TAEYONG was texting Jaehyun all morning the next day, and they planned to meet up again. This time, Jaehyun proposed it as a date, and Taeyong didn't know how to feel about that. Jaehyun was nice and all, and handsome, flawless, mature, smart. Taeyong cursed as he just gave him all the reasons he should date Jaehyun. He still didn't trust the other male, as he was distant with many for the first meet. He felt almost ashamed for being so hostile against the other, but he knew he had to to keep him and his son safe. It was risky, but Taeyong needed to take risks at this moment.

Taeyong was in the car now, on his way to pick up Jisung. He let Jisung stay the night at Doyoungs house after he went out with Jaehyun, and forgot to call the other. He wasn't worried though, as he knew Doyoung would take care of his child.

Pulling into the driveway, a little boy comes running out the door. Taeyong gets out of his car with a smile as the little boy runs towards him.

"Daddy!" He yells and Taeyong crouches as they embraced in a hug.

"Hi baby, where's Doyoung?" Taeyong asks pulling away.

"Over here." A voice calls beside them, and Taeyong looks over to see a bed head Doyoung.

"Don't tell me you just woke up." Taeyong says in disbelief, standing up as Jisung races to get in the car.

"I didn't wake up, Jisung woke me up. I should be asleep right now." Doyoungs states dramatically as he stretches.

"You go that, thanks for taking care of Jisung." Taeyong thanks, and Doyoung nods as he heads back inside. Taeyong could probably guess to go back to a sleep.

"How was Doyoungs Jisung?" Taeyong asks, getting into the car.

"He was fun! We went to the arcade yesterday! I got this toy, see!" Jisung excitedly shows his toy to his dad.

It was a jelly unicorn in Taeyongs eyes, and he gave a small laugh.

"Must've been fun, did you eat?" Taeyong asks, pulling out of the driveway.

"Yea! Doyoung bought me a lot! He got me a soup and meat, I don't remember the name but it was good! Then we had dessert which was cheesecake!" Jisung was literally jumping up and down in his seat talking about how good his food was.

Taeyong simply listened, and over time his smile faded listening to the words coming from his sons mouth. It was all happy, and every single one of them seemed satisfied. Hearing that, Taeyongs heart broke. He was ashamed, and he could even feel he burden on his shoulders remind him. He couldn't give Jisung anything Doyoung could, he couldn't get Jisung anything but one present. He felt guilty for being such a failure as a father, as someone Jisung looked up, he felt ashamed.

"That's great Jisung." Taeyong gave a weak smile as he stopped at a red light, looking over at his son.

"How did your night go daddy?" Jisung asks curiously, looking up at Taeyong with large eyes.

"It was calming, Jaehyuns a nice man." Taeyong says softly.

"Do you love him?" Jisung asks, almost too quickly for Taeyongs liking.

"No...we've only known each other for 2 days Jisung." Taeyong cracks a small smile, and looks back at the road as the light turns green.

"Oh..right." The tone of disappointment didn't miss Taeyong ears, and he presses his lips in a straight line.

The rest of the car ride was silent, and Taeyong hated it. He wishes he could tell his son everything, all his worries, all his burdens, but he must realize the boy was barely 6. His mind then tracked to Christmas, and the thought about the gift he was going to get Jisung. It was that train set he saw in the store last time they went, Jisung seemed to like it very much. Though, Taeyong winced innerly when he thought of the price. It was half of his savings, and that wasn't even a lot there.

Taeyongs mood went down as they pulled into the driveway, and parked. Jisung waited for his dad to get out, but when Taeyong didn't he got worried.

"Daddy? Are you okay?" Jisung asks as he leans over.

"Jisung, do you want a dad? Another dad?" Taeyong asks softly.

"Well...." Jisung trials off, and then looks down. "I would be lying if I said no." He admits.

Taeyong takes the answer, and notes in his brain. He should've known Jisung wanted another, another to look up to and spend time with. He knew this, and yet he ignored it until now.

"But I don't want a daddy like the other one..." Jisung speaks up lowly, still staring down as he fiddles with his hands.

Taeyong looks up, and over at the small boy. He gives a small sigh, and raises a hand to caress the soft brown hair.

"You won't love, I promise." Taeyong whispers.

"I love you daddy." Jisung says in a small voice as he looks up.

"I love you too."

Taeyong was cleaning, and for some reason felt the need to go overboard. He was already sweating as he cleaned off the vacuumed the last of the house. Taeyong looked at the time, and cursed. He was suppose to be here soon, and he wasn't even dressed properly or smelled good.

By he, he meant Jaehyun. He invited him over for dinner after he heard Jisung talk to him in the car. All he could think about was Jaehyun, and how maybe he might fill a hole in his sons heart. He didn't want Jaehyun to get the wrong idea though, so he just called it a small thanks for the last time Jaehyun took him out.

Taeyong rushes to the bathroom, and closes the door. Quickly, he takes off his clothes and starts the shower. Getting in, he washes quickly but efficiently as he wanted to smell good. He didn't know why, but he felt the need to impress himself in front of the other.

