Lucy ran as far as she could until her legs gave out, and rested. She sat silently on the ground when a familiar voice called out to her. "Lucy! Wait up!" Gray shouted as he caught up to her. He slid on his knees like a ice cube, and sat next to her. "Let me see your eye." Gray insisted quickly. Lucy was covering her eye with her palm. She was nervous that she'd looked bad. "Come on, I have to see, Lucy." She slowly pulled her hand down tears still falling from her eyes. "Does it look bad..." Gray hesitated. Her eye that got punched was black, and purple. It wasn't swollen, just a little puffy. "You look fine." He gave her a assuring smile. She smiled back, wiping her tears. "It's only bruised slightly, not that bad." She shrugged. "At least it was me." Gray frowned. "Why would you want it to be you..." Lucy shrugged. "It was kinda my fault... And plus, I don't like seeing others get hurt, especially team members." Gray felt something inside him, he wasn't happy that she got hurt, but he was happy she cares about others. It's a good trait in a person. "That's sweet." Gray told her. She blushed lightly.

They talked for a while, Gray, and Lucy, it was almost night, and Gray insisted to take Lucy home. Lucy agreed, and they walked home together. "See you later, Blondie." Gray waved good-bye to Lucy.

The next morning when Lucy woke up, and went to look at herself in the mirror, she didn't look that bad, except for her one eye, but it wasn't terrible. She got ready, and walked out side sitting at the edge of the side walk, leaving her legs to swing over the edge, over the water. She looked at her wavy reflection in the clear blue water. She smiled, "You look OK." She frowned touched her eye, which stung. "Natsu..."
