Here's another art dump, smaller than the last two since it takes me a while to draw anything nowadays. But the last drawing in this dump I think signals another shift in my style, so I wanna see a more stark contrast between the two. Also, I drew Len a lot more than I realized I did. I mean, he is my main boi?

First up, a character that will never show up in MLD. I really wanted to expand my character design capabilities, so I made my own Reg! Well the term the fandom uses is Aubade, so this is my Aubade Rivet. I have a headcanon where there's multiple kinds of Aubades with Reg's base but different functions. Rivet here was built to be a mining unit, so all his features have to do with that. And his second pair of arms extends out from his back Doctor Octopus style, since drawing a second set of shoulders didn't look as good as I thought.

Here's one of several Lens I've drawn! Yeah, MLD is getting a sequel, and I actually had a different design for him already prepared. But then I did a lot of rethinking and reassessing of how Len's character was evolving as I wrote MLD. His legs are a bit too long in this, but they were even longer in the ref I used. I dunno, I kinda like him like this? I draw different body types, but I know I need to practice with instances where people have longer limbs and stuff than others. But one thing I can agree on is that Len with that style of manbun and also facial hair is amazing, and it really does improve that baby face of his. Then again, the baby face is iconic lol.

Ohhhhh boy, this one. This, ladies and gentlemen and everyone else, is Shiro. Shiro is the name Len was supposed to have before I changed it, and it's now the name of the strand of the will of the Abyss that resides in the bodies of him, all his blood descendants, and is the reason why they're all still alive. This is purely headcanon, but long explanation short: Shiro is everyone's primal capabilities for act like an animal given a consciousness. It can take over Len's body and control it, allowing him to surpass his natural limiters to get out of danger at the cost of hurting himself greatly, but it also forces him to consume anything that's remotely edible to keep the body going from stagnant water to human flesh. It's obviously a really dark thing, but it fits well with MiA's themes of humanity and what makes someone human.

For something slightly more upbeat, here's a design of Len if he were Meguca! Okay, like actually Len becomes a Magical Girl... Boy... Man..? We still haven't decided on the term in the RP, but this is Len's design for when he transforms in the Magia Record and MiA RP I'm doing with my friends. Shiro's actually the reason why Len can be Meguca, Shiro's the reason for a lot of conflict in that RP, actually. But explaining Len's abilities and magic would take too long, so I'll just say Shiro is the one that wished, and Len gained the abilities of Influence and Consumption, though they're definitely not what they seem like from the names alone. The post with this image on the MiA Amino describes Len's abilities in much greater detail.

And finally, here's the bio ref sheet redesign of Llyr! I am so proud of this. I used no references for the pose besides the hand from some art I got of Llyr a while ago, and I finally got his hair right! If the body shape is questionable, there's a reason for that. Llyr is actually FtM trans, but it's never addressed in MLD since the relationship between Len and Llyr stays purely emotional and doesn't become sexual where Llyr as a character would see that information as being relevant, and Llyr doesn't feel comfortable enough to talk to Len about it at that time anyways.
