The LARGE and the small of it All
(prompt: 'quality' 28/8/2020)
Look! A mother and child?
43g. (1.5 ounces) and 105g. (3.7ounces) — laid by the same brown hens producing variation in shades of eggs from deep, almost reddish brown to the palest cream; ALL fed the exact same grain/layer pellets, weeds/worms, and kitchen waste.
'Sunnyside up' are our eggs; sunshine smiling from every one. One customer gave a dozen to her ageing city mother, and luckily was there when they were all to be tipped down the sink. Crime? —'impossibly yellow'. SO many years since she'd seen a 'real' quality farm egg, mother thought they were 'off'.
