Naya's POV

After an amazing shower I get dressed in flowy black shorts and a dark green sweater. The sweater was barely over my head when there is a knock on the door.

"Come in"

The swings open and Alex pops her head in. "Why are you taking so long?" She rolls her eyes at me.

I only laugh and go back into the bathroom to get my hairdryer. She is so needy and I like it.

Coming back into the room she sits on my bed looking at her phone. She is still wearing her bathing suit but with her shorts and t-shirt over it. This simple thing makes my heart swell.

"The sun is almost going down. I just thought you might want to see it." She says looking at me as I sit down next to her.

"I do, i am almost done." I say plugging in the hairdryer.

"Nooo! Just leave it like that" she says taking the hairdryer away from me.

"I don't want to get sick"

"You won't get sick" she says with a smile. "I like it like this" she runs her hand through my hair and I swear I can sit here all night and let her play with it.

"Fine" i give in and she smiles. I walk to the dresser and get my lotion.

"So how was your beach day?" She says crossing her legs as I sit down again.

"It was amazing, this place is beautiful. It's nice and quiet" i smile. "And this shower is amazing. I could stand there for hours"

"Yeah I know. This is actually my room" she laughs.

"Really? Where do you sleep then?" I ask

"Right across the staircase in the corner is another room. Don't worry I am not sleeping on the floor"

"Why didn't you give me that room then?"

"Because this view is way better" she says looking at the balcony. The view is pretty great but I feel bad.

"You can really sleep here you know. I don't mind" i smile.

"No you are our guest. You should experience everything this place has to offer"

"Oh I wasn't going to sleep in the other room. I am staying in here. I am just saying I won't mind if you sleep in here" i laugh.

Her eyes go wide before she laughs and covers her face. She falls backwards in embarrassment.

I continue putting lotion on my legs when her phone vibrates next to her. I can't help but look and see a Jamie calling her. "Saved by the bell" i say throwing the phone on her stomach.

She picks it up. "Hey Jamie"

"Hey Alex"

I am totally shocked that she would put it on speaker. But she is still layed back on her back holding the phone close enough to her face. "How is your vacation with your dad?" She laughs

"Alex don't even start. I am freezing my ass off here. I fucking hate snow"

"It can't be that bad."

"Well I would rather be there enjoying the waves"

"It was pretty great today. In case you were wondering" she laughs again.

"Thanks bitch. But tell me about this girl you met"

My eyes immediately look back at Alex and she just laughs.

"Is she hot?"

"Yeah she is alright" she says smiling at me. I glare at her and then punch her on her thigh. She mouths ow but then just winks at me.

"Send me a picture I want to see how she looks"

"I don't have a picture of her. She is a very private person"

"Ok rating on the C scale?"

She looks at me. Scanning her eyes over my face and back. "Uhhmm I would say a 5"

"Oh well ok then she is not too bad"

My jaw drops, I am definitely not a five. I hit her again and this time she sits up and grabs my hand before I can hit her again. "A five?" I whisper to her and she covers my mouth to keep quiet.

She takes the phone off speaker. "Oh it was nothing but listen I have to go. I will talk to you later. Ok bye"

I take her hand away. "A fucking five" i laugh.

"I was just joking." She laughs

"What the hell is a C scale?" I ask now actually really offended.

"Can we just go downstairs please?" She whines standing up.

"No tell me" i demand.

She sighs and covers her eyes. "The C scale is your crush scale. So you compare every other girl with your crush"

"Ok so you said I am a five?"

"You really not getting this. Ok. Uhhmm I can't compare you.... to yourself" she blushes with a wide smile.

I bring my hand to my mouth biting my nail. I feel my face heat up.

"And I couldn't say 'this girl' was a ten.... because she will know it's you. There can only be one 10." She says in a sweet slow voice.

"Awwhhhh I am your crush" i laugh mocking her making her feel more embarrassed.

She rolls her eyes. "You just became a 9" she says walking out the door.

"No wait" i run after her but she is already going down the stairs. "Alex wait" i laugh running after her.

"I need someone else for my C scale." She yells as she steps onto the deck where everyone is seated.

"Noo!!" I yell in laughter still inside the house.

"I have a few friends. Let me show you" Lara says already taking out her phone.

"Noo wait. I was joking" i say stepping out on the deck. Alex is standing next to Lara and they both laugh.

"Oh hi honey. Alex finally got you down here" my mother says smiling at me with a glass of wine in her hand.

I look up at Alex and she just smiles. "The sun is going down" she says pointing to the ocean.

"Promise me you won't change it" i say pointing my finger at her trying my best to be serious but her smile makes me melt.

"That is a big promise. I don't think I can make that promise" she says walking towards me.

