CHAPTER - 7 - My new roommate
Blaire's P.O.V
I drove to school earlier that day and went to Ms Sloane's office.
“I have new accommodations here in the hostel,” I informed her as I extended a card towards her.
“Yeah, Ms Willy,” she replied politely.
“Here's your card,” she added.
She handed over the keycard to me. Room no. 390 was etched on it in silver-coloured 3D letters.
“Your room is in the 300's hall, please find it yourself,” she said smiling up at me.
I ran across the quad to the accommodation building and was relieved as the cool sensation of the air-conditioner greeted my presence. I was bombed out as I took in the luxurious features of the hostel. It was as if I'm staying over in some hotel.
I took the escalator and went through each floor finding room 390. At last, I succeeded, thank god I didn't have to go through the whole building, further much the other one. I swiped my card to enter the room. I didn't know what awaited me. Pushing the door open, I stepped inside.
To be honest, it was marvellous. I had never seen such a wonderful dorm room. Two beds, two cupboards, two study-tables with a laptop on each one of them and a book-self accompanying it. Large bay windows filtering light inside make the yellow wallpaper of the room much more bright. The front wall featured a giant TV and a nice fluffy couch sat facing it. I glanced around the room in wonder and plopped down on the first bed.
That meant I have a roommate, 'cause everything there was two in number. I stared at the ceiling when I heard the sound of the clicking of a door. I stared at the front door in amusement, eagerly waiting for my roommate to be revealed while a guy suddenly stepped out from the bathroom, wearing a towel.
"You?" We blurted out in unison.
Our eyes widened in disbelief and shock. He stood there in his towel, water dripping down from his chest. His perfectly shaped muscles and wet hairs made him more of a prominent man. I stared at him and gulped down each and every detail.
“So you are my new roommate huh?” Christian asked.
I remained silent and then it appeared to me that Christian Woods; Mr Christian freaking Woods was gonna be my roommate. I covered my face with my hands, strictly denying to look at his almost nude structure anymore.
“Yeah. I mean I shifted in the dorm today only and Ms Sloane gave me the card of this room,” I mumbled out.
“Okay. That's cool. A girl roommate huh....this is gonna be fun,” I could hear him chuckle.
“Remove your hands, Blaire. You're overreacting,” he said chuckling.
“Like, seriously?” I finally mutter.
He pulled on a t-shirt and track pants and continued to stride in my direction with a devil smirk plastered to his face. I stared at him in confusion. My body tensed up with his every step forward.
He stood in front of me, leaned closer to my face and whispered, “This is my bed beautiful, just get on yours until and unless...,” I froze, with him being so damn close.
Immediately, I crawled backwards and leapt out of his bed.

“Hey, I'm bored,” I muttered almost after an hour when all my candy crush lives were used.
He didn't reply and gazed intently on his phone.
“Hey,” I yelled, trying to seek his attention.
“What Willy?” He said irritatingly.
“I am bored,” I said sheepishly.
“So?” he snapped back-arching an eyebrow.
“Wanna play video games, Willy?” he asked pointing at the large flat-screen TV on the wall.
“No,” I said with pouty lips.
“Please please please, sugar,” he pleaded with glittering eyes.
“Well, do you come up with new names every second?”
“For you, baby doll,” he flirted back and I rolled my eyes.
We played video games for an hour or so when at last it displayed, ‘Victory’
“woohoo...I win. na nana nana na...” I chirped teasingly, poking my tongue out.
“That was clearly cheating,” he said with a grumpy face.
“It's totally unfair,” he added further.
“It's undeniably fair,” I argued back, sticking my tongue out at him.
“No it's not,” he declared.
“No,”
“Yes,” I teased.
“Is it really so?” he asked looking at me with narrowed eyes, arching an eyebrow and suddenly tickling me. My ticklish sensation kicked in and I started laughing my heart out.
“Okay 'kay stop please,” I pleaded, tears escaping the corner of my eyes.
“please please....”
“let's go for another round,” I declared and he paused his fingers.
For a moment or two, I was driven back into the past. Back into my childhood memories. I had a friend, someone very close to my heart who had this very habit. Whenever he lost any battle or argument, he used to jump over me and would start to tickle me until I requested him and surrendered.

I opened my sleepy eyes to find myself on the bed, I looked up at the time to notice that it's 3:30 in the daybreak. Christian was also nowhere to be seen. Where's he? I sat upright and checked my phone, and began playing minions rush. Suddenly a knock at the door distracted me.
“Sugar bun?” a voice called out. I opened the door to find Christian standing with all my luggage.
“Woah, there there man, Where did you get all these?” I asked curiously.
“Your dad came to drop these pieces of stuff and I carried it here. That's it," he declared posing with his hands on his waist.
My phone vibrated, displaying a message from dad, “Princess, I hope you received your luggage. I already left for my work and would surely return by Halloween. Please check on with your mom once, she already had a long lectured session on me for leaving you alone. Take care champ.”
I smiled at the message and instantly replied, “Aye Aye, captain!”
I dialled up mom's number, “Hey there,” I said cheerfully.
“Hey sweetheart, how are you? Are you okay? Can you handle living alone?” she asked in a concerned voice.
“I am all alright momma. Everything is awesome here, teachers, friends, faculty, infrastructure...everything...,”
“And me -- ,” Christian mouthed, pointing at himself and I just rolled my eyes to that.
“Moreover I'm not alone mom, I'm with my friends. Please don't be worried and please don't take stress,” I calmed her down.
My stomach grumbled in hunger. “Mom, can I catch up with you later?”
“Yeah sweetheart, take care,” she said and the call hung up.
“Hungry? Lunch?” Christian asked, propping his head up in excitement.
“Yeah yeah,” I surrendered.
“Let's go,” he said, extending a hand. I accepted it and he grinned widely, as I let out a soft giggle.
We sat on a table eating pasta and salad.
“You are a lot different person but you seemed so different just two days ago. What's this all about?”
“The Christian you saw two days ago was me, but the Christian you are seeing now is the one for you, my highness,” he exclaimed.
“Good joke,” I said as I posed a peal of false laughter.
“Surely not a joke yet to my pleasure,” Christian said, giving a lopsided smile.

I flipped a page of the English text of Troilus and Cressida.
“Hey, would you mind tutoring English to this devilishly handsome roommate of yours?”
“Umm... sorry but I can't find someone 'devilishly handsome' in here,” I claimed, stifling my laughter.
Both of us knew that it was a false statement, I mean yeah he was so god damn perfect piece of art but why would I admit that and boost his ego?
He narrowed his eyes at me yet his lips gave me his signature smirk.
“Oh, come on! I know you are just kidding.”
I rolled my eyes saying, “I thought you wanted to study but I think I should consider my decisions once,”
“No, wait,” He cut me off and landed on my bed with his books
We went through the text, highlighted important points and took breaks in between. We sat for making questions while I noticed Christian's head drooping.
“Hey, ‘my devilishly handsome roommate’, get back to study,” I commanded to bring him into attention.
