope. And Oh My God, let's not forget the first time he rode the bull. That was priceless. I guarantee you, those moments has been going through his mind over and over. And you were right by his side the whole time." Adam said.

Tim chuckles, "Him on that bull was pretty funny though. But he did it. You would have thought he had won a gold medal or something. He was so proud of himself. And I was proud of him. And then when he caught that big catfish then wouldn't touch it and I had to take it off the hook for him." Tim smiles, a tear slowly rolling down his cheek.

"Y'all should have seen his face when he first looked out across the mountains. You would have thought he had seen the gates of Heaven. I miss him so much. I miss holding him, kissing him, touching him." He wipes his eyes then whispers. "Making love to him. I feel like I did something wrong or that I didn't do enough to make him wanna stay."

"Tim, this is a decision that Avi has to make himself. He's lived his entire life in the big city. BUT he fell madly in love with you, Cowboy. And I think that love is stronger enough to bring him back to you." Chris said rubbing him on the back.

"Yep, one of these days you're gonna be out here working and you're gonna look up at that gate yonder and your gonna see that red Jaguar sitting there." Austin said putting his arm around Tim.

Tim chuckles putting his gloves back on, "You know, I never even got a chance to ride in it."

"Ah, you'll get your chance." Austin said patting him on the leg. "Let's get to work, this hay ain't haulin' it self."