"Please?" I put on my best pouty face.

"Oh no! You just got downgraded with that face" she says walking past me back into the house.

"I am an 8??!" I yell in disbelief. Everyone just laughs at me.

"She is joking honey just sit down and have a glass of wine" my mother says holding out a glass out to me.

"No wait" i say turning around going after Alex. I walk through the living room "Alex!" I whine.

"What?" I hear her laugh in the kitchen.

I come in and grab her shoulders. "I am sorry. I will be a five just don't replace me on the scale" i pout.

She only laughs and throws her head back and just there I fake cry and rest my forehead on her chest. "Nooo!" I laugh.

I feel her chest as she takes a deep breath. Her laughter has gone silent and my heart rate is beating like a drum. I feel her arms slowly wrap around my back and she pulls me closer to her. I lift my head onto her shoulder and wrap my hands around her neck. I feel her body press tighter against mine and it's the best feeling in the world.

First hug aka best hug ever.

"You will always be on my C scale" she whispers in my ear. I just smile and hug her tighter with a small squeal coming from my throat, unintentionally.

She laughs and I losen my grip but to my surprise she doesn't. Instead she pulls me tighter  "no"

"We are going to miss the sunset" i chuckle a bit but also keep holding on.

"No we won't. Sshhh" she rubs my back and I melt under her touch. I can smell her perfume mixed with the salt water and it's amazing. It's so her.

We hug each other in this comfortable position for a few more seconds but I can stand like this forever.

"Can I braid your hair?"

I laugh at her question because I did not expect that. "Yeah sure"

"Yes" she pulls away and takes my hand. "Let's go watch that sunset"

We both walk outside onto the deck. "I am a ten again" i yell out in excitement but Alex stops and glares at me. "Sorry, sorry" i laugh and she just smiles.

"Did you sleep your way to the top?" My sister laughs.

"I didn't have to" i wink back at her.

Alex shakes her head at Lara but with a grin on her face before she motions for me to sit on one of the chairs that is placed around the fire.

Alex's POV

Naya sits on the chair and I stand behind her. Her father hands her a glass of wine. "Aahh thank you dad. Ok Alex braid away." She says looking up at me.

I run my hands through her hair.

"Do you want a small glass Lex?" My mother asks me but I just shake my head with a small smile.

"Why not?" Lara asks.

"I am not a big drinker." I simply say as I start to braid Naya's hair. She has the most beautiful hair. "And I get really honest when I am drunk"

"Give her the bottle!' Naya yells and I slightly hit her forehead.

"Just drink your own wine and look at the sun."

We all sit in silence and we watch the sun go down. I catch glimpses of it while I am busy with Naya's hair and it is really beautiful but touching Naya right now, even if it's just her hair. That is even better.

I was so focused on her hair that I didn't even listen to the conversation they were having. I made to French braids of her whole head and it looks pretty cool. She wanted too see the whole time because Lara said something the whole time of how cool it looks but I refused. I even had to take both our phones away from her. I know Lara took a photo of me braiding her hair but Naya can't see so that's fine.

Naya's parents and my mother has gone inside to start the food and Jared is busy with the fire.

I get out her phone and take a picture. "There you go Cinderella all done"

"Oh wow that looks amazing. Me next" Lara says loosening her hair.

She takes the phone with a smile and looks at the picture. "Wow shit. I look hot" she blurts out and she is right. She does look hot.

I walk over to Lara and start with hers.

"Where did you learn to braid like this?" Naya asks as she watches me from across the fire.

"Gymnastics" i smile.

"Wow shit you did gymnastics?" Lara asks in shock.

"I still do, sort of but yes" i laugh at her confusion.

"I think we need proof" Naya smirks.

"Yeah" Lara seconds her statement. "Can you do a backflip? Or one of those no hands cartwheels. Or splits....yes do a split"

"We do you need proof. You can just choose to believe me" i laugh.

"No I want to see it" Naya leans back in her chair with a small smile.

"Well then meet me here tomorrow morning at 5am then you can see me do my stretches" i offer.

"5am. No fucking way I will be awake at 5am" Lara laughs. "I like my morning snuggles right baby" she asks kicking Jared on the ass.

"She won't even wake up that early for sex" he laughs.

"No I won't but try me again at 8 then I will ride you like a wild horse baby" she winks.

I only laugh and Naya cringe. Maybe she doesn't like toys. Well that's ok I don't need a toy to make her scream my name. Wow Alex stop.

"Ok seriously are you really a gymnast?" Jared asks with a serious face.

"Yes I am"

"What's your favourite item?" He asks.

