Chapter Three

Okay guys, just a heads up that I skipped ahead a half hour or so to where you found Snowdin....

You sighed, your (h/c) hair blew in your face thanks to the wind and you had to push it back out of the way again. You looked around the small town of Snowdin, it had a bar and a library, a few houses and other buildings that dotted the area. Nothing looked too interesting so you just shrugged and walked over to a bench that sat out in the open.(A/N I know there isn't really a bench in Snowdin but it's there for the sake of the story) Sitting down, you pulled your black hood over your head and crossed your legs, trying to stay warm. You were afraid of asking for help because it made you seem weak, and you knew that would be very bad for you to seem weak. The bench was a dark green color, and made out of wood, probably from the many trees you had passed along the way. You shivered and muzzled further into your jacket, the snow piling up on the bench, which you had to wipe off.

You felt a hand rest on your shoulder, you jumped and quickly drew your weapon. "Try anything and you will be dust!" you snapped at the person who touched you. "Careful there... I was just seein' if you were okay." a strange male voice spoke, you looked up to see a dude made of fire and you looked at him confused. You scoffed, "Look dude-", "Grillby." he cut you off, "Yeah, whatever.... I'm fine and I don't need help." you continued. He looked at you with an 'oh really?' look, "It looks to me that you're about to freeze to death. But if you don't want to come inside then that's fine by me." he turned around and started walking towards the nearby bar. You looked up at it, or more specifically the sign that read "Grillby's". "That your bar?" you asked with a raised eyebrow, Grillby stopped walking and looked back at you, "Yeah." he said and walked inside. You reluctantly got up from the bench, your butt was freezing and you really wanted to get warm, so you walked over to the bar entrance and went in.

The bar was full of monsters, a lot of them had shiny armor on and were sitting in the one corner. One of them was a girl fish monster that Toriel had told you was named "Undyne", she was the head of the Royal guard and was very strong. There were a few dogs that were sitting with her, but one of them didn't have armor and was arm wrestling Undyne. Undyne had blue skin and long red hair tied up in a ponytail, this showed her yellow eye and the other one covered with an eyepatch and her big sharp toothed grin. You watched them arm wrestle for a few minutes, when Undyne won you turned away and walked over to the counter that Grillby was standing at. You sat down on one of the stools and set your head on the counter, "So you didn't die. Shocker." you heard Grillby say from behind the counter. You just groaned in response and pulled out your knife again, "I won't hesitate." you threatened and Grillby stayed quiet as he cleaned a glass cup.

You heard yelling behind you and saw the Royal Guards were fighting, you just shrugged since you didn't really care about what they did. As you watched them fight, you noticed monster looking at your tail, this monster was a tall skeleton with a confusing outfit... (A/N I had to put a picture cause I'm too lazy to describe it)

You locked eye contact with him after he had noticed you saw him, you growled at him and he looked at you with narrowed eyes. "What?! Never seen a monster with a tail before?!" You snapped at him and rose your voice, gaining the attention of almost everyone there. The tall skeleton laughed, "I have. Just not like you." he said the last part like it was an insult, but Undyne got up from where she say and walked over to the skeleton. "This punk giving you trouble Papyrus?" she asked and glared at you, you glared back and scoffed before turning away and setting your head back down on the counter. "No Undyne. I was just about to leave." he spoke rather calmly but still had that 'I'll kill you' sound as you heard him stomp out of Grillby's. You watched Grillby serve people food for a while until you got bored, "I'm leaving." you stated and got up from where you sat at the bar counter. Grillby looked at you with a confused look, "You got a place to stay?" he asked, you shrugged and shoved your hands in your pockets. "Like I said before, I don't need help if that's where you're going with this." You gave him an annoyed look and pulled your hood up over your head before leaving the place.

The snow had stopped falling and the wind wasn't as bad now, but you still got cold rather quickly as you sat down on the bench you had before. You sighed and just sat there, looking up at the roof of the cave and the fake stars that glowed. You could hear footsteps coming towards you do you readied your knife, "Hey sweetheart. Got that knife still?" you heard the familiar voice of Sans speak. You looked up and saw him stand in in front of you with his toothy grin, "Yeah. So what?" you gave him a blank look and he shrugged, "Looks like ya need a place to stay." he stated. You were confused, "So?", he looked around for a moment, "Maybe you could stay with me and my brother.". You thought for a second, "That's nice of you.... What do you want?" you glared at him, "Was just trying to he nice. You don't look like the kind of monster that can survive the cold." he pointed at your shivering figure and you sighed in defeat. "Fine. I'll take your offer, but get any ideas and I will make sure you turn to dust." you still held out your knife but made sure he saw it was there. Sans chuckled, "Why do you even have a knife? It won't be of any good use around here." he looked down at your weapon and smiled. Your gaze softened, you kinda liked the skeleton, he seemed pretty chill compared to the other monsters you had met. "Are anyother monsters like you?" you asked Sans, he shook his head, "Sadly no. I'm the only one like me. All the others would kill you just for getting on their nerves, so I'd watch your mouth." he smirked as he shoved his hands into his pockets. You looked at the ground, suddenly feeling self-conscious about anything and everything, you shivered as a gust of wind blew your (h/c) hair into your face. Sans chuckled again, he took a hand out of his pocket and pushed the hair out of your face, you felt your cheeks heat up and saw his tint a light shade of red.

