Lucy cried with joy. "Natsu! Gray! Happy!" Gray beat up guards behind them, and Natsu beat up the guards in front. Happy flew over to Lucy. "Are you alright, Lucy?!" Lucy didn't know what to say. "Let's get you gotta here!" Lucy shook her head. "I can't..." Dan grabbed Lucy's arm quickly. "You'll pay for this." He said quietly dragging her. "No matter were you go I'll always find you, and make you suffer like I did long ago. I know we're you'll go, and who your with, and I'll always be watching your every move." Lucy struggled. "Even if you try to escape, you'll never be able to leave me." Lucy struggled harder, trying to get free, and to get her key. "Gray! Natsu!" Gray slammed his hands on the floor, and made ice. Lucy slide across the floor to Gray. Gray grabbed her, and carried Lucy bridle style. "You look beautiful, Lucy." Lucy blushed looking into Grays eyes. He looked in hers. "Don't worry, Lucy. Your safe now, I won't let him get you." He gave her a reassuring smile, and set her down carefully in the room she was getting ready in.

Dan, and Natsu glared at each other. "I won't let you take her away from me." Dan sneered. "Deal with it pal, I'm all fired up!" The two used there strongest magic to defeat one another. "You won't get her!" Dan screamed punching Natsu with his magic. "I already have!" Natsu shoot Dan with his fire dragon slayer magic. Dan flew across the room, he stood up weakly. "You can't take, Lucy, without a fight." Dan wiped the blood off his chin.

Lucy crawled toward the fight. Everyone was in pain, because of her. "Stop please..." She said weakly. Gray, and Happy laid on the ground. They were powerless. For Natsu he was standing, leaning over side to side. Dan was too. "Stop.... Please!" Lucy stood up with all her might, and walked slowly toward Dan. "You know I was afraid of you, I actually thought I had to marry you in order to stay alive, and save my friends, but now. Now, I don't have to follow the rules." Lucy grinned deviously. "Your just a man with a rotten heart who will do anything to get his way! Your despicable! I will never marry a man like you." Dan sighed reaching his hand toward her hand. That reminded her of Hibiki. Her eyes widened in memory. "Your past, your in pain." Dan smiles at Lucy. "Your lover died... I know how it feels..." Dan wiped his eyes. Lucy started to cry. "I wanted to marry you because I heard about your past. I knew we shared the same pain... I thought you were beautiful, smart, and every thing I could've asked for. I guess I was to in love with you, that I forgot about how you felt..." Lucy smiled, and touched his cheek tears still falling. "I'm sorry, Lucy... But I don't want to loose you like my first love..." Dan sighed grabbing Lucy. "I don't want to hurt you, Lucy, but I need you."

Natsu watched as the two talked, he didn't feel comfortable with this. Dan, and Lucy hugged for a while. Dan smiled happily, but Lucy cried, because of her pain of her past. Later the magic council came, and took Dan for extreme questioning. Lucy stared off into the hills. She couldn't wait to go home to fairy tail. But something bothered her about how much Dan wanted her, all the pain also bothered her too, but there was something more. Something sticking to her mind like it was taped to it.
