Previously on Chained: Aditya and Zoya spend a day together (Chapter 31). Aditya received a call from his brother in law who he claims to be responsible for Pooja's suicide(Chapter 29).

Aditya woke up early the next day. He saw Zoya doing push ups in the room and smiled mischiviously as he tiptoed across the room and sat on Zoya's back. Zoya fell and Aditya laughed loudly and said "Kya Zoya, roz sau pushup karti ho fir bhi mera weight nhi le paai?". Zoya rolled her eyes and said  "Uthiye aap humare upar se. Poora flow bigaad diya humara."

Aditya hugged her and said "Usmein toh main expert hoon.", to which Zoya said "Adi, please abhi nhi. Hum paseene se geele hai. Aap jaiye nahake aaiye fir hum jayenge uske baad aapko jitna hug karna hai kar lijiyega."

Aditya got up obdiently and took his towel from the cupboard as Zoya continued with her pushups. Aditya said before heading towards the bathroom "Zoya, kal na Mri ke school mein Parent Teacher Meeting hai , toh maine usi hisaab se surgeries line ki hai , toh tum bhi apna schedule accordingly bana lena."

Zoya showed him thumbs up as she was panting and Aditya went.  After they got ready, they headed down for breakfast. Mrinalini was packing her school bag in her room as it was the first day of school after the summer break, Harsh was reading the paper. He greeted Zoya and Aditya as they came down, gave Zoya a kiss on the cheek and poured them some coffee and gave them a plate of toast with marmalade.

They were discussing the headlines when the door bell rang. Aditya was getting up but Zoya beckoned him to sit, as she had finished.

She opened the door and faced a man whom she didn't recognise and said "Yes, how may I help you?"

The man gave her a small smile and said "Is Aditya Hooda there?"

Zoya nodded but didn't let him step inside and asked him "Aapki tareef ? "

Before the man could reply Zoya heard Aditya's voice behind her. His voice was sharp as a blade and he was trembling  with anger as he said "Yash Arora, how dare you walk in here.? "

He walked towards him and held his collar and said "Teri itni himmat ki tu idhar aa gya. Maine bola tha na tujhe ki mujhe apni shakal bhi mat dikhana. Tujhe samajh mein nhi aata ek baari mein?"

Zoya was appaled at his behaviour and was trying her best to make him leave Yash.

Harsh was standing shell shocked , Yash however seemed unpertubed by Aditya's action and said in a very polite voice "Aditya please chodiye mujhe. Let's act like mature adults now."

Aditya let out a manical laugh and said "Tujhe chod doon main Yash. You bloody cheat , you are a murderer , you are the reason my sister is no more. I swear I will kill you with my bare hands."

Zoya said "Aditya please chodiye unhe, kar kya rhe hai aap."

Aditya didn't leave him until he heard Mrinalini exclaim "PAPA!!!!!" Aditya hands slipped from Yash's collar.

Yash's eyes moved towards his daughter. He looked at her from head to toe, taking in how much she had grown in the past two years. Mrinalini stayed rooted at her spot, her mouth was slightly open, tears forming in her big brown eyes.

Yash started walking towards her, Aditya was going to stop him but Zoya held his hand and stopped him from doing so. Aditya was glaring at Yash as he was moving towards Mri.

Each step he took made Aditya spew venom. Harsh was observing the situation gravely but his face didn't give away what he was thinking.

Yash knelt in front of Mrinalini and said in a soft voice "Mrinalini ,my  baby."

Mrinalini stroked his face lightly to make sure she wasn't dreaming.

Yash kissed that hand. Mrinalini gulped and said "Aap sach mein yahan ho papa?"

Yash nodded and Mrinalini engulfed him in a bone crushing hug and both started crying.

Mri said while taking deep breaths "Aap....aap ....phir toh mujhe chod ke nhi chale jayenge na..."

Yash kissed her forehead multiple times and said "Nhi mere bacche, main kahin nhi jaaonga , main tere saath hi rahoonga, apni doll ke saath."

Mri then said "Ma? Ma kahan hai ? Unko meri yaad nhi aa rhi kya ? Unko bhi le aaiye na please."

Yash looked surprised, he didn't know that Mri still didn't know about her mothers demise.

Aditya stepped in here and said "Mri baby, voh tumhare mummy aayengi abhi kuch dino mein.Abhi chalo tumhe school ka bhi time ho gya hai. Tumhara first day hai na aaj, chalo bus aa gyi hogi."

Mri held her father's hand tightly and said "Main nhi jaoongi school aaj. Adi, aaj papa aaye hai, itne saalon baad main mili hoon unse. Main nahi jaaongi kahin."

Aditya said "Mrinalini zid mat karo. Aaj school jana important hai. Aur tumhare papa ke saath mujhe kuch baatein bhi karni hai. Tum dupahar ko mil lena unse."

Mri shook her head adamantly and said "Nhi main nhi jaoongi. Papa phir se chale jayenge mujhe chod ke. Main abhi papa ke saath hi rahoongi."

Adi raised his voice and said "Mrinalini , school jaane ke liye der ho rhi hai. Chalo , mujhe aur behas nhi chaiye."

