"What hyung?" Jimin asked getting nervous.

"I got an idea about what happened to you when you arrived this mansion initially. Why you saw a killer everywhere but no one else could! Why the switch of caretakers all of a sudden..." Taemin trailed off. "And why Taehyung was behaving suspiciously" he added making Jimin curious.

"Was Taehyung involved in all this? I'm not even surprised anymore. So Yoongi hyung was right!" Jimin smiled sadly looking away.

"There's more to it Jimin. Taehyung hired that nurse aka Jung Hoseok to spy on you" Taemin clarified.

"What! That's why I felt him always on my back, as if his eyes followed my each move" Jimin added surprising the other.

"So you caught on? Good you know about that. Also Taehyung has an eye on Park Empire, which your father got to know later. I'm not 100% sure but there could be an involvement of Taehyung with your father's sudden death" Taemin revealed making Jimin gasp.

"D-Did he k-kill my father? Just for our business? I didn't know he was so mean and selfish. It's as if I never knew him, I fell for someone who doesn't even exist. So he just used me to get our empire?" Jimin scoffed in disbelief.

"I'm still trying to find a motive behind all of it so don't be so harsh on him Jimin. We need to find the truth, so please don't act out and keep your cool in front of him" Taemin advised making Jimin's blood boil.

"You are asking me something impossible hyung. But I'll try my best to not be obvious and loathe over him when I'm around him" Jimin grumbled.

"And the other guy, the one who kidnapped you has escaped from the police custody. I don't trust the police force at this point. Also that guy was hired by someone else and not Taehyung, which I'm sure of" Taemin told.

"But what if he comes here? It's scarier than I thought hyung!" Jimin's voice cracked.

"Don't worry, they are sending back up force and we all are also here for you" Taemin calmed him.

Both turned their heads hearing a loud bang coming from the door, a chill ran down their spines. Taemin gulped nervously checking Jimin who shivered thinking about various possible outcomes. He grabbed Jimin's wrist which took the younger by surprise, their eyes met as Taemin assured Jimin he won't let anyone harm him in his presence. Both made their way towards the door following  another bang sound. Whoever was behind the door was getting restless as the time passed by.

"Who could that be?" Jimin whispered, his hands trembling.

Taemin tightened his hold around Jimin's hand. "I'm here" he assured him holding the knob twisting it slowly.

"What took you so long Jimin?I- Wait! What are you doing in Jimin's room?" Taehyung stood there watching Jimin hidden behind Taemin. Both surprised to see Taehyung in front of them.

"I came for a routine check up, was just going to leave when you arrived Mr. Kim" Taemin chuckled nervously as Taehyung glared at him, then at his hand around Jimin's wrist which he quickly retrieved. "I'll come tomorrow morning for the next check up. Good night Jimin_ah and you too Mr. Kim" Taemin smiled nervously leaving the room to go downstairs.

"What are you doing here Taehyung? I thought you were going to think about my question and meet me tomorrow" Jimin asked getting suspicious of his intentions.

"I think I forgot something in your room so I came back to get it" Taehyung glanced behind him, scanning the room. "I guess I may have left it in my car" he chuckled scratching the nape of his neck, taking a few steps back.

"Goodnight" Jimin whispered as he closed the doors.

"Sweet dreams" Taehyung smiled going down stairs where he met Hoseok who bit his nails. "I give you one task and you fail in that too?" he sneered as Hoseok whimpered taking a few steps back. He took a few steps towards the elder, watching him tremble under his presence. It was a delightful scene unfolding in front of him, amused he waited for his lame excuses.

"I almost got caught by Dr. Lee. I can't lose my job right now, being already burdened by my parents loan" he mumbled with clasped hands.

"So what? Am I not paying you enough Hobi hyung? Should I tell Jaemin everything about this little venture you do to pay his tuition fees?" Taehyung smirked catching a hold of Hoseok's collar.

"Please don't do that, he would hate me for this. I'll try harder I promise" Hoseok mumbled falling onto his knees getting teary.

"Don't do this hyung, you're making me a bad guy now. Am I not good enough for you?" Taehyung chuckled pulling him up on his legs, his hands over the other's shoulder.

"I can't keep reminding you of your duties here, can I? I'm such a busy man, handling the Park Empire on these delicate shoulders of mine. Anyways that freak you brought, what's his name?" Taehyung trailed off.

"James" Hoseok mumbled, his face contorted with pain.

"Yeah! That James guy, he stopped cooperating with me since Jungkook's incident by the attic. I'm not even sure if he's on my side or Jimin's. Can't you bring a trustworthy candidate for this job. How incompetent can you be hyung!" Taehyung huffed tightening his hold around Hoseok's shoulder making him whimper in pain.

"We almost got caught when Jimin found James talking to me as he passed by the hallway. Thankfully he was going through one of his episodes and didn't remember a thing. But all this chaos led to Yoongi hyung's arrival. Everything is already difficult for me, don't make it worse" he growled. His grip now hurting Hoseok, making him wince in pain.

"I'll do better" Hoseok pleaded, as Taehyung released his death grip over him.

"That's what I like about you, so obedient. Keep up the good work" he chuckled leaving the other in tears. Hoseok sniffed going towards the kitchen, wiping his tears on the way.

