"Many years ago before the humans roamed the earth

Three clans of cats used to rule the forest diving the lands into equal parts

Aries clan- a clan of winged cats who worshipped the cat god Aries an orange-yellow tabby with large white wings and feathers in his fur his eyes are the color of the bright fire of the sun. He takes pride in his clan and protects them from unwanted rouge cats. the winged cats had tokens over the sky claiming the clouds as their home. They are fearless and loyal cats

Poseidon Clan- A clan that takes the ocean and beaches as their home sharing the food in return for usual items other cats may not find useful. They are wise and calm cats who rather not deal with battles outside the ocean world using underwater rocks and coral to make their dens some even make underwater dens in the sand using only magic to hold their dens up.

Athena Clan- The Only She-cat who takes pride and joy in visiting her clan. Helping the mortal cats with gathering foods and medical plants they need to survive. She is often found playing with kits and teaching her young warriors to defend themselves.

But one day they all disappeared and the clans went into war with one another thinking their beloved gods had fought with one another and they all died at war with each other. But truth be told the gods were like Phoenix when they get old and fragile they turn into dust and reborn as new cats every ten thousand years."

A mother whispered to her three kits while two slept one was wide awake looking up at her mother. she whispered to her mother barely above the sound of a mew "So then what happened?" the mother cat licked her kit's cream-colored head "No one knows that all the story Salem." The mother cat laid down and fell asleep. Salem curled up under her mother's chin and fell asleep.

By Morning.

Salem pov (3 moons old.)

I giggled as I chased Misty and Yellow out of the den. Mother had permitted us to play outside but to stay inside the clan.

I was hiding in a bush in a hunter pounce position. My tail barely touched the grass. I kept my eyes on my best friend Jagger and my brother Yellow. Jagger tackles Yellow close to the bush. I jumped and tackled Jagger and yelled "CAT PILE!!" I landed on top of Jagger and Yellow quickly got up and jumped onto me laying flat on my stomach. Jagger was laying on his stomach.

Soon Misty and Petal joined us. We were all giggling like crazed kittens. A few warriors would stop and look at us smiling and some rolled their eyes calling us crazy kittens on mint leaves.

We soon went separate ways. The sun was in the middle of the sky. Larger and Yellow both went somewhere to play hide and seek. Misty and I were heading off to the watering hole in the center of the clan where the tree of Moon stood tall and healthy. The tree was the first thing Athena the galaxy cat created before creating the forest prey animals to hunt.

Older cats were all gathering below the moon tree. I titled my head and so did Petal.

She mews "Why are they all gathering the leader didn't call for a meeting has she?" I lightly shake my head "No not that I know of. We would have heard about it and mom would have us back inside our den." I mewed. I turned around and yawned "Im going back inside the den to take a nap want to tag along?" Petal shakes her head "Nah go ahead without me im going back to playing with Jagger and Yellow."

I smiled "Okay have fun." I turned around and walked away from the watering hole.

Petal left a bit after me.

I was back inside the den waking up. I felt mom rough tongue cleaning my fur. I saw Jagger and Yellow but Petal was gone still.

I tilted my head and asked mom "Hey mom where is Petal?" She was confused as well "Im not sure Salem. Maybe she is still outside." I looked at Jagger and Yellow "She told me she was going to look for Jagger and Yellow. Is she okay?!" Mom meows "Be quiet Salem. Go back to sleep we will look for Petal tomorrow."

I huffed and fluff out my fur. I curled up back into a ball trying to sleep.

The next morning.

I woke up hearing Jagger and Yellow roughhousing again. Jagger accidentally bit Yellow too hard causing the small yellow kit to hiss "Ow that hurts!" Yellow swipes his claw scratching the black and white kit muzzle "Ow I didn't mean to hurt you jeez." Jagger toke off and went home.

Mom came back home without Petal.

She was crying tears streaming down her cream-colored fur. "Im so sorry kits. Petal is facing with the stars and hunting with Athena now."

Yellow and I's ears were pinned back as both of us began crying. Mother curled up around us as we grieved.

Later that evening mom toke us to PetalWarrior grave. Our leader gives kits their warrior names after they pass on into the hunting realm with Athena.

It was noon all cats gather around the kits graveyard. Our Leader MorningGlory is the light purple furred cat with soft pastel yellow eyes.

Every cat start to quiet down as our Elder leader spoke "Today we mourn the loss of a kit by name of Petal. A young kit whose life was just beginning. We sadden as Petals mother grieves and mourns with her kits. Today Petal is given her full warrior name PetalWarrior. A wonderful little kit who lost her life too early. Today we use the mistakes we made to a better life and watch over kits to protect and watch them as they grow up into future leaders, hunters, medicine cats, and warriors. May PetalWarrior rest and Hunt and even face our goddess, Athena."

After MorningGlory said that. She touched her nose to mother's forehead and spoke "Her life was taken to early Cloud rain. But don't mourn as your kits will need you now more than ever."

After everybody left Mother, Yellow, and I was the last to leave our sister's grave. I placed Petal's favorite colored flower down at her grave.

Mom and Yellow waited by a tree. I sat down and mumbled to myself "I promise to become the leader of the clan. I'll make changes to protect other kits and elders from harm." I got up and walked back to Mom and Yellow.

Once we got back to our den. Yellow and I both curled up against mom's neck fur and settled down for the rest of the day. We all toke short naps for the evening.