For the first time since she was born Aditya didn't oblige to her wishes and had raised his voice at her. It killed him and he hated Yash at the moment even more if that was possible.

Mrinalini who was already emotional, looked at Aditya furiously and with tears in her eyes said "Papa aap pakka nhi jayenge na?"

Yash who wanted to argue with Aditya at that moment, controlled himself and stroked his daughters hair and said "Nhi. Main nhi jaoonga. Kabhi nhi jaaonga baby. Tum school se wapas aa jaao, phir hum dono milke bohot baatein karenge."

Yash kissed her forehead again and hugged her tightly and said "Bye baby , stay safe. Dhyaan se jana. All the best for your first day."

Mrinalini said bye to him but ignored Aditya and went her way to the bus stop.

Yash got up and said "Aditya what the hell do you think you were doing right now? Meri beti hai voh. Koi haq nhi banta tumhara ki tum use iss tarah daanto. Don't you have any sense, couldn't you understand what she was going through?" You really think it was right on your part to send her to school now.."

Aditya was standing with mutinous expression as Yash was speaking but cut him in between and roared "Yash , teri beti ? Really ? Teri beti ? Toh phir iss beti ka baap kahan tha itne saal ? Oh! mujhe yaad aa gya . Voh toh apni biwi pe cheat karke bhaag gya tha na."

He was about to grab Yash's neck again but Zoya stepped in and said "Aditya bas kijiye. Kya tamasha bana rhe hai aap subah se. Aap please upar jaiye , thode thande ho jaiye. Hum baat karte hai Yash se tab tak."

Aditya said "Main kahin nhi jaoonga jab tak yeh ghatiya aadmi iss ghar se door nhi chala jaata."

Harsh who was silent this whole time, came closer and said in a tone so harsh that no one had ever heard him speak like that before , "Zoya, throw out this piece of dirt before Aditya and I kick him out."

He turned to Yash and spat on his face and said
"You bloody bastard , how dare you come here after all these years? I treated you like a son and you killed my daughter.  You made her commit suicide. And now you come and hug my grand daughter as if it's no big deal. Yash Arora ek baat yaad rakhna , Mrinalini ke naam ke aage humesha Hooda juda rahega kabhi Arora jodne ki koshish bhi mat karna. Jitni jaldi ho sake nikal jaao yahan se."

Zoya was shocked to see Harsh talk to someone like this but didn't say anything. Aditya went upstairs and Harsh went to his room and banged the door shut leaving Yash and Zoya alone in the hall.

Yash took out a handkerchief and wiped the spit on his face while Zoya struggled with words. Yash broke the awkward silence by saying "Aapka naam nhi pata mujhe."
Zoya said "Dr. Zoya Siddiquie."
Yash said "Oh aap bhi doctor hai , nice."
Zoya gave a short smile and after a few seconds said "Mr. Arora,.." , Yash cut her and said "Call me Yash please."
Zoya said "Yeah right. Yash , dekhiye , I am sorry for the way Aditya behaved today. I want to believe that you deserved it.."
Yash said with a small smirk "But you don't believe so ?"

Zoya was annoyed at being interrupted twice and said "Yash please stop interrupting me. And secondly yes I don't believe you deserved the treatment you got.
I think there is something else to your story and Aditya and Baba don't know about it.
I just cannot believe that the look that you had when you saw Mri was fake. And if it wasn't fake, that means you love her a lot and if you do so , you couldn't have ever abandoned her or cheated on her mother.
So if there is something else to your story please tell me , because otherwise I don't think Aditya will ever give away Mrinalini to you."

Yash said "So I can speak now ?"

Zoya raised her eyebrows at his tone and nodded a yes.

Yash sighed and said "Zoya let me clear out a few things. A) I have full rights over my daughter and I will take Aditya to court if he doesn't let me meet my daughter. B) I did cheat on my wife but I love my daughter a lot. C) I loved my wife a lot and still do and yes you are right in a way that I have my own side of the story , in simple words it is that I never wanted to cheat on her but I was left with no choice."

Zoya said "Before I ask you about your story , are you honestly saying you will drag Aditya to court ? Aapko andaza bhi unhone kya kya kiya hai aapki beti ke liye. Aren't you a little a grateful that he was there for her  , that  he cared for her like a father when you weren't there?"

Yash looked apologetic and said "Of course I am. I am more than grateful and thats the reason I will try my best to reason with him but at the end she's my daughter. I have a huge amount of respect for Aditya , honesty I do. He will always be like a brother to me. But...."

Zoya said "Why now ? Why did you come for your daughter now?"

Yash said "Because I am settled now. I am emotionally stable. I have a job. I have a loving wife. A wife who wants Mrinalini as much as I want her. I can pay Mri's expenses, fulfill her demands. I can be a good father to her. Because I am finally free from looking after a chronic alcoholic."

Zoya looked surprised, Yash said "That story of mine that you wanted to know , it's time to hear that now. Would you care for a cigarette and a cup of tea while we discuss it , it's a bit long ?"

Zoya nodded and they went out to a park with a cigarette and tea, and Yash Arora began his tale..
