18 | RESURRECTION

It was Ser Davos Seaworth and a few of Jon's friends who found Reyanna sobbing over Jon's dead body. "Help me get them inside." Davos knew Reyanna wasn't moving unless Jon's body was going to move with her as well, so he instructed the other men to pick her up and take her inside a room with Jon's body.

They carefully laid Jon's body on a table in the middle of the room. Reyanna stood next to him, in disbelief that he was truly dead. They had just been speaking of marriage and love. He had only been outside for a couple of minutes. And just like that, he was murdered. She ran her hand over his wounded abdomen, noting they were stab wounds. Her mind had to still process that he was dead. Because she was certainly in denial about it.

The men allowed her to soak it all in before sobbing all over again. She used her fingers to close his brown eyes. They were creepily lingering on her and she was realizing that those eyes were no longer Jon's. "Thorne did this." Jon's friend, Edd, growled out.

Reyanna gritted her teeth. "I'm going to kill him." Reyanna hissed as she wiped away her streaming tears. Her jaw clenched as she imagined the hundreds of ways she could make Alisser pay for what he had done to Jon. She even considered killing Olly, too.

"How many of the brothers do you think you can trust?" Davos asked Edd.

"Trust? The men and woman in this room." Edd spat back at Davos.

"Does the wolf know you?" Davos asked Edd.

Edd shook his head. "No, but it knows her. And she has her own." Edd recalled Amira, who had grown much larger than ghost. She was certainly a force to be reckoned with.

"We need all the help we can get." Davos mentioned. Then, there was a sudden knock at the door. Everyone in the room whipped out their swords and readied themselves to attack any enemy.

"Ser Davos." The soft voice of Melisandre spoke up through the door.

Edd opened it he door and allowed her in. She eyed the situation and noticed the sad corpse sprawled out on the table. Edd took the opportunity to go fetch Ghost and Amira. Melisandre looked sadly up at Reyanna, sending her condolences silently.

"I saw him in the flames fighting at Winterfell." Melisandre whispered.

"I can't speak for the flames, but he's gone." Davos's words stung at Reyanna's heart. She would do anything to get him back. Even if that meant turning him into a white walker just to see him breathe again. Melisandre touched his pale face to make sure that he was dead.

"You're a witch aren't you?" Reyanna croaked out.

"A Red Priestess." She corrected.

"But you can perform miracles?" Reyanna interrogated the woman.

"Well—"
"Can you help him?"
"Rey—"
"Please!"

Reyanna shouted. Her eyes wide and desperate. "Those fuckers butchered him. Like a pig." Reyanna sighed. Just then, Edd returned with Ghost and Amira.

Ghost whimpered once he saw the lifeless Jon. Amira instantly sat beside Reyanna's feet. "We must return the favor." Reyanna growled.

She knew Amira could rip through a dozen of men's throats, easily. And she herself could go through more with all the rage she had from losing Jon. His death was once a grieving and devastating thing for her, but as she transitioned through the stages of grief, she know used it as a motive to wage war. "We don't have the numbers." Davos mumbled.

"We have two direwolves." Edd told.

"It's not enough. I didn't know Lord Commander Snow for long, but I have to believe he wouldn't have wanted his friends to die for nothing." Davos explained.

"Well, he's not here anymore." Reyanna mumbled.

"If you were planning to see tomorrow, you picked the wrong room. We all die today. I say we do our best to take Thorne with us when we go." Edd spoke.

"We need to fight, but we don't need to die. Not if we have help." Davos mentioned.

"Who's gonna help us?" Green asked.

"You're not the only ones who owe your lives to Jon Snow." Davos snarked.

Reyanna looked up in realization. "The wildlings." She stated.

"Bolt the door. Don't let anyone in. I'll be back as soon as I can." Edd spoke as he rushed out of the room.

For days, the hatred of Thorne and the sadness for Jon consumed Reyanna. She laid by his rotting body, not letting the other men lay him to rest or touch him. She laid by his side, clutching his cold arm. He didn't eat. She didn't sleep. Amira kept by her side, making sure no one would try to pry her away from Jon's corpse.

There was a knock on the door. Reyanna instantly knew it wasn't Edd. Even Ghost and Amira began growling and showing off their sharp teeth to the door in case it were to be opened. "Ser Davos, we have no cause to fight. We are both anointed knights." Alisser's wretched voice sounded. Reyanna didn't move from laying next to Jon. If Thorne had the balls to come in and attack her, she'd easily slice his throat.

"Hear that, lads? Nothing to fear." Ser Davos's voices dripped with venomous sarcasm.

I will grand amnesty to all brothers who throw down their arms before nightfall. And you, Ser Davos, I will allow you to travel south a free man with a fresh horse." Alisser proposed.