After a moment, Taeyong failed to hear the knock at his front door. However, Jisung didn't.

Jisung walks over to the door, and opens it revealing Jaehyun.

"Are you Jaehyun?" Jisung asks quietly, and peeks behind door the door shyly.

"Ah yes, and you must be Jisung." Jaehyun replies with a small smile. "Mind if I come in?"

Jisung slowly shakes his head as he opens the door slowly, allowing the other male to walk into the house. Jaehyun then looks over at Jisung, who has his head down the slightest.

"Mind telling me where Taeyong is?" Jaehyun asks softly, seeing the other was being hostile to him.

"He's in the shower." Jisung whispers, fiddling with his hands.

Jaehyun nods, seeing the others actions and taking note. The boy was simply scared of him.

"Well Jisung, I've heard all about your toy collection. Wanna show me?" Jaehyun asks with a smile.

Jisung lightens up a little as a small smile creeps onto his face. He nods as he grabs the others two fingers with his small one.

Jaehyun is dragged along, and on the way he gets a good look at the small apartment. It was small, very simple, and didn't have much furniture. There was a tv, but it was small as well. It felt nice in the place though, and had a good smell to it. It wasn't junky, it was actually very clean. Jaehyun was kind of impressed, especially since Taeyong is a single father to a 5 year old.

Jaehyun is dragged into a very small room that didn't have much at all but a bed and dresser.

"This is my room, these are my toys." Jisung says quietly, and walks over to a small basket of toys.

It was a very small basket of toys, and Jaehyun didn't miss this. He watched the smaller boy drag out a toy car, and digs through the other toys.

"Daddy bought me this one for my birthday last year, and this one was from Christmas. The other ones are from Doyoung." Jisung explains lowly, looking at all his toys proudly.

"Doyoung?" Jaehyun asks, walking over as he crouches down beside the other.

"Yea, he helped my daddy stop drin—" Jisung stops himself mid sentence, and pops his head up as if he remembers something all the sudden.

"He helped my daddy." Jisung simply says as he covers it up with a smile.

"Oh, I see." Jaehyun analyzes the situation, and can already tell what has happened through the boy's awkward actions.

"Jaehyun?" A voice behind them makes them turn to see who it is.

Jaehyun immediately rises from his position, and faces the other who was drying his damp hair with a towel.

"Jisung, you know what I told you." Taeyong squinted his eyes, and then looks back at Jaehyun. "Sorry, I was taking a shower."

"It's fine, Jisung was just showing me his collection of fine toys." Jaehyun says with a smile.

"I'm sure he was." Taeyong gives a small smile, and Jisung runs over to Taeyongs side.

Taeyong then lightens up alittle as he stares at Jaehyun.

"Uh, dinners ready."

None of the adults could see it, but Jisung was more than happy to have another male in the house. After he saw Jaehyun that one fateful night, he knew that it was the fate of strings that connected him and his dad. It just needed time to be over edge. He was excited, seeing that his dad had another person roaming through the house but Doyoung. He wished for this to happen, and it seemed the gods above answered his prayers.

They were now sitting at the table, eating half of Taeyongs food supply because he couldn't just give Jaehyun instant ramen. He was the CEO, that would be bad on his side. So they were having salmon with some sides. The food was very expensive, but Taeyong did it for Jisung and Jaehyun. He knew he would have to work extra hard this week as he spent so much money.

It was awkward silence though as they ate, and Taeyong just had to break the silence. He's barely eaten his food, half because he was nervous, the other half was just him thinking of saving it.

"Thank you, for this." Jaehyun speaks up, and it takes Taeyong off guard as he looks up.

"Oh, yea. Of course, it was to repay you for the last time." Taeyong explains slowly.

Jaehyun doesn't fail to miss all the food left on Taeyong plate, and that's what made his thoughts go side track. He had many conclusions and theories about Taeyong and Jisung, yet none of them had enough information to be true. This was a new one.

"So, Anything you and Jisung like to do for fun?" Jaehyun asks, finished with his meal as he puts down his utensil.

"Jisung loves going to amusement parks, but I've never had time to go with him. Doyoung usually takes him." Taeyong explains.

"Who is Doyoung again?" Jaehyun asks, controlling the tone in his voice to be polite.

"Oh, Doyoung is my uh...my friend from a while back. He knew me when I had Jisung, and helped me get a job as well." Taeyong explains slowly.

"Ah, I see." Jaehyun says. "Anything you enjoy doing?"

"I don't usually have time to do anything, works is hard these days." Taeyong lies.

"I see, anything you think of wanting to do?" Jaehyun asks.

"Well, to be quite honest I've always wanted to visit an ocean." Taeyong admits shyly.

Jaehyun nods, taking notes mentally.

"What about you Jisung? Anything you want?" Jaehyun turns his attention towards the other boy, who has eaten his food.

"I want a dad." Jisung blurts out.

"Jisung." Taeyong says sternly, and furrows his eyebrows as he looks at his son.

