Chapter 1

Thoughts swirled through Percy's head. He heard voices around him, and he knew they had to be close, but they seemed so far away. There was always a constant presence by his side. He didn't know who it was, but they were always holding his hand, brushing his hair out of his face, kissing his forehead, his cheek, begging him to wake up. Sometimes they would mutter something that he couldn't hear. Generally, he could always make out the words 'Seaweed Brain'.

He wanted to wake up so badly, just so he could make the person that was always with him happy, to grant the wish they'd been asking for, to stop the pain laced in their words.

Occasionally, Percy would hear bits of conversation that he would attempt to piece together.

"How long..."

"Maybe 2... 3 at most..."

"Is he waking..."

"I don't know... He really strained himself..."

"Please wake up Percy. I'm scared. Give me some sign that you'll come back."

These voices sounded hurt and scared too, and Percy knew that he was causing the people around him pain and that killed him inside. He tried and tried again, but his eyes still wouldn't open. He was trying once more to open his eyes, or even squeeze the hand holding his to give them the sign they asked for, but he was yanked from his efforts and thrown into another place.

He looked amazed at the sight around him. It was Olympus. The Olympus she designed. The Olympus his Wise Girl designed. 12 gods and goddesses sad in various thrones, all looking at him (some with looks of pity, which he thought was very weird) where he stood in the middle of the room. He bowed before looking at them questioningly.

"Percy, you have to understand something. When you wake up, you won't notice anything too different. You're still on Mount Olympus, the original one, but if you go into a town not far from where you are currently, you'll be in for a bit of a shock," Poseidon explained. "Just, please, don't hurt anyone."

Percy looked at his dad like he was crazy. "Why would I hurt someone, especially since I've never met them?" Poseidon looked at his son with a small, sad smile. "And one other question, how long have I been unconscious?"

Poseidon laughed. "Not long at all. Only about 2-3 hours. It just seems longer because of your ADHD. We were keeping you unconscious so we could contact you. It just took us a while to contact you." The council shot Poseidon dirty looks and he looked down quickly.

Percy looked confused. "I thought we were still at the original Olympus. You guys were there with us."

Everyone suddenly looked uncomfortable, obviously thinking he wouldn't catch that bit. "Look Perseus," Athena started, but noticing Percy's involuntary flinch she stopped. "Er, Percy, something happened when you defeated Gaea. She let loose a wave of her energy and did something none of us has ever seen before. She did something, and Hecate has confirmed that by doing this kind of action most likely led to her fading. If she somehow didn't fade, she would never be able to come anywhere near consciousness again."

"So it has something to do with magic? It can't be that bad," Percy asked. "Can it?" He added when he saw their solemn faces.

Many Olympians shook their heads sadly, avoiding Percy's gaze. They were all thinking along the same lines. He never deserved this. "We'll let you wake up now Perseus. Don't do anything I wouldn't do," Poseidon solemnly advised his son.

Percy grinned. "So I can't basically do everything? Including attacking Zeus?"

This got a laugh out of everyone, excluding the mentioned god. Zeus pulled a face, and a bolt of lightning strikes him and he disappears in a puff of smoke, but not before muttering something Percy could barely hear. "Good luck, our savior. Chaos knows you'll need it."

Percy finally managed to open his eyes, and his first action after doing so was groaning and moving his arm up to cover his eyes. "Percy!" Annabeth yelled, launching herself onto her boyfriend, who let out a loud oomph! at being jumped on. When she realized she was crushing him, she scrambled off him and helped him sit up.

"Hi Annabeth," he muttered. "How've you been these last three hours?"

Annabeth looked at him quizzically before narrowing her eyes in suspicion. "How did you know you've been sleeping for three hours?"

His eyes widened, and he put on the best innocent voice he could muster. "The gods visited with me and we talked?"

Annabeth was silent for a moment before laughing. "As long as you aren't dead, I'm good."

Percy reached out and grabbed her hand. "How could I die on you? As long as we're together, remember?"

Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Leo, Hazel, and Frank all started walking to the nearest town. Percy had just finished telling them about his visit with the gods.

"What do they mean by 'you're in for a bit of a shock'? I don't think anything can really shock us at this point," Jason pointed out.

Leo sniggered. "Nice pun Sparky."

Jason looked bewildered. "What? What pu-" A look of bewilderment crossed his face before he glared at Leo. "Real funny Valdez. I forgot to laugh. Absolutely hilarious."

Hazel snapped her infers between the pair. "Please, join us in the real world guys. Was there anything else that could've given away where we are?" She directed her question at Percy.

Percy shook his head. "I mean, my dad did tell me not to hurt anyone. I don't really get what that means since I like to give people the benefit of the doubt." He snapped his fingers like he had an idea. "Hey Frank? I just got an idea. What if you turned into an eagle or something and soared around, see if there's any clues to where we could be."

Frank nodded and kissed Hazel's cheek before flying off. Annabeth smiled at her boyfriend and ruffled his hair. "Good thinking, Seaweed Brain. Let's keep walking, I think I see the town up ahead. It shouldn't be that far."

Leo groaned. "Why couldn't I just build us a seven person motorbike? Or, even better, why couldn't we have just taken the Argo 2? It would be so much faster. My feet hurt."

Annabeth shot him the weren't-you-paying-attention-to-what-I-said-earlier look. "Because, we don't know exactly where we are. We could show up as a potentially hostile threat and be shot out of the sky. I'd really rather we didn't take our chances. You don't take warnings from the entire council lightly."

Leo looked at the ground fiddling with some metal. "But we're in Greece. I don't get why we'd be hostile. This is our home turf." (This earned a "Not for Romans!" from Jason.) "It's not like we've been sent to the past or something. Only Kronos can control time, and Percy killed him from what the campers told us."

Percy groaned, but besides that stayed silent. Annabeth froze suddenly, and threw out her arm making Percy run into it and almost tripping. She put a finger to her lips and mouthed 'we're being followed, stand guard." Percy nodded and passed on the message.

Pulling out his pen, Percy slowly turned so he was shoulder to shoulder with Annabeth. Jason and Piper did the same, along with Hazel and Leo. "Who's there?" Percy called out.

Everyone readied their weapons when someone emerged from the bushes. He was about 5'7" and looked freakishly familiar. Especially Jason and Piper.

"You do not know my name? I am the most well known demigod to ever live! I am Heracles, son of Zeus, completer of 12 labors. Who are you?"