"And some mutton. I'd like some mutton." Davos kid.

"What?" Thorne grunted.

"I'm not much of a hunter. I'll need some food if I'm gonna make it south without starving." Davos told.

"We'll give you food. You can bring the Red Woman with you if you like. Or you can leave her here with us, whichever you choose." Thorne agreed.

"And Reyanna?" Davos sighed.

There was silence. "I cannot let her go without justly punishing her for her conspiracies against Castle Black. Surrender by nightfall or this ends with blood." Thorne told.

"Thank you, Ser Alliser. We'll discuss amongst ourselves and come back to you with an answer." Davos stated.

The footsteps of Thorne could be heard trailing away from the door. "Boys, I've been running from men like that all my life. In my learned opinion, we open that door—" Davos began.

"And they'll slaughter us all." Pypar finished for Davos. They all knew.

"They want to come in. They're gonna come in." Green informed.

"Aye, but we don't need to make it easy for them." Davos told.

"Edd is our only chance." Grenn mentioned.

"It's a sad fucking statement if Dolorous Edd is our only chance." Pypar scoffed.

"The Red Woman never answer my question." Reyanna grunted.

"But... can she do it?" Reyanna asked Davos.

Davos nodded. "You haven't seen her do what I've seen her do." He told. A spark of hope lit in Reyanna's chest.

By nightfall, Alliser showed up at the door once again. "It's time Ser Davos. Open the door and the men inside can rejoin their brothers in peace. Well even set the wolves free north of the Wall where they belong. Nobody needs to die tonight." Alliser stated.

"I've never been much of a fighter. Apologies for what you're about to see." Davos told everyone in the room before he pulled out his sword. Reyanna sat up on the table and pulled out her own sword, but she remained seated.

Her heart began to race as she knew a fight was going to begin. The men outside of the door began pounding on it, trying to take it down. "Amira." Reyanna snapped her fingers, getting Amira ready to attack. Ghost was already growling and creeping forward.

But, suddenly, the pounding stopped. Outside, a loud thud was heard, distracting the men of the Night's Watch. The front gate was being struck down by giants and wildlings who came to attack the men of the Night's Watch. The fighting outside could be heard to end quickly because there was suddenly silence. Reyanna assumed the wildlings had won.

Davos and the others rushed outside to see why the commotion ended. Just as suspected, the wildlings took over and the men of the Night's Watch cowered in fear. Reyanna stepped outside, with Amira trailing her heels. An emotionless expression crossed her face. She felt nothing. She just wanted Alliser dead. So, she descended the steps and walked straight up to him and pointed her thin sword at his face. "I wonder what you'd look like with no eyes." Reyanna spoke. Alliser didn't fight back because he had already surrendered to the other wildlings that had arrived.

Alliser gulped and rose his hands in surrender. His fingers trembling in fear. Reyanna shrugged and dropped her sword. "I guess I won't be able to find out." She told.

Just as Alliser went to sigh out in relief, Reyanna snapped her fingers and Amira pounced on him, pulling his guts out and chomping on them all while he still breathed. He watched as the creature loyal to Rey, devoured him from the inside out until he fell unconscious from the blood loss.

A large hand was placed on Reyanna shoulder and she turned around to see Tormund. He, like Melisandre, had an expression sympathizing with Reyanna's loss. He hugged her, hoping it'd help. But it didn't. Nothing could ease her pain. The pain of the empty heart she now bore.

"I'll have my men get the wood for a fire." Tormund spoke when he saw Jon's body.

"You will do no such thing." Reyanna growled as she climbed back on the back to lay next to Jon.

"His body needs to burn." Tormund told.

"Leave!" Reyanna shouted, not at Tormund, because in her eyes it was just a strange man trying to take Jon away from her again.

Tormund walked away quietly.

Somehow, Davos convinced Melisandre to try and resurrect Jon with her magical spells. This was the only time Reyanna parted from his side. Inside of being glued to him, she sat nearby and watched as Melisandre muttered her incantations and cleaned Jon's wounds. Reyanna wasn't sure it'd work. But she had hope. Her heart broke when she watched Melisandre chop all of his hair to use it in her spell. She loved running her fingers through his overgrown hair. After a long while of rituals, Reyanna was sure it hadn't worked. Even Melisandre had left the room for she thought she had failed all of them with her inexplicable magic. Only Reyanna stayed behind to watch Jon. She thought it was all over. He was truly dead. But.. then... a miracle happened.

Jon's eyes shot wide open and he gasped for air. His purplely skin turned back to normal as oxygen reentered his system. Reyanna gasped. She dropped to her knees at his side. Her eyes wide like his. "I thought you were gone, forever."
