((A/N: So sorry this is up so late!! I've been busy all day and only just got back in my house... where the internet is XD.

"Your really gonna have me meet your parents?" He asked me, pulling off his red and blue headphones I had gotten him for his birthday.

"I don't see why not? We're best friends!" I replied.

Zander and I had been best friends since the day we met two years ago.

Today he was going to have dinner at my house with my parents.

Eventhough Zander and I spent alot of time together, we never had time to meet my parents. They were almost always busy at work.

We made it to my house, I unlocked the door and we went in.

*******Zander's POV*******

"Mother, Father! I am home!" Vira called out.

"Ah, Virana. Welcome home. Open wide." Her father cooed as he aproached us.

She opened her mouth to show him get pearly white, perfect teeth.

"That's my girl!" He replied.

"Oh, Virana, May I see your phone?" Her mother asked.

View handed her mother her phone and her mother seemed to look for something and showed a satisfied smile with what she saw.

"2000 steps so far today. I'm proud of you!" Her mother cooed.

"Thank you mother, Father." She smiled.

'The heck?'

"Zander. This is my Mother, Mrs Ogriv. She is a doctor. And thus is my Father, Mr Ogriv. He is a dentist." She smiled.

'Oh... extreme much?'

"It's wonderful to meet you, Mr and Mrs Ogriv. My name is Zander Scesip." I introduced myself.

"I see. May we ask you a few questions Zander?" Mr Ogriv asked.

"Um... sure. Of course you can." I replied, confused.

"What is your favorite thing to do?" Mrs Ogriv asked.

"Well, besides from hanging out with Vira, it would be a tie between listenig to music and swimming." I replied honestly.

"So you enjoy swimming. Do you do any other sporty activities?" She asked.

"I... like to ride my bike..." I replied.

She seemed to be thinking something over as Mr Ogriv took over.

"Show me your teeth." Mr Ogriv demanded.

I opened my mouth and he seemed to study it carefully.

"How much sugary things do you eat?" He asked.

"Quite alot. Vira doesn't eat sugary things, or drink then, so I have to make up for her." I replied cheerfully.

"Do you brush often?" He asked.

"Um... I don't know. I brush my teeth after breakfast, when I come in from school and then just before I go to bed..." I replied.

"I see. There is nothing wrong with your teeth" He began.

"and you seem like a fairly active child." Mrs Ogriv continued.

"We aprove of you being friends with our Virana. Let's go and eat shall we?" Mr Ogriv offered.

We sat down to eat a tasty dinner that night.

Ever since that day, I understood why Vira was always obsessed with fitness and hygine.

I understood it, and rebeled against it.

Even if it meant sneaking chocolate behind her parents back and getting her to brush her teeth at my house, I was going to get her to eat sweets.

It was a childhood right of passage!

At first Vira was supprised, but now she enjoys eating sweets. Chocolate being her favourite.

It's weird. At first she didn't say to go against her family. But Ever since she turned 11 this year she started to enjoy chocolate.

She still doesn't like to disobey her parents just of the time...

But for one week, every month, she will just pig out on chocolates with me.

Like today. We were on our way back to my house and I couldn't stop staring at Vira.

We'd been talking for a while now and she kept laughing at the way my voice was breaking.

She looked so pretty. Just like usual.

********Vira's POV********

"Vira" Zander spoke up.

"Yes?" I replied.

"You look warm and cozy." He said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"When we first met. I couldn't figure out what you looked like. But now I know. Your hair is red like a fire and your eyes are so brown that the make me feel welcome. So I decided that you look warm and cozy." He explained.

"I see. Thank you Zander." I smiled.