"I don't want to follow his orders but he keeps threatening me with Jaemin's name knowing my one and only weakness. When I refused to do his job initially, he kidnapped Jaemin until I agreed to his demands. After that he got Jaemin admitted to one of the famous schools in our town, to keep a tab on him and me. He is registered as a guardian under the school's records. If I don't follow his orders he could do anything to my little brother. What should I do now?" Hoseok cried in the kitchen mumbling to himself when he felt a presence behind him. He turned around in a swift motion to spot a familiar person staring at him with amusement.

"So that's the reason you were spying on Jimin?" Taemin clasped his hands going towards Hoseok who shivered under his gaze.

"H-How much d-did you h-hear?" Hoseok stuttered as Taemin stood right in front of him, his gaze tearing him apart.

"Pretty much everything" he sighed crossing his arms over his chest.

"I-I know I did wrong things, but I didn't have any bad intentions and I never had any thoughts of harming Jimin. If I failed to do what I was ordered, it would result in Jaemin getting hurt. I couldn't just sit and watch my brother being harmed" he sobbed wiping his tears, his head dropping.

"I get that you were stuck in a difficult situation but you helped the wrong guy. If you don't mind, I have an offer for you" Taemin smiled, as Hoseok tilted his head upwards matching the doctor's gaze. A bit confused with the sudden suggestion but nodded nevertheless.

"If you promise to come clean in front of Jimin right now and he accepts your apologies, I'll make some arrangements to keep Jaemin safe" Taemin advised making the other confused. "I mean to say, if you decide to join us, I'll make sure Jaemin is safe. In return to that you have to spy on Taehyung and report everything to us, word to word" he smiled patting Hoseok's shoulder who fliched a bit since the earlier encounter with Taehyung.

"Oh, sorry if I hurt you. Do give it a thought. I'll be in my room if you change your mind" Taemin smiled taking his leave.

Hoseok wondered, if he could grab this opportunity or not? After Jimin's father passed away and Taehyung took over, he suffered so much under his rule. It was as if God was testing his patience, his salary was reduced to half. He was struggling to pay his brother's tuition fees, with himself getting ill due to overwork. So when Taehyung offered him this job, he was already in a vulnerable situation. He didn't have an option, but he rejected his offer, a decision that was tough on him. Later when Jaemin was abducted from his school Hoseok nearly killed himself in search of his brother, running in the middle of the road. Taehyung threatened him to follow what he said or he could just end Jaemin's life, which was worthless in that devil's eyes. Hoseok reached his lowest point and unwillingly accepted his orders to betray Jimin.

How could he even stay alive after betraying someone who treated him just like an elder brother. Jimin was already ill, now he had to worsen his condition. When Taehyung ordered him to vacate the premises and appoint someone else in his place to keep a tab on Jimin, knowing he gets easily discomforted in a stranger's presence. He did everything Taehyung ordered, but enough is enough. Jimin doesn't deserve any of it and he won't help Taehyung anymore. He saw how Jimin's life was already endangered and he suspected Taehyung here too. After serving Taehyung for a while he observed that he never tried to kill Jimin, if he wanted he could have done it long back. That's something he needs to find out. But before doing that, he somehow has to come clean in front of Jimin, hoping he would forgive him.

Next day,

"Just leave, I trusted you too. And what did I get in return? BETRAYAL!" Jimin huffed crossing his arms against his chest which heaved up and down with his back facing Hoseok.

"I'm sorry Jimin, I know I don't deserve your forgiveness, but please try to understand my situation" Hoseok sobbed, pleading to Jimin.

"You know how much I cared for you and Jaemin, you could have come to me if Taehyung was troubling you" Jimin gritted his teeth.

"How could I? When you were already struggling with your own problems Jiminie" Hoseok looked towards Jimin with teary eyes.

"Hyung, you can worry about me but I can't? Isn't that unfair?" he argued turning around, his eyes brimming with tears.

"I shouldn't have done this, I regret it all" Hoseok cried as Jimin took him into his embrace.

"Please don't forget, I'm always here for you, just like Papa. Even though he's not with us anymore, I'll ensure you get treated well" Jimin promised pulling away. "So please share your worries with me" he smiled while wiping his tears.

"I'll do that from now on" Hoseok nodded.

"I forgive you hyung" Jimin smiled pulling him for another hug.

"Just like that? How can you be so forgiving Chim? I just give up" Yoongi shook his head. Taemin chuckled watching the bickering duo.

"Stop it hyung, he too suffered so much. We have the same enemy so it's better to fight together than alone" Jimin glared, making the other pout.

"You never listen to me" Yoongi scoffed.

"So? Are we good now?" Taemin asked, amused witnessing their reunion and bickering.

"As you can see" Yoongi shrugged pointing at Jimin and Hoseok who stood hand in hand.

"What now hyung? I want revenge for my father's unjust demise" Jimin clenched his jaw.

"I was arriving at that. First I need to find Taehyung's true intention and a way to annul that Power of Attorney he has. I'm sure your father gave that to him until you're fit to resume the company. And I also have a doubt about why he didn't try to kill you but rather he was determined for your survival. As if he would lose everything once you're dead" Taemin kept saying, making the other's taken aback.

"What do you mean by that Doc? Wasn't the kidnapping attempt to kill Jimin set by Taehyung. Is Jungkook involved in this mess too?" Yoongi queried.

"Jungkook too was blinded by his charms, nothing else. Rather he was used by him which is what I heard from Taehyung himself" Taemin replied as everyone gasped. "And that kidnapper is on the run now, those good for nothing officers couldn't handle him" he grumbled.

"We need to do something for Jimin's protection" Hoseok suggested to which everyone nodded.
