Chapter One
You couldn't remember what happend, just that you tripped and something hurt. Your limbs felt stiff and a sharp pain hit your head as you slowly gained consciousness. A cold breeze ruffled the rotting yellow flowers that you had fallen on, making their smell just that bit stronger. You slowly opened your eyes, 'What happened?' you thought to yourself. 'Did I die? No. I can't be dead. This doesn't look like heaven, or hell. Then where am I?' you shakily pushed yourself up onto your knees with your sore, bruised, and slightly bloody arms. Your black leggings were slightly ripped and your white shirt was covered in dirt as well as your red plaid jacket. A sigh escaped your mouth as you felt a warm subatance run down your knee. The smell of rot caused you to gag and make your way onto your feet, which was surprisingly difficult due to your bleeding knee. After gathering your thoughts on your surroundings, you decided it was best to look for some help. You started walking slowly, and tripping, into the darkness and maze of tunnels that lay ahead of you. On your way you found a single yellow flower; it had a face and seemed to be alive. "Howdy!" It spoke, which startled you so much that when you stepped back in surprise you fell on your butt. A short laugh was heard from the flower, you turned your attention from your sore butt to the thing that caused you to fall. "What was that for?!" You rose your voice and the flower's laughing expression changed to a concerned and slightly afraid look. "I didn't mean to scare you! I'm sorry." His voice was soft like a child's, this made you feel mad at yourself for being rude. You sighed and stood back up, "No. I shouldn't have been so mean. I'm (y/n)." You say, taking a few steps towards the flower, bending down, and holding out your hand. A smile spread across his 'face', "I'm Flowey! Flowey the flower! Wanna be friends? I've never seen a human before." He shook your hand with one of his vines as a smile appeared on your face as well. You had a sudden urge to protect this kind little flower with all of your heart. But it had just occurred to you that your wings, tail, and horns were still hidden. "I would love to be your friend. But I'm no human." You kindly corrected Flowey and your (e/c) eyes flashed warmly. Flowey tilted his head confused, using one of his vines he scratch the top of his head and gave a questioning "Hm?" before examining you. A smirk crept onto your face, you snorted quite un-lady-like, and stood up to back away from Flowey. Before Flowey had a chance to ask what you were doing, you started to glow red and your horns and tail and wings appeared in smoke. When the smoke cleared you saw Flowey with a gaping jaw and an amazed look. "You're a monster?! But how?!" He asked loudly and confused, never did his expression change. You giggled and twirled around so he could see your full form, his eyes landed on your tail and he blushed slightly. "Hey! Don't you know it's rude to stair at people's tails?" You blushed, reaching for your tail as you weirdly started petting it. Flowey's eyes grew wide and he ducked his head down in embarrassment, "I'M SORRY! I DIDN'T MEAN TO!" he apologized and shook his head to clear his thoughts.

Flowey looked around to see if any other monsters were around, "So you're telling me that ONE monster survived the war and had a family with a human? And that you are a descendant of her?" Flowey questioned, "Mhm! You got it." you proudly nodded your head and looked around. Your stomach growled loudly and you quickly swung your arms around you as if holding your belly in place. Flowey laughed, "I guess you're hungry. Come with me, I have a friend who can help you with that." his smirk was a little unsettling, but you got up onto your feet and followed the flower through the ruins. It wasn't long before you came across a small door, the door looked old and a little creepy. Flowey made his way up to the door and knocked hard, the knock echoed through the ruins. Flowey quickly turned back around and looked at you, "Now Toriel can be a little over protective... Just say you are there for some food and rest. And DON'T forget to keep your horns and tail out!" he told you before disappearing into the ground when the door slightly creaked open. You quickly made your horns smaller and your wings disappear before looked up at Flowey's 'friend'. "Hello child. How may I help you?" The goat lady named Toriel asked politely as she eyed you up and down suspiciously. You gulped, "I'm just passing through. I am in need of some rest and-" you were cut off as your stomach growled loudly again. You sighed and chuckled nervously, Toriel looked at you seriously for a moment before bursting out in laughter. "And food I'm guessing. Well come on in, you may stay here for a while." She slowly stopped laughing, but a smile never leaving her fuzzy white face as she gestured you into the house. Toriel stepped out of the way, you walked through the door and into a nice warm living room, the smell of warm pie making your mouth water. Behind you, Toriel closed the door and locked it, this caused you to get a little nervous but that didn't stop you from looking around. "Would you like some pie dear? It's fresh." Toriel asked you, you were busy looking at an old book but turned your attention towards her and nodded in reply. Toriel walked into the nearby kitchen as you walked over to a nice wooden rocking chair by a fire place and sat down. A few moments later you heard Toriel walking back towards you, this time the smell of pie was stronger and you could already taste it when the plate was given to you. "Thank you miss." You dipped your head politely and the Toriel smiled warmly, "You are quite welcome. I'm Toriel. You can just call me Tori." she spoke softly. You thought for a moment, "I'm (y/n)." you answered before scooping up a big blob of pie and shoving it hungrily into your mouth. Tori chuckled, "You're not from here are you? You are much too kind." she questioned, her puzzlement replacing her caring expression. You swallowed, "You're right, I'm not from here. I'm from..." you pointed up with your free hand and found yourself explaining your backstory again.
Tori nodded, understanding what you were saying, "You are very special my child. But I do not think you should stay here. It is far too dangerous to stay in one place for long." she sighed, a tear fell down her cheek. You looked at her with sad (e/c) eyes, "Why? I don't know what to expect out there." you started to worry about what could be so dangerous that Tori would warn you about. Toriel thought for a moment, her hand holding her chin as she thought of a reply. "Well... I can teach you some basic things you would need to know in order to survive." she finally replied, but her answer made you worry more. "Do not be afraid child. You can stay here for a while longer." Toriel reassured you as you finished up the pie with one more spoonful.

Toriel had just showed you to the room you would be staying in. It had nice light red wallpaper and a wooden floor, along with a wardrobe, a small bookshelf, and a comfy looking bed. You sprinted from the door way into the room and flopped on the bed, you let out a lazy sigh and yawned. Toriel looked at you one last time, "Goodnight child. Tomorrow we train." she smiled and closed the room door as she left. You yawned again, letting your guard down you crawled under the also red covers and drifted off into a deep and well earned sleep.
I'm going to leave it here. How did you like it? If you have any suggestions or questions please comment them!
