The sun was setting in the distance, and Celeste's head was resting on the cool glass of the black SUV as it made its way through a winding mountain road. In the front seats were her parents, Aaron and Joanna, talking to each other in hushed whispers occasionally looking back at their six-year-old daughter slowly drifting off to sleep.

There was only a sliver left of the sun, and as it vanished from sight completely. Little Celeste was soon fast asleep. The sun slowly died away and what was left was pitch dark, and it began to rain. The rain had quickly began to eat away at the dirt on the mountain top.

Suddenly, there was thundering rocks. The sickening sound of oozing mud enveloping trees. Aaron and Joanna looked up the mountain and saw dirt snapping trees, the remnat's tumble down the side of the mountain. Joanna screamed and Celeste's eyes snapped open and picked her head up just to have her head smack against the window. Celeste cried out in pain as the car was swept down the mountain side.

Aaron unbuckled and threw himself into the back, covering his daughter from the shattering glass as the car rammed into a tree.

The SUV flipped its way down the mountain and came to a stop at the bottom of the mountain. Celeste's father took six-year-old Celeste out of the car and put her on the ground outside of the car and turned to get his wife out of the car. Celeste stood up, blood oozing down her face from her temple, and watched as her father pulled Celeste's unconscious mother out of the driver's seat and carried her from the car.

"Let's go Celeste! Run!" Aaron cried as he turned to face her to be sure that his daughter was following him. When he saw that she was, and that she was limping, Aaron slung Joanna over his burly shoulders and scooped up the crying Celeste in his free arm and carried them both away from the car, and still moving mudslide.

Everything hurt; my head, my eyes, my neck, my whole body. I opened my eyes a crack and saw nothing but blinding white. I quickly shut them.

Groaning, I propped myself up on my elbows and looked around. I was in a completely white room, and it was giving me the worst headache in the history of headaches.

I had no way of telling what time it was, but several hours must have passed when I heard footsteps coming from outside my jail cell. A click sounded from the door and the knob turned.

Against my ever-protesting body, I stood up and pressed myself against the wall on the left side of the door. And when it opened I gave a cry and pulled my arm back and gave a punch to the woman's jawbone. A yelp of pain came from the spanish woman.

Shoving her inside of my white prison cell, I gathered up the folds of my wrinkled white dress and sprinted for my life. Away from the white room of impending headaches.

I heard faintly what sounded like sirens ringing, but I was so full of adrenaline I could barely hear anything. In front of me, two men in all black with rather large black guns in their hands shouted. "Stop!"

But I didn't stop, I barreled right through them. Barely able to think about what I was doing. A hard hook to the man on the rights' nose with my ring studded fingers, and a knee kick to the man on the left's groin. Their groans and yelps of pain could be heard as I cradled my hand in my other non-injured hand and continued to run down the hallway.

Why does everything have to be white? I wondered as I turned a corner and came straight into a flaming wall of fire.

"Woah!" I shouted, skidding to a halt. "What kind of place is this?" I screamed, a firewall coming up behind me causing me to yelp in surprise.

"Celeste!" A familiar voice shouted from the other side of the flame wall in front of me.

I recognized the voice from the short period of time we had talked. "Xavier?" I shouted back.

"No." Xavier-not-Xavier replied. "It's Pippen, the hot one."

I laughed. "Well then, 'Pippen-the-hot-one,' can you turn off the firewall?"

"Only if you follow me without any struggling!"

I rolled my eyes and groaned as I went over my options before grudgingly shouting back. "Fine!"

The wall slowly flickered out and I was left feeling happy that the heat was gone.

"Okay. Celeste?" Pippen said, crossing his arms over his wrinkled white button up.

Gosh. My sweet sixteen! I wonder if anyone knew if I was gone. Probably, Becca was there, and my guardians would be devastated.

Pippen and I turned a corner and he grabbed my arm, making sure I didn't try to run again. I didn't put up a struggle.

Pippen pressed his right hand against a pad in the wall, and it glowed green as a door appeared in the wall that wasn't there before. I gave a small yelp in surprise as it swished open. We stepped through the door and was met by four people who were all in different positions on the two white- no surprises there- couches. They were still in their dresses from my sweet sixteenth, except for the elderly man with a full, graying beard in a pair of khakis and navy blue polo.

The door shut behind us and the four people all stood up from the two couches and turned towards Pippen and I.

"Got her." Pippen said, finally letting go of my arm. I placed my hand where Pippen's iron grip had been.

The door swished back open behind us, I turned and saw the Spanish woman. My face grew hot as she stepped into the room holding an ice pack to her jaw. "Glad you... caught her." She panted, wincing in pain as she spoke.

"Are you okay, Reg?" The man with the graying beard asked, rushing forward to help her.

"Oh, I'm fine." She said, swatting away the man's hands.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Fine." She said soothingly as she sidestepped around the man and said to me. "Hello, my name is Regila Lopéz. Head of the Azinagro Organization Base. The A.O.B. for short." She turned to the group of teenagers. "This is Celeste Artimera, whom you have successfully taken from her sweet sixteen. We dispatched a group to erase all memories of Celeste Artimera from her family and loved ones one hour ago."

I did a double take, Erase me from my family and friends memories? How is that possible? I thought that stuff only happened in movies!

"Anyway." Regila said giving me a cautious side glance and continued. "I have some introductions and quite a lot of explaining to do, I have no doubt." Regila repositioned the ice pack on her face, wincing at all the talking she was doing. "Celeste, this is Captain Bosney."

"But please call me Captain Bos, sounds much better that way." Captain "Bos" said with a wink.

"Xavier Beowulf. Master of the Element of Ice." She said as Xavier shifted his jaw and his eyes flashed ice blue and ice cicles grew on his crossed arms. I did a double take.

"Pippen Beowulf, Master of the Element of Fire." Regila continued.

Pippen's eyes flashed fiery red as he splayed his fingers out, palm up, and then snapped his fingers and a flame sparked to life around his fist. I jumped in surprise.

"Rosalva Estimar, Master of the-"

"Hold up." I said, putting my hands in the air and slowly backing away. The fire wall in the hallway suddenly making sense.

"What is it, Celeste?" Regila said, cocking her head to one side.

"It's you guys!" I said getting frantic. "You guys kidnap me from my party, one that took forever to convince Nathaniel and Emily to even let me have. And you wipe my family and friends memories of me?" Tears sprung into my eyes. "And that stuff you did with your hand. That's gotta be a trick of the light. Have I died? Am I dreaming? Because please, someone wake me up."

"This isn't a dream, and you're certainly not dead." Regila said, her voice not showing any sign of emotion.

"Then what the blazes just happened?! Take me back!" I cried, the tears were threatening to spill.

"We can't do that." She replied in a monotone.

"What do you mean?" I asked, the tears running down my face now.

"Because your guardians were the people who told us about you." Regila said, the pain evident in her hazel eyes.
