Gone
Jimin's POV:
I'm holding on, Appa, I miss you so much. Why did you leave me alone? I wanted to be with you, but I'm afraid to face you up there. The day I promised you I would live my life to the fullest was the day you left me. You knew it all along, didn't you?
I remember the day you called me, when I was still grieving over the loss of my child. At a corner I sat, all cooped up in my room full of darkness.
"Jimin_ah you have to promise me something" you pleaded holding my hands. My body felt numb, as all my emotions were somehow being ripped apart from me, leaving me with sadness and loneliness. I was still stuck in my past.
"You have to be strong, not for me but for yourself" you softly caressed my face as if afraid of shattering me.
"Appa, I'm unable to control these emotions, it's too overwhelming for me. I still hear cries of my baby when I'm alone or when I try to get some sleep. I'm just a failure Appa, I should have died instead of my poor baby. I'm not worthy to be alive" I sobbed as you engulfed me into your embrace. It felt warm, unlike the day you laid there lifeless on your bed.
"Don't give up. We need you Minnie," you sighed caressing my head slowly as quiet sobs left my lips.
"Promise me Jimin, you won't give up on your life. Whatever the situation is, you will live your life to the fullest" you spoke with your hands on my shoulders holding it firmly.
"I can't" I drifted off, your hold tightening on my shoulders.
"I won't let you go until you promise me!" you stood there adamantly.
"How can I live, I just see darkness ahead of me. Who will be my light Appa?" I asked with teary eyes.
"I will be your light, you can rely on me. I would never leave you alone my son" you promised me that day, Appa.
"I don't want to burden you Appa" I cried.
"A child can never be a burden on their parents, remember that" you huffed.
"Appa I-"
"Just a small promise Minnie, can't you do this much for your Appa?" you begged holding my hands in yours.
"O-ok-okay. I promise" I sighed looking into your eyes, it held so much love for me. You seemed to have things to tell but something held you back. What could that be?
"Now eat lunch with me" you chimed patting my back. I nodded not knowing it would be my last lunch with you...
Sorry Appa, I broke our promise. But there were people by my side who held me back. Did you send them to protect me Appa?
How can I live without you Appa, you told me you would be my light! What would you do in my place Appa?
"Keep going Minnie. Don't loose hope"
I heard a voice within me.
"I'm here, I never left your side my son"
Appa?
"I'm always with you. Close your eyes and think about me, I'll be right in front of you"
Really?
I saw a blinding lights everywhere.
Ahhh!

I woke up amidst pitch dark surrounding. Where am I? I felt slight pain in the back of my head, grazing my fingers over it aggravated the pain. Looking around I saw a small window above me which was around 10 feet above ground level, moonlight seeping through it was the only source of light in the room.
Getting up I walked around feeling the walls behind me, I took a few steps with the help of the wall with my eyes still adjusting to the darkness around me. I felt a round cold metal attached to a wooden surface, probably a knob, I twisted it but the door won't open. I turned around waving my hands to feel something in the darkness, a cylindrical wooden object came under my feet. I bent down holding it to my chest, I could use it for my defence. As I ran my fingers over, it felt slimmer on one end and a bit thicker on the other, could be a baseball bat!
"Hello?" I yelled "Is someone here? Please help me" I felt the walls going towards the door.
"No one's here my dear Jiminie. It's just you and me," a hoarse voice spoke from the other side of the door, a chill went down my spine hearing a familiar voice.
"Y-you" I whimpered gripping the wooden bat close to my chest. It's my killer!
"You remember me? That's nice" he chuckled.
"Why are you doing this to me? What have I done to you?" I wailed.
"Your existence itself is my problem" he scoffed.
"Where am I?" I asked
"A place from where you can't escape alive" he laughed devilishly.
"Stop with your nonsense" I yelled loosing my patience.
"You know how to raise your voice? I thought you could only cry" he sneered banging the door with his fist. I shuddered taking two steps back.
"Who are you? I don't remember anyone whom I have wronged" I asked hopeful to get some answers.
"I am someone who's hidden in your past!" he declared confusing me.