"You cold?" he asked with a smirk, you nodded your head and blushed. "I've got something that can warm you up." his smirk grew wider. He grabbed your arm, "Close your eyes." he instructed and you listened, you felt the ground beneath you disappear and then reappear a moment later. When you opened your eyes you found yourself in a kitchen, it was a nice red kitchen and it had black marble counters. Sans let go of your arm and walked away, after a few minutes he came back with a cup of hot chocolate and handed it to you. (A/N What did you think he was going to do? Get your mind out of the gutter.) You thanked him and gladly took the warm cup, "I presume this is your house?" you asked and looked around the room but found nothing interesting. Sans shrugged, "Yeah. But I'm not the one that really owns the place." he walked out of the kitchen, you followed and saw him flop onto a couch. You slowly and awkwardly made your way over to the couch and sat down beside the short skeleton, "So..... Uh....." you didn't really know what to talk about and found yourself lost for words.

Sans reached over to a small table and picked up the TV remote, he clicked it and the TV turned on, showing a movie with a robot in it. "What kind of monster are you?" Sans asked randomly, you sipped your hot chocolate and thought. "I..... I don't really know." you looked down at your relfection in the brown liquid, Sans looked at you puzzled. He didn't look away from you for a moment before he spoke, "How can you not know? What about your parents? Haven't they ever told you?" he tilted his head slightly. You sighed sadly and shook your head, "I-I never knew my father. And my mother died when I was young." you hid your face in your hood. Sans looked at you thoughtfully, "Mind standing?" he asked, you shook your head and stood up so he could look at you. His eyes landed on your tail and you blushed, "Ummmm.... Can you not? I'm self-conscious about my tail." you tried to get his attention and he instantly looked away in embarrassment. "S-sorry. Ive just never seen a monster that looks like you." he started to sweat and rubbed the back of his skull. You nodded, "It's okay. But there is more to see than just this." You smirked, Sans blushed as his mind thought of something else. You caught on and gasped, "HEY! THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!" you rose your voice at him, he flinched and chuckled nervously. "I don't understand." He said awkwardly, you smiled and in a puff of smoke you let your full horns and your wings come out. He looked at you in awe, "Wow. I've never seen that before." he looked away and got lost in thought. You cleared your throat and his attention snapped back to you, "Sorry." he apologized. You nodded, "So you can hide your full horns and wings?" he asked, you gave him an "Mhm." and he looked away again. "I have four- I mean three forms." You tried to catch yourself and wondered if he had heard you, which he did and gave you a confused look. "Four? Can you show me them?... All?" he asked, you gulped, knowing what you had just gotten yourself into. You switched out your full horns for your nubs, put your tail and wings away, and waited for Sans' reaction. He didn't say anything and was waiting for your last form, you sighed and hid your horn nubs, you looked completely like a human without your monster features. Sans stood up and summoned a sharp bone as he watched you, his right eye blazed a bright red, "W-WAIT! SANS DON'T!" you held out your hands and tried to reason with him. His expression was dark, he looked mad but also a bit hurt, "Y-you're... Part human? Why? How?" he stuttered. You held onto your arm, "I'm the descendent of the only monster to survive on the surface." you tried to explain and you started to cry. "I.... I don't want to die. Please don't k-kill me." your tears ran down your cheeks and you fell on your knees, begging the only decent monster you knew to spare you. Sans sighed, "Im not going to hurt you. But if my bro finds out he wouldn't hesitate to kill you where you stand." he admitted, the bone disappeared and his eye went back to normal. You let your tail and horn nubs out and you stood back up and wiped away the tears that stained your face, "I have no where to go. And I don't know what to do." you looked at Sans with pleading eyes. He groaned, "Like I said before, you can stay here. But I have a few conditions you have to follow." Sans facepalmed, you nodded. "One: you have to keep at least your horns out. Two: be careful with that knife of yours. And three: don't get on Papyrus' nerves. Got it?" Sans looked at you with a serious expression and you nodded. "Okay." you said and fixed your hoodie, "Thank you Sans." you looked at him with a weak smile. "No problem sweetheart." he smiled back, "We just have to see if Papyrus will let you stay as well." he looked a little nervous and put his hands back in his pockets.

So I'm going to stop it here. What did you think? Any suggestions for what should happen? Would you like a lemon? I hope you guys liked it!
