Hey guys! I wanted to write something for a while so I started brain storming and this is what I came up with! Hope you like it!
~Third Person~
The boy sat in his chair, as usual, reading the morning paper. As he was doing this, his Butler came in. "You called, My Lord?" The boy looked up "Yes, take a look at this." He pointed at an article in the paper showing a picture of a girl covering her face with her hand and walking away. The butler looked over the article for a bit and then raised an eyebrow. "'Predicting death' hmm?"
"Yes, I would like to have a look at this 'fortune teller'" the boy says and rests his head on his knuckles. "Yes, My Lord. Today, I assume?"
"Yes."
"Very good, My Lord. I shall order a carriage." With that, the butler walked out and the boy went back to work.
~First Person~
My name is Hannah, Hannah Freemen. People call me a fortune teller, so that is what I call myself as well. People come and pay me to tell them if they are in love, if they are going to die soon, and other small things. I never like it when people ask me to tell them when they die, it's not very fun. But if they insist, I tell them. I'd been getting a lot of publicity lately, the public was going wild over my "gift". Good thing I can only see auras when I focus, otherwise, I would be near madness. I started doing this, but I didn't think it would get me in this much trouble. They didn't really react as I planed. In fact it was worse, way worse! I think they understand that but... You don't understand, do you? Let me take you back to the beginning:
~Two Weeks Earlier~
"Tell me, fortune teller! I must know!" The man shouted, demanding information. "Please, sir! I don't want to tell you. It's really quite unsettling to me and it will be to you." The man gritted his teeth and he stood up and slammed his fists on the table, making me jump. I saw a boy walk up with a tall man with dark clothes and jet black hair. I squinted my eyes and tried to focus on their spotlights, but I was quickly interrupted by the man once again. "Tell me how and when I will die!" he yelled. His wife that sat next to him, crying, pleaded him to calm down and told him she didn't want to know. I stood up, trying to keep my composure. I sigh sadly. "You will die of an illness. Life may be prolonged with medical care, but death by it is inevitable..." My voice trailed off. The women cried hard. "No wait, please don't cry! It won't be for a while now, you have a long life ahead with each-other." The man sat back down and held her hand reassuringly. "If you speak the truth, we shall live as long as we can with one another, happily." They stand up and I smile. "Yes, you will. Goodbye, feel free to come again."
They leave, the woman holding his arm, tears still falling, but I knew they would be okay. "Please, come in." I motion the boy and the taller man in. The tall man opened the door for the boy and he stepped in. He had an eye-patch? At such a young age, to... I wonder what happened. "Two shillings, please." I say holding out a hat that had money inside. The boy looks at the man and he reaches in his coat and takes out two shillings and drops it in the hat. "Please sit down. May I ask your names." The boy sat down but the other stood. "I am the Earl of Phantomhive, Ciel Phantomhive. This is my butler Sebastian." My eyes widen a little. "An Earl at such a young age? Interesting." I sit down. "If you will be patient, I will look at your souls. Please try to relax and open yourself up."
I saw Ciel relaxed a little. I rested my head on my hands and focused on him for bit, and then I see him light up with a blueish white, with red on the outside. I got slightly confused. This meant he was about to die, or death was already determined. And he is not in love, why is there red? It's suppose to be on the inside. He looked at me confused. "You... are quite interesting, My Lord." He raised an eyebrow. "You are going to die, I can not see when. But I see how... How tragic." Ciel sat up straighter and looked at Sebastian. "Also, your soul is bonded with someone else." He looked at me blankly as if he was thinking. "I can tell you more. You are a natural leader, strong, hate admitting you are not capable of tasks. You don't see a future to your life, you have one goal." He nodded and then looked at Sebastian. "Sebastian, your opinion?" He looked at him. "Correct overall, if you don't mind me saying, My Lord."
Ciel then smirked and then looked at me. "Can you do Sebastian, as well?" I nod. "I've only rarely not been able to see someones soul." I look at him and I take moment to look over him. He looked a little older than me, very handsome, red eyes? Something told me he would be difficult to do. "Alright." I start focusing a little, and then a lot, and I still didn't see anything. I sighed and focused so much I got a head ache. That's when I saw it. A dark cloud surrounding him, some purple visible at some point, red surrounding it, connecting with Ciel's soul. "What the..." My voice trailed off. Ciel looked at me. "What?" I shake my head slowly. "Nothing, My Lord." I can't tell this child that his butler isn't human! Not in front of him anyway! I rubbed my head to relive the pain.
"Are you alright, miss?" Sebastian asked. "I'm fine, it's just a headache." Ciel looked at me. "If I may ask, how do you do it?" I looked at him through my arms. "I don't know. I've always been able to see things. It just takes more focus sometimes." Ciel nodded and then stood up. "I am very impressed." I smiled and blushed in embarrassment a little. "Thank you, My lord."
~Third Person~
Sebastian was quite impressed, but dissatisfied that she did not try to tell me or his Young Master that he was not human. She kept glancing at him ever so briefly every now and then while talking to the Earl. She was screaming in her mind, trying to figure out how she was going to tell him. Ciel grew a little bored but wanted to see more of Hannah and see what she would do. He knew that she knew Sebastian was not human but wanted to see how it would end.
Ciel stood up and bowed "Thank you so much." She stood up after and bowed briefly. "It's really no problem at all, My Lord. Please, come again." She smiled and showed them out. When they walked out the door, and the door closed, Ciels face changed. "Sebastian, I want her at the manor. I want to know if she is human, and if she is dangerous." Sebastian bowed "Yes, My Lord." He said smirking and they both walked away on the pavement that covered London, painted in white by winter.
