Threats

Haruhi's View

I walked down the narrow hallway and pursed my lips together tightly at the image of that boy that was standing outside the schools gates. He looked very familiar but I just couldn't put my finger on who he was exactly. Furrowing my eyebrows together, I thought back to all the boys I had in my classes with dark hair. I do remember one boy who looked exactly like the one outside the gate, but he was from a year ago. I shrugged my shoulders. If he really was a classmate of mine, I must not have spoken to him throughout the year.

I glanced to the right and spotted the door that led to the Host Club's room. I smiled. Making my way towards the door, I placed my hands on it and pushed it open. The feeling of excitement and grieve rushing through me. Entering the Host Club was fun, I had to admit it, but at times it could almost become a chore. A chore that I hate with all my heart. Still, who could hate the guys for more than a day or two?

"Welcome!" The Host Club members chorused.

I smiled.

No one could hate them.

"Hi, senpai." I greeted Tamaki-senpai.

Tamaki smiled and me and walked away without any word. I rose an eyebrow at this. This wasn't normal for Tamaki-senpai. Normally he'd come up to me and say something weird then crush me with his arms. Did something happen while I was gone? Everyone was silent today. Not one of the guys were talking.

"Hikaru, Kaoru?" I asked.

Nothing. They looked down at the ground with their head hung low.

"Kyoya-senpai?" I tried.

He did nothing but glance at me with a dull look. I winced and looked away. Maybe Mori-senpai and Honey-senpai will know what's going on. I walked over to where they would treat their customers. They were both glaring at the wall. Was everyone like this?!

"Honey-senpai... Mori-senpai! Would either of you please tell me what's going on?!" I exclaimed, getting aggravated with the way they were acting.

They both turned to me so suddenly, their dark and dull breaking through my barrier. I backed away in fear. At this point, I was scared for my life. Sometime was definitely wrong and no one wanted to talk about it.

"There's a new boy attending the school."

I turned around to see Renge standing there with a small frown haunting her lips.

"A new boy? What's so special with this boy that everyone is acting like the end of the world is upon us?" I blurted out, glaring at her with my arms crossed. I was expecting an answer, no...waiting for her answer.

She bit her lip and glanced left and right nervously. Renge clenched the sides of her dress and squeezed her eyes shut.

"He's...he's demanding that we let him join the Host Club. And seeing that is obviously a threat, the members of the Club didn't take it so well. They're all in a state of shock as you can see. From what I know, they've never received a threat like this." She explained thoroughly, keeping her eyes on the floor at all times.

"They see a small demand like that as a potential threat? Are you being serious right now, Renge?" I asked incredulously. I was dumbstruck.

She nodded rapidly, "Of course I am!" She retorted.

I sighed. Isn't this just sad? The Host Club was really childish at times. Walking closer to Renge, I crossed my arms and narrowed my eyes at her.

"Who's this boy anyways?" I asked.

She shook her head, "He won't give his name up. He stated that we let him join the Host Club and then he would tell us his name." She replied.

"We might as well give in to his so called threat. If everyone's so scared wouldn't we make the situation worse if we deny his request?" I stated as if it were obvious.

Her eyes widened, "You're right." She muttered.

I smiled softly at that fact she was slowly learning, "Good. Then tell him he can come right up and we'll introduce him to the others. He'll become a Host. I don't see a big problem with that." I said.

She nodded and rushed to the side, taking her cellphone out and placing it by her ear. She was probably going to call him and say he got an 'okay'. Then it was like something clicked in everyone's head, I could feel them burning holes in the back of my head. I sweat dropped and slowly turned around to see all the Host Club members glaring down at me. I cowered back.

"S-Senpai?" I asked weakly.

Tamaki's eyes narrowed even further.

"G-Guys? What's wrong with you?" I whimpered out nervously.

"You accepted his request." They chorused.

I nodded and regained my composure, "Yes? And what's the problem with that?" I trailed on.

