I felt Vince freeze beneath my touch, his hands on my waist halting me from further kissing him. Nag-angat ako ng tingin sa kaniya at hindi ko maiwasang mapangiti sa kaniyang reaksyon. There was a moment of silence between us, para bang pareho naming ninanamnam ang mga salitang iyon. I could see the emotions swirling in Vince's eyes, naroon ang pagkamangha, ang labis na pagmamahal, and of course, the affection he had toward me.

"Mahal mo nga ako?" Ngumisi siya, hinaplos ang aking pisngi. Lalo siyang napangiti nang paulit-ulit akong tumango. "Oh, Nicole. Alam ko naman, nararamdaman ko naman. Pero iba pa rin pala kapag sinabi at kinumpirma mo."

I reached out and gently placed a finger against his lips, silencing him with a tender gesture. "What I feel for you is real, Vince. It's genuine, and it's all-consuming."

Vince's eyes softened at my words, a glimmer of hope flickering in their depths. Slowly, hesitantly, he reached out and cupped my face in his hands, his touch gentle yet possessive. "Sa'kin ka na? Sa'kin ka lang?"