"My past?" I tried remembering someone who I may have hurt unknowingly.
"Do not dwell in the past Jimin and be ready to die a painful death. I'll be right back" he cackled leaving me alone with my thoughts.
I shivered as cold sweat covered my body. Will I die here without anyone by my side? Would no one come for me? Was this my fate?
I sobbed sliding down the door facing my back, still holding the bat in my hands.
"I won't give up so soon. I've promised my Appa, I will survive this too" determined I got up searching the place aimlessly. I heard mumbles from the other side of a door I was now standing against. This door was across the previous one I found initially.
My hands brushed pass a rusty door knob and I twisted it with the bat in the other hand. It creaked opened and I sighed a heave of relief. I could see that killer going outside in the dark.
Stepping out with my guard up I looked around, the bright lights blinding my eyes. Blinking my eyes I followed the killer who went outside a red door, curiously I twisted the knob to see the dense jungle ahead. Darkness made it even more terrifying, but bearable than the situation I was stuck in.
The door opened towards the backyard leading to the jungle where I wandered for wood. I saw the logs I had collected been neatly placed outside. The sound of my soft footsteps was the only sound echoing with the sound of darkness, until I spotted a black silhouette wandering around with a rifle in his hands. I hid myself behind a bush trying to find a way to escape this place. That guy was on a call with someone when he noticed something and chuckled.
"You are dead Park Jimin!" he yelled turning the rifle around, aiming it towards me, my breath hitched.
Can he see me even in the dark?
Under the dim lights where he stood, I could see his face covered in black mask. Those dark eyes sparkling under the moonlight, strands of blonde hair sticking out of the black beanie covering his head. He wore a black leather jacket over his black tshirt and a pair of black pants.
Who was this person?
The dilapidated structure behind him was where I was kept locked up. Just one bulb above him was on and the whole place was hidden in the darkness. How could anyone find me here?
"Jimin_ah" a voice called out for me from behind, Yoongi hyung? How did he find me?
"Your dearest hyung will be dying ahead of you" he chuckled pulling the trigger, aiming it towards the voice. My heart stammering against my chest at an inhumane speed, I won't let him hurt someone I cared for.
"NOOO!" I stood up from my hiding place. He aimed the rifle at me again, I could feel his smirk beneath that mask he wore.
"Oh my dear Jiminie! How nice of you to volunteer for your own death" he sneered.
"Don't you dare lay a finger on my hyung" I warned.
"Of course. I know he's your first love, but not mine" he mocked aiming it to my right.
I heard footsteps behind me coming to a halt, abruptly. I turned around spotting Yoongi hyung, he wasn't alone. Taemin hyung stood behind him.
"So many fell for you Jiminie but you chose someone else. What about them?" he nodded towards the two frozen boys, their eyes fixated on me.
"Don't listen to him Jimin_ah. I'll take care of that bas*ard" Yoongi hyung yelled. Cold sweat dripping by the back of my neck, my body covered in goosebumps.
A bullet fired, I closed my eyes as my heart dropped. I heard a thump sound from behind, watching my hyung fall holding his right shoulder, his face contorted in pain. Taemin hyung grabbed him, trying to stop the blood gushing out of his wound.
I felt a surge of anger rush throughout my body being unable to save the only person who selflessly cared for me. I glared at him running aimlessly towards that killer holding the bat in my hands. He tried to fire another bullet but failed as it got stuck. I cried aiming the bat on his head with my eyes shut, praying for a miracle. Everything blacked out, I heard muffled sirens from afar.
Flashback before Jimin disappeared in the forest:
After collecting the woods, I sat down taking a sip out of my bottle, quenching my thirst. The view pleasing for my eyes with lush greenery spread across. It rained an hour back and the earthy scent still lingered around, soothing my mind.
I sighed taking a look around after I finished cutting up wood for lunch. The guys would be waiting for me, so I stood up trying to carry the wood I collected when I felt dizzy all of a sudden. Something hard had hit my head, I cried in pain as I felt a cold liquid trickling down the back of my neck.
"Finally I got you" I heard someone mumble before passing out.
Who was that person?
To be continued...
