It may take me ten years but this story will be finished. 

I'm currently in the process of combining Fiery Lands and Stormy Seas with Reign of Rain into a single volume to match relatively the size of what Heroes of Darkness will be, along with making some grammatical revisions and making sure the names of the characters are consistent (for example, Brightfire/Brightflame). This is also important and doable because the two books are more or less a continuation of the same story, one picks up right where the other leaves off, and then of course the 17 year gap to HoD. 

After this project, and I'm re-acclimated to the tone of the story, I'll push forward to finish Heroes of Darkness. 

But no one likes just two volumes in a series, and everything comes in threes. True, Heroes of Darkness WILL be the final entry in the Tribal Hoenn saga... chronologically. 

If you hadn't guessed it by now, I'm planning a prequel work detailing the First Great War, with some of our favorite character POV's from previous works like Luna/Apollo Love, and of course, bringing in the tragic King Sam Marsh, Marcus Spark...

As well as some behind the scenes looks at some "villains" in the story- Miguel Starfall, and even Ahab himself should have POV scenes to detail the first great war in all its glory. Of course, there will be some more good characters to round out who have been barely mentioned in the story, but that's to be expected. From the time this news hits your feed until the book undergoes its pedal to the metal process, I will be finishing Heroes of Darkness, which is more or less halfway done.
