The sound of steps filled the vent hole when Six was running back on the attic. She quickly made it to the ladder, that before helped her and Ten go on the bottom levels.

   Six swiftly jumped out from the vent hole. She dropped on her knees, shaking. Her vision became blurry when more tears filled her eyes. She quickly started to cry. Crying didn't took long. Six knew she need to find Five.

   Without losing more time, she got up and ran forwards.

   Five was slowly walking through the attic, looking around. She hasn't found anything since she has separated from others.

   After next few steps, she decided to take a rest. Five sat up and twisted her long tail around herself. The feeling of longing stung her heart at the memory of her home, the real home, her mother. Five missed her. The vixen closed her eyes. Tears streamed down on her face and the ears lied down. If she only could come back...

   The sound of the quick steps brought Five back to reality. She got up and wiped the tears away. Looking towards the source of the noise. Five jolted, noticing Six. The younger fox was shaking, her fur on cheeks was wet because of tears.

   - Six, what- what happened?! - Five asked frightened Six.

She didn't answer. The older vixen looked around.

   - Where's Ten? - Five asked.

   - I- I didn't want to... - Six said.

The fox in the raincoat tilted her head as she looked at the younger one. Six was looking down.

   Five put her paws on Six's shoulders and tried to make eye contact with her. The younger fox looked up slightly looked up at Five. With shaking breath Six started:

   - I. .. Have found a vent hole... And we used it to go down on the bottom levels of this place...

Six stopped swallowing the saliva.

   - We've found a room, that was filled with cages. There was food inside of them. Ten has went down to collect some of it, but then doors opened and the monster appeared. He trapped Ten in cage and took him away.

   She stopped and cried quietly. Tears streamed down on her white-furred cheeks, her ears lied down on her head.

   - I couldn't help him, I... Was too weak, afraid... That's my fault.

The fox has finished. Her head dropped down and her eyes closed tightly. Some sniffs escaped from her snout. Six sat up and started crying.

   Five seeing it crouched down next to her and put her right paw on Six's shoulder.

   - Six, listen - she said to younger vixen. - It wasn't your fault. I don't think we can still live here. Exploring places, that can be better to live was clever idea, just need to remember to be careful.

Five stopped.

   - Forgetting about it costs.

Six didn't say anything. Five's ears dropped down. She looked up, noticing red light of the sunset piercing between chinks in the roof.

   - Get up, it's getting dark - Five got up and gave Six her right paw. - Don't worry, we'll find him tommorow.

Younger girl accepted help and got up. Both foxes ran towards the camp

   When they arrived, sun had already hid behind the horizon leaving only weak red aura on the sky. Five was laying in her bed, so was Six, that was tightly rolled into a ball with a tail covering her snout. Her ears were dropped down, digging into her black hair. Five's eyes filled with sorrow while she was looking at it. Soon, she went to sleep too.

Alright, it's finally frikin done. I'm sorry that update is slow af, I just had some bad times, school was about to end so I was fixing my + there were exams at the end of the last class in school (yah, after August I'm going to new school). Also, annual vacations are the most tiring and cool vacations I ever had.

Jeez, now I realized, how short this chapter is. 591 words xD Me sorry. But now I need to say something about next chapter. In 5th chapter there will be italic text. Part written with italic text will mean it appeared before events from the book or it's a dream/flashback. In this case, it'll be both dream and event from the past
