SUMMARY: The creators of PLL (Pretty Little Liars) created another spin-off series and you play a main character and love interest of Shay Mitchell's character (Emily).
As it leads up to the day where you will film a kissing scene, Shay suggests you two should practice for it...

"Hi, I'm so glad you could make it." Said a very happy Shay Mitchell, leaning in to engulf you into a hug. She then stepped back so you could enter her spacious house.

"I'm sorry that I couldn't get here sooner." You apologised. "But I had some last minute things to tie up."

"That's okay." Shay said, placing a tentative hand on your shoulder. You looked down to the bottle of alcohol in your hands before showing it to Shay. The Canadian gasped and took the beverage from your hands. "This is my favourite!" She exclaimed, bringing you in for another hug.

Shay then excused herself to the kitchen to put the wine away. While you wait, you make yourself comfortable on the couch. When Shay comes back, she holds two glasses and a bottle of champagne.

"Champagne, huh?" You couldn't help but laugh, watching her place the glasses down on the table in front of you.

"Yes!" Shay exclaimed. "I thought it was a great occasion to bring it out." She then popped the bottle open with ease, clearly experienced.

"Ah yes, practicing lines is the perfect time to drink." You spoke with obvious sarcasm.

"Hey! You can't talk, you literally brought me wine." Shay teased, pouring the champagne into the glasses and handing one to you. "Besides, I thought a bit of liquid courage might help us both."

You chuckled, raising your glass for a toast.

She clinked her glass against yours. "To new beginnings and... getting to know our characters better."

The two of you sat back, sipping the effervescent drink and making light conversation. The room was filled with laughter and shared stories of life on and off the set.

As the evening progressed, the conversation turned more personal. You found yourself sharing stories from your past, the dreams you had as a child, and the journey that led you to this point in your career. Shay, in return, opened up about her experiences in the entertainment industry and her passion for the roles she played.

Eventually, the conversation shifted back to the upcoming scene.

"So..." Shay began hesitantly, "About that scene tomorrow."

You felt your cheeks redden slightly. "Right, that."

Shay took a deep breath. "I just thought... if we're going to do it, we might as well make sure it looks authentic. You know, for the sake of our characters and the story."

You nodded in agreement, although a flutter of nerves had begun in your stomach. "Of course. It's our job, after all."

Shay seemed to sense your apprehension. "Look, we don't have to if you're not comfortable. I just thought it would help to, you know, practice a bit beforehand."

You took a moment to collect your thoughts. "No, you're right. It would be better to be prepared. Let's do it."

Shay smiled gratefully. "Thank you."

The two of you shifted closer on the couch, eyes locking. As the gap between you closed, you felt the weight of the moment – a mix of nerves, anticipation, and professionalism. The kiss was soft and tentative at first but grew more assured as you both leaned into it.

When you pulled away, the room was silent, save for the two of you catching your breath. Shay's eyes searched yours for a moment before she broke into a smile. "That... wasn't so bad."

You chuckled, nodding. "Definitely better than I expected."

Both of you shared a knowing glance, realising that tomorrow's scene would undoubtedly benefit from this evening's "practice."
