I am adressing this because what these people from my country did is in no way acceptable and is absolutely disgusting and disrespectful. I am ashamed by the fact, that so many people of my nation are so homophobic. I may not be a part of LGBTQ, but I in no way tolerate violence or discrimination of any kind against them. After all we are all humans and each one of us is free to be who they want to be, whatever sexuality they want to be and whatever gender they want to be. No one has any right to force anyone to be anything they're not.
As I mentioned I am not LGBTQ, so yes I can not understand some things that only LGBTQ community members can understand, but believe me when I say I stand for you and your freedom. LBGTQ+ Community deserves freedom, they should not fear coming out and they should not be discriminated because of their sexuality and gender identity.
What happened earlier in Tbilisi was unforgivable. Homophobic people climbed onto the balcony of Georgia's pride office and took off the pride flags.
I apologize on behalf of my nation. I know I have nothing to with those people, but I can not tolerate people from my own nation acting like that. It really breaks my heart.
