This is my submission for round two LoveShots contest. Tried to mix both Fantasy and horror. Also continued the same plot from round 1.

#Loveshots

Anika was living her days with heavy heart.The century gap between Sanket and her was unbearable. She knew Sanket would do everything to bring her back to 19th century but she couldn't just sit down and leave it to fate.

Was it really God's punishment for interfering with time or was it a human's ploy?

Amidst all of this, Anika didn't realise that someone sat beside her. The warm breath on her neck startled her.

She jerked back and looked at the invisible space.

"Who is it?" She tried to sound brave. She already knew who it was.

"Oh my darling? Did you forget our last encounter? The one where I almost took your breath?" lord Canister malicious laugh reverberated.

"Why are you trying to kill me? What harm did I do to you?" Anika asked scared

"Harm? Oh dear, you didn't!"

"Then why are you after me?"

"Don't you remember dear? It was not about you, but about who you are!"

"What do you mean?"

"Oh Anika! Little dear forgot that she is the key to immortality! You hold the power to the essence of immortality"

It was awkward and scary to talk into space.

"Power? Immortality?" Anika asked bewildered

"Looks like Love sick Sanket didn't tell the truth! You my dear, the daughter of the most powerful Witch holds the power"

"You are lying!I have no power. You should leave before Sanket comes and kills you"

"Sanket and kill me" Losrd Canister laughed loudly "He is in 19th century you fool! And you are in 21st century. Now I am going to make sure you don't return back."

Suddenly Anika was pushed to walls with shear force.

"Your blood holds the powers and I am going to drink all your blood so that I regain my body and your powers just like what I did with your good father!" He squeezed her throat with more pressure.

"Do you want to know, how I killed your father? Little by little I made his blood drop by his throat while he writhed in pain and struggled to save himself! You know you killed your father! He made himself a diversion to save you! He traded his soul in return of yours! But what a fool he was! I couldn't leave the precious gold for coal"

"Oh god! How could you! Are you a vampire?" Anika struggled to say the words

"No dear, vampires are the mere mythological creatures of 21st century. I am making a new race, a race much evil than vampires and much powerful than humans. You know there was once a time where I loved you! But you ruined it with that Sanket chap! You know why I left you to live so long, so that you can live with a heavy heart of killing your father like you killed my heart!"

"Please let me go" Anika pleaded

"Goodbye dear" but as he said those lines, he was thrown off by a magical force.

It was painful. Anika could hear his scream.

She found a woman standing, her hands were the source of magic.

"Mother!" Anika gasped.

"Oh dear!" Anika was soon engulfed in her mother's arms.

Anika pulled back  " They said you drowned!"

"I know dear" She brushed her hands on Anika's hair lovingly " They wanted you because they knew you are special. I went to negotiate with them but they drugged me. He dragged me, My feet dragged across ground, and he took me to river where he slowly let me drown. He thought I would die but he didn't know that our blood doesn't have lasting effect of drugs."

"Oh Maa, I am so happy to see you alive" Anika's lips quivered

"What is it dear?" She knew her daughter well "What guilt you hold in your heart?"

"Oh maa, I am so sorry! Because of me papa died. It is all my fault! Everyone's life is in danger because of me!" She sobbed

Anika's mother cupped Anika's face and wiped the tears. "No dear, none of this is your fault. It's what fate has for us. Your father loved you and he died to save his precious daughter. He died to let the goodness win over evil. If you blame yourself then your father can never have peace."

Anika nodded. She didn't want her father to be sad.

Anika remembered something. "Mother, how come you are in 21st century? The portals do not open for so long"

"I was saved from drowning but at that moment the sun and moon positions were in such that it made water element powerful and so the dimensions of various time were opened. I succumbed to another time. After lots of searching I was back in 19th century but then I learned about you and came here as soon I can."

"Mother, Sanket said I cannot return back. If I do so, I will die"

"That boy Sanket loves you more than his life" She sighed "Yes, it is true. You all tried to handle God's power in your hands , this is why you are here. Your body cannot handle the energy a portal holds."

"Mother, I don't remember how all this happened. Please explain to me"

Anika saw her mother slowly fading.

"My dear, I don't have time. But I can say this much that don't let your heart be heavy with guilt and wait for the correct time. God is with us. When he wants, you will meet with your answers. Till then, find Rishika, she knows what to do. Good bye my sweet child."

And again Anika was left alone in the lonely world.
