Chapter 8 : Lucid dream
A vast field, hidden amidst the towering Himalayan mountains, unfolded before them. It was a sanctuary of vibrant colors, where lilies, orchids, and roses painted the landscape with hues of pink, purple, and white. Nestled beside this picturesque field was a serene pond, its surface reflecting the azure sky adorned with fluffy white clouds, creating a dreamy, ethereal atmosphere.
Amidst this tranquil setting, a young woman sat by the pond's edge, her reflection dancing on the shimmering water. She absently plucked wildflowers growing nearby, weaving them into a delicate tiara, her fingers moving with practiced grace. A sense of anticipation lingered in the air, as if she awaited a long-awaited reunion.
The girl's face remained partially obscured by a light mist that floated around her, adding an air of mystery to her demeanor. A sudden, sharp whistle cut through the stillness, drawing her gaze upwards to the sky, where clouds resembled fluffy cotton balls suspended in the heavens.
Suddenly, from within the clouds emerged a majestic sight—a white stallion with wings like a bird, soaring gracefully across the sky. It circled high above before descending gracefully to the ground beside the pond. A man dismounted from the stallion, his figure shrouded by the same mist that enveloped the girl moments before.
Approaching her with purposeful steps, the man enveloped the girl in a warm embrace. For a fleeting moment, their faces were visible, their features masked only slightly by the lingering fog. It was a reunion filled with unspoken understanding and a bond that transcended words.
As the mist slowly dissipated, revealing the magnificent backdrop of mountains and the expansive field around them, the girl and the man remained in their embrace. The symphony of nature continued around them—the melodious chirping of birds, the gentle rustling of leaves, and the peaceful ripples on the pond's surface—all bearing witness to this quiet yet profound moment.
In that secluded paradise hidden from the world, amidst the beauty of nature's embrace, their hearts beat in harmony, and time seemed to stand still.
the mist began to swirl around them, obscuring their features once more. Yet, the atmosphere remained serene, undisturbed by the shroud of fog that enveloped them. The man and the girl, reunited at last, seemed unperturbed by the sudden veil that concealed them from the world.
They stood by the tranquil pond, where the lilies and orchids nodded in a gentle breeze, their colors vibrant against the lush green backdrop of the hidden field. The blue sky above, dotted with fluffy white clouds, seemed to approve of their reunion, casting a soft glow over the scene below.
The man gently released the girl from his embrace, and they exchanged smiles that spoke of a bond deeper than words. Around them, the birds continued their melodious songs, and the fish swam lazily in the clear waters of the pond. It was a moment frozen in time, where the beauty of nature mirrored the peace within their hearts.
As the fog slowly began to lift, revealing the surrounding mountains and the distant horizon, it seemed as though the world had paused to witness this quiet, yet profound, meeting. Whatever secrets or mysteries surrounded them, in that moment, all that mattered was the warmth of their embrace and the unspoken understanding between them.
And as the mist dispersed completely, the girl and the man remained standing by the pond, their hearts intertwined amidst the beauty of the secluded paradise they called their own.

"Wake up! Wake up! Wakeeee uppp, you sleepy ass!!!" A voice shouted near Suhasini's ear.
"Huh?" Suhasini jolted awake, beads of sweat glistening on her forehead. Initially disoriented, she soon recognized her surroundings—it was the room assigned to her.
"Look at me, Butterfly," Subhadra exclaimed, having tried for the past 15 minutes to rouse her for the evening feast, banging on doors, tables, and utensils to no avail. Only a shrill scream in her ear had finally stirred Suhasini from her deep slumber.
"What happened, Star?" Suhasini yawned.
"When will you get ready for tonight's feast?" Subhadra urged. "It's about Dwarka's pride."
The half-awake Suhasini scrambled out of bed, grabbed her clothes, and hurried off to change, while Subhadra facepalmed in exasperation.