"Oohh I don't know. I really like the balance beam and also floor and then of course trampoline. Who doesn't like that?" I explain and he actually understands as for Naya over there. He face is utterly confused.

"What the hell is the balance beam?" Lara ask clearly also lost.

"It's like a foot width bar that you do tricks on" Jared explains to her.

"Ok that's great and stuff but can you just show us something please" Lara insists.

Naya gives me a pouty lip and pretty please .  And how do I say no to that.

"Ok just wait till I am done with your hair" i give in and they both cheer in excitement. "It's not that big of a deal"

After a few minutes I am done with her hair. Naya and I have been stealing glances every few minutes and it maked me blush because she had this cute little smile on her face. I also couldn't help but think about our hug in the kitchen. I didn't want to let go. I just wanted her that close to me the whole time. Her body is so soft and perfect.

"Ok dinner is ready" Mr Rivera comes out and announce.

"No wait Alex is going to do a backflip or something" Lara stops him. "Call mom"

He goes back inside and then she comes out with my mother. "Oh wow look at your hair" she says to both Naya and Lara.

"Right" Naya says in a proud voice. "But not now, Alex is going to do a flip for us"

I roll my eyes and we all walk to the pool are. I take some chairs away for some room. "Ok it's not a full backflip because I didn't stretch" I explain but they just wave it off and wait for me to continue.

I put my feet together and take a deep breath. I make eye contact with Naya in front of me, i give her a small smile and then lift off making three slow handstand backflips next to the pool and land in perfect position.

I make eye contact with Naya again and her mouth is slightly open. Everyone starts to clap and being the over achiever I am I go back again doing three slow handstand front flips landing in the same place I started.

Everyone cheers and claps and I bend down in acceptance. "Do you believe me now?"

"Oh my gosh yes. That was amazing" Naya smiles and it makes me blush. It's the best feeling in the world when you impress your crush.

While we eat an amazing pasta dish and a salad I moved closer to Naya sneaked my hand to the side of her leg, just wanted some sort of contact with her. I don't know where this is all coming from. Where the hell did I get all this confidence. She is just as shocked as I am and I quickly took my hand away blushing hard. There was no need to hide it but we aren't....well we are something I just don't know where we stand. I feel it's ok with giving her some sort of affection. I mean I really want to touch her I just don't know if she wants me too, do I make her feel uncomfortable.

I sit there facepalming myself, maybe I took it too far. But then I feel her hand reaching out for mine that is placed in my lap. My heart beat faster as she takes my hand back to her tigh and this time not just the side.... fully on top of her bare thigh. I think my heart is going to explode. She only takes her hand away and continue to eat and join the conversation, I have totally zoned out from the discussion a long time ago.

Right now my hand was resting on Naya's thigh and I can feel the heat coming from her skin, probably a little sunburned. I tried to eat as slowly as possible, not wanting to end this moment. Is this a sign that she likes my affection? Is this the all clear moment?

I will take that as a yes...

We sat around the dining table for almost 2 hours, just talking about all kinds of things. It was amazing to see us all just getting along. I was worried my mom would feel left out but I was so wrong, she seems so happy and enjoying herself. She and Naya's mom are getting along so well.

After a while a get that familiar feeling, the feeling of a storm coming. I don't know why but I can sense when it's going to rain. I felt something this afternoon but I thought it might be butterflies because of our intense hugging moment in the kitchen but now even with my hand in her lap while she plays with my finger and tracing patterns in my palm. I can feel it.

"Uhm, I am gonna go shower before the storm hits us" i say standing up. Instantly missing Naya's touch.

"What storm?" She asks me.

"There is one coming from the ocean. I can feel it" i smile.

"Oh if there is one coming then I am heading for bed. I am tired anyway" Lara says also standing up with Jared.

"Yeah us too" her parents agree.

Everybody stands up except for Naya. "Come on it's only 10pm. I am not even tired yet"

"Some of us didn't sleep till noon this morning sis" Lara says giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Good night everyone" Lara and Jared says before they head upstairs.

"Just go relax honey. Watch a movie or something. You will probably fall asleep within 10 minutes. " Her parents say also saying goodnight.

"Good night you guys" my mom says and they all leave.

"Come on" i pull her up from her chair. "You fall asleep I promise"

I lead her up the stairs to her room but stop at the door as she goes inside. "Fine. But can we please talk tomorrow?"

"I would love too" i smile.

"Thank you. I will stalk you on Instagram to help me fall asleep" she winks.

"Ooh I have a stalker" i smirk.

"Yes you do" she laughs.

"Good night Naya"

"Good night Alex, enjoy your shower" she smiles.

I grab the door handle to shut it. "Oh I definitely will" i laugh closing the door just as she opens her mouth to say something.
