It was a moderate fall day, the temperature being not too cold but not too hot as the small, black kitten leapt out of the bush, sprinting towards a bird it spotted. He took a few small bounds before lunging at the bird, it spooked the bird and it took off in a matter of seconds. The kitten sits down, disappointed that it couldn’t catch a bird like it had seen it’s mother and father do before. It returns to it’s little camp, tucked into the forest behind the big city. The kitten would always see humans walk past, if they saw him they would go “Awww,” and then continue on their way. Some even tried to pick up the little kitten, then some left food for it. It had no clue why they did it or what the food was they left for it, but it tasted good enough to it so the kitten would eat it. It’s mother was a grayish-white cat, while it’s father was more like him, a dark, shadow-like black color. The kitten enjoyed roaming, it felt like it could go anywhere, do anything, except for one of the hardest tasks.. Communicating with humans. Until one day changed it’s life forever….
