Happy New Year Sunshines!

Hope you had a wonderful break :) I have just been to the beach for a week and it was lovely (Southern Hemisphere = warm Christmas).

I have finally figured it out and there will be two chapters left :( But not to worry with the conclusion of this story will be the start if another....Marauders One Shots! Yahoo!

Scorpius

His leg jiggled and his fingers fiddled as nerves shook his body. He could barely see Min, Lorcan and Tiffany from here, only the silhouettes of their bodies in the wane light. The creaking of the house only added to the tense atmosphere.

Only yesterday he was feeling helpless and seeing no solution to their problem. Then Lorcan had thought of branching out to other people and asking for help and that had been the key to their success.

Now they waited for those said people to arrive. Scorpius had never been so impatient in all his life as in that moment. If this was successful he would get to see his two best friends again.

A crack from apparition split the silence. Like a crocodile hunting it's prey Min rose from her set and padded light footed to the dining room door. She peeked her head out and squealed.

"Ted! Viccy!" She disappeared in a flash of silver blonde. Voices and laughter could be heard. Shoes clacked on the wooden floor and Min returned followed by a stunning couple. The first was a girl almost identical to Min, but with short wavy hair. Her hand was linked to a devilishly handsome guy with bright blue hair.

"Oh so these are the other adventurers. Tell me, what made you stupid enough to trust my sister in law?" Teddy Lupin grinned down at them.

"Oh hush" Victorie Weasley whacked her fiancé in the chest before coming and embracing Scorpius. "Nice to see you again! It's been too long since you visited. Oh and I don't think I have been introduced to these two." Tiffany and Lorcan stood to shake hands with the couple.

Teddy flicked his wand and the room lit up. "Better" he mused, swinging into a seat. Then he grabbed an unexpecting Victorie around the waist and pulled her onto his lap.

"Oi" she turned to slap him but ended up coming in for a snog. Scorpius averted his eyes awkwardly.

With another crack came James Potter at that second, apparating right onto the table. "Wassup. And if you don't stop kissing you're going to pass out" he added in their direction. Sliding off the table he eyed Scorpius.

"So this is Rosie's new flavour. Must say Malfoy, I'm surprised. However I won't kick your butt for her sake. Nice to see you by the way." They shook hands and he greeted the others.

Lastly a pretty high ponytailed dreadlocked girl strolled into the room. Everyone watched as she slumped into a seat and kicked her doc martens up onto the table.

"James, Vic, Ted, Dom, people I don't know, nice to see ya. I'm Roxanne Weasley for the latter and I'm gonna get my cousins sorry asses out of capture if it's the last thing I do. And maybe kick some more asses on the way. Any objections or can I get down to business?" Her very presence radiated scary but cool. Scorpius instantly was in awe of her.

James raised a hand and drawled. "You look hot today Roxy may I say." He winked jokingly.

She scrunched up her nose. "I'm your cousin twat. Stop mucking around or you're leaving."

All nonsense dealt with she stop up and placed a map and a device on the table.

"So this is obviously a map of Dover. The red cross is us. The green cross is where our captives are being held. We know this thanks to the tracking decide Albus thought to put on him before he was kidnapped. Now we're going to need to do a round route of town before descending down to the entrance. Then we break in get them back and leave. Questions?"

Tiffany raised a hand, looking sceptical. "Are they being held in the White Cliffs? And are we going in blind?"

"Yes and we're going to have to scale them by rock climbing. Don't worry I'll belay you down myself. Personal instructions and gear will be distributed and memorised. Anything else?"

"Just wondering what that is" Lorcan asked. Everybody leaned forward as Roxanne lifted up the device; a screen with a zig zag wire coming from the top and a mini satellite on top of that.

"This is a product developed by my Dad which allows the user to imitate any voice. You speak into it and say the name of the person. Once the scanner has found the name say what you want them to say and presto, voice imitated."

They all gaped at it. "How do you get the voices?" Victorie wondered.

"Every seven years you all know there is a Wizard Census. As part of that you have to do voice recordings so if someone is impersonating you under the polyjuice potion to try and say take money from your bank, they can check your voice and will know. The device hacks into the records and retrieves the voice ready to use."

Scorpius was gobsmacked. That would have taken a lot of time and money. The Weasleys must be dedicated - if he had underestimated them before he wouldn't now. That made him even more scared for meet the parents night. If it ever happened.

"Well" Teddy eased Victorie off the chair then stood himself with a grin. "To quote Rox - let's kick ass."