"It's okay, I asked, it was my fault." Jaehyun is quick to apologize in behalf of the other.

Suddenly the boy scoots out his chair from the table, and runs to his room. Jaehyun could tell he was the verge of tears, and felt guilty.

Taeyong lets him go as he gives a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry." He apologizes.

"It's okay, he's still young." Jaehyun sympathizes, staring at the other male.

Jaehyun could just sense the anxiety, and stress running off the other. He could only imagine what he was thinking about.

"Is everything okay?" Jaehyun asks softly.

"Yea, it's just the past wasn't that nice to me and Jisung. It sticks with him." Taeyong whispers.

Jaehyun stays quiet, and thinks of what to say. Taeyong looked tired, and he now noticed the bags under his eyes. How heavy his eyes looked whenever he saw him, and how thin he was. Jaehyun didn't miss a single thing.

"Taeyong, if you want to talk I'm here. It's sometimes better to talk than to keep it all bottled up." Jaehyun explains in a comforting tone.

"I know, I just don't know if I'm ready to move on." Taeyong admits.

"Someday you will be, you'll know when. I'll be here." Jaehyun assures.

"Thank you." Taeyong whispers, feeling a little better as Jaehyun was reassuring him.

"I should get back." Jaehyun says, and rises from his chair.

"Oh, yea." Taeyong quickly gets up as well, and walks Jaehyun to the door awkwardly.

Jaehyun opens the door, but stops halfway. Looking over at Taeyong, he smiles.

"Thank you, again Taeyong." Jaehyun says, and with a wink he closes the door and disappears out of Taeyongs sight.

Taeyong immediately sighs as he leans his hands on the table, closing his eyes. He fights back the feelings he's having for the other right now, and is in denial.

"Daddy?" A voice calls out from in front of him, and Taeyong looks up to see Jisung standing guilty in the hallway. "I'm sorry."

Taeyong gives a soft smile, and slowly walks over to the other. Crouching down he gives a small sigh, placing his hands on his sons shoulders.

"It's ok Jisung, it's not your fault." Taeyong whispers. "It's mine." He says guilty.

"No it's not, it's bad daddy's fault." Jisung argues, pouting.

"I guess so." Taeyong says softly in disbelief. "Let's get to bed."

Leading his son down the hallway into his room, Taeyongs mind can't help but drift to thought about his ex lover. His face is still burned into the back of his head, and his hands still marked his body with scars. Every time he looked at Jisung he saw his face, and it hurt him that Jisung had to watch everything at such a young age. His ex lover left when Jisung turned 3, and it was quiet ever since. Jisung still had memories, but was blurry as he was still young at the time. Though in Taeyongs head, it was vivid as it happened almost everyday. He didn't even want to think how harshly it was during his pregnancy.

Entering the room, he walked Jisung to his small bed and let him crawl onto it. Getting under the covers, Taeyong was about to leave when Jisung spoke up.

"Is Jaehyun like bad daddy?" Jisung asks, concern laced in his voice.

Taeyong stops for a moment, and hovers his hand over the light switch. Thinking back to Jaehyun, his mind is only filled with sweet thoughts.

"No, Jaehyun is not like bad daddy." Taeyong answers, and turns off the lights as he shuts the door.

Walking towards his room, his mind drifts to his ex lover, then back to Jaehyun. He thought about all the reasons his ex lover made him suffer, and then his mind would switch to how Jaehyun made him feel at home.

Going into his room, he heads to his bathroom and closes the door. He leans over the sink, and takes a few deep breaths. After a moment, he slowly grabs his toothbrush and turns on the water. He lets water run over the toothbrush, and then puts toothpaste on it. Turning off the water, he looks up at himself in the mirror.

His tired eyes stare down himself, the bags under his eyes, his faded hair, his thin frame, his almost sickly figure. He despised it all, and every time he looked at his face all he could see was the scars. The scar on his upper cheek was always first, and it made him think back to the vivid memory of that one marking.

He remembers being yelled at, and his ex lover was on drugs. He was going absolutely crazy, and Taeyong was barely a month into his pregnancy. He remembers his ex lover wearing rings at the time, a lot of them. He remembers stepping into the room, trying to calm him down in protest of them being kicked out of the apartment. That's when the older male lifted his fist, and landed a harsh punch across Taeyongs face. Taeyong could feel the pain that surged through his cheek that day as a ring cut through his skin. It was disturbing even thinking about it, and sent shivers down Taeyongs spine.

Taeyong lifted a hand to touch the scar, only to see the other on his hand. That was another memory he wished to never speak of again, and wished for it to leave his mind. Yet it stayed, burning into his mind like a picture. He only wished he had the courage to fight back that one horrid day.

Taeyong shook his head, putting the toothbrush in his mouth shakily brushing his teeth. He did it quick, and rinsed before turning off the lights and getting in bed. He was shaking, and he didn't know why. He could feel his body shiver at moments, and he closed his eyes as he tried to relax.

After a while, Taeyongs heavy eyes shut close and he was sent to dream land. Though, it wasn't a dream, it was simply drowning memories.