"We don't have a name for him yet!" Tamaki cried, dropping to his knees while sobbing.

I sweat dropped and backed away from him. Ew.

"Like the King said! We can't just accept someone when we don't know what they act like!!" Hikaru added, tugging at his auburn colored hair.

"We need his type!" Kaoru chipped in, the tone he used giving away he didn't want to say that. I frowned at him sadly. Kaoru must be going through something. He's been down lately.

I smiled brightly with my eyes closed, "We can figure that out when he comes here! Renge can call him up, can't she?" I stated.

"I'm already on it, Haruhi-kun. I called him up to the room and he seemed to agree with the sudden request. Oh, I hope he's cute!" She exclaimed, clutching her hands to her chest.

I laughed. We won't know till he gets here I guess. I looked out the window once more. I wonder who this person is and why they suddenly want to join the Host Club. Wouldn't normal guys want to avoid the Host Club? Well, that is unless he's a womanizer seeking for a girl to date. I shrugged and walked over to one of the chairs and sat down.

We'll just have to wait and see who walks through the doors.

An hour later and no one walked through the Host Club doors beside those were customers. Everyone was anticipating the arrival of the new boy, a boy who could possibly become a Host if his request was taken into consideration. Kyoya lifted his glasses up casually with his index finger, casting his gaze towards the entrance. He was all to curious as to why their guest had not arrived yet. Had they scared him off perhaps? Or could he possibly be running an hour late?

He sighed and snapped his notebook shut, "Alright. Tamaki, Hikaru, Mori. It's time to end it here." He stated.

The three Kyoya called out nodded and bid their farewells to their last guests. The girls smiled and chirped a goodbye back happily, waving at the boy who treated them today. After the remaining guests exited the room and the door slammed shut. They all cast their eyes towards Haruhi.

"So...where--" Hikaru started.

"-is he?" Kaoru finished.

Haruhi shrugged her shoulders, "I don't have a clue. Renge was the one who called him, ask her." Haruhi proposed.

They all glared at Renge.

"Renge---"

The Host Club door slammed open, causing everyone to jump in shock at the sudden noise. Haruhi stood up and walked over to the door, walking past all the dumbfounded guys. She rose an eyebrow and peeked over at the boy was walking in. Haruhi's eyes widened dramatically. A slight blush rose to her pale cheeks. Renge squealed and ran over, eyeing the boy in delight. Medium length black hair, beautiful onyx colored eyes... Both girls were thinking the exact thing.

'He's handsome!'

The boy rubbed at his neck sheepishly and glanced side to side, "Um...is this the Host Club's room?" He asked softly.

Renge nodded her head rapidly, not letting Kyoya answer. "Yes, yes this is the room!"

He grinned and blushed, "Great! Um, sorry that I'm late. I'm still new to this school and I kinda got lost with all these doors." He explained.

"No worries! As long as you arrived here safe and sound!" Tamaki exclaimed, making his way over to the new boy.

The new boy eyed Tamaki is disgust before smiling widely, hiding his emotions very well.

"Oh, I see! So, where do I begin?" He asked.

Tamaki smiled and stuck out his hand, "By telling us your name." He insisted.

The boy nodded, "Sure, I'll tell you my name if you promise that I'll be made a Host! No take backs either." He retorted quickly.

The twins rose an eyebrow in suspicion at his behavior. He was very jittery, but that could be because he was nervous. Who knows.

Tamaki pursed his lips together.

"Fine. It's a deal."

The boy suddenly smiled evilly and grabbed Tamaki's hand, "Well, it's nice to see you again, Tamaki."

Everyone froze at how the tension in the room escalated so quickly and at the change in his tone. It sounded much darker than before.

Tamaki gulped, "H-How do you know my name?" He asked in fear.

"Remember me?" The boy asked with a sly smirk, squeezing Tamaki's hand tightly.

It was dead silent in the room and everyone's hearts were beating rapidly. The next few words were not expected in a million years. Who would have guessed he would come back?

"It's me...Dai."