Emerging moments later, Suhasini dazzled in an orange lehenga that complemented her complexion, adorned with delicate handmade jewelry. Her eyes were accentuated with kohl, and her lips bore the hue of pomegranate juice extracts. Her loose, flowing hair added to her ethereal beauty.
Subhadra, equally resplendent in a yellow saree, accompanied her. Together, they made their way to the feast. Suhasini spotted her brother Karn, standing with a bashful Vrushali. Nearby, Kumar Arjun graced the stage, his skilled fingers plucking melodies from a veena that captivated Suhasini's attention.
As Arjun concluded his performance to thunderous applause, Suhasini noticed her own sister enchanted by the archer's prowess. She smirked, anticipating teasing her sister later.
"Bohot hi madhur rag tha, Kumar Arjun," complimented Subhadra. Then, turning to Suhasini, she said, "Even my sister can sing and play the veena really well."
"Oh really, Rajkumari Subhadra? Why don't you ask her to perform then?" teased Nakul, accompanied by a girl and flashing a smirk at Suhasini.
"Oh no, jiji. I won't play. It's been ages since I last did. I don't think I even remember half of it," Suhasini protested.
"An artist never forgets their art, Butterfly. Go and perform," insisted Subhadra, nudging Suhasini toward the stage.
Feeling all eyes upon her, Suhasini hesitated briefly before summoning courage. She took the veena from Arjun and, closing her eyes, began plucking the strings, trying to recall a suitable tune. Her mind drew a blank, but she knew the honor of Dwarka rested on her shoulders in this moment.
She improvised, letting her fingers dance across the strings in a rhythmic pattern, while her voice echoed a soulful, unknown melody:
"Ye ma se na na maya
kache na na maya
Na ye na ni ye na ni ma ni yani
Ni si ya na..."
As she sang, her voice intertwined effortlessly with two other voices, creating a harmonious blend that seemed to transcend earthly realms. Together, their voices painted an enchanting picture of emotion and melody.
Suhasini sang with all her heart, oblivious to the world around her, lost in the music that seemed to flow through her like a river. Each note resonated with deep, unspoken feelings, captivating everyone present.
When the song concluded, a stunned silence enveloped the gathering before erupting into thunderous applause. Suhasini opened her eyes, finding herself still seated on the stage, her heart racing with the intensity of the moment.
She bowed her head in gratitude to Goddess Saraswati, feeling overwhelmed by the experience and the inexplicable familiarity of the other two voices.
As people praised her and Subhadra hugged her proudly, Suhasini remained puzzled about the mysterious voices. "Where did you learn this song, Hasini?" Subhadra asked, bewildered. "After all, we used to attend singing classes together."
"I don't know, Star," Suhasini replied softly, troubled by the lingering mystery.
"How can you not know, Rajkumari Suhasini? After all, you were the one singing it," remarked Bheem, with Nakul trailing grumpily behind him.
"I don't know, Bhrata Bheem. Even I am disappointed," Suhasini admitted, sensing Nakul's gaze on her, laden with an emotion she couldn't quite place.
"Brother? Oh, cool! Finally, I got a sister after this foolish Nakul and smart-ass Sahadev," Bheem exclaimed, making Nakul roll his eyes while the ladies giggled.
"Let's go and have some food, behena," Bheem suggested, dragging Nakul along with him.
Suhasini and Subhadra followed, joining the feast where Bheem enjoyed his laddoos and Nakul grumbled, while Subhadra engaged in conversation with Rajkumar Arjun. Suhasini, meanwhile, savored chaat at a corner stall, feeling someone's eyes upon her.
Looking into the mirror, she caught Sahadev staring at her. Turning to face him, she smiled mischievously, causing Sahadev to blush furiously.
"You sing really well, Rajkumari," Sahadev stammered, caught off guard.
"Thank you, Rajkumar," Suhasini replied with a smile, leaving Sahadev to scurry away, still blushing.
