Make Your Mark Challenge
As of late, many people have just been down. I myself have wandered to the unnamed realm of depression...
But hey, if I can still be around, surely all of you that are currently struggling must find some purpose. After all, reasons are why we do anything: from hatred to love, or sadness to happiness.
Yeah, I know. Like me, you're probably wondering, well what is my purpose? I of course have no answer, but I would like to be able to help you find that. After all, nothing is more beautiful than knowing what you want to do and why you want to do it.
Thus, is why I present to you this particular challenge. I out of all people would've never dared in my younger years to promote optimism, but it does matter. And it matters to me that all of you must have hope, regardless of one's religious beliefs or personal circumstances.
The challenge is this: make an encouraging quote based on whatever issue is bringing you down. In addition, add a song that goes along with having hope/inspiration.
Before you all bash me at how ridiculous I'm sounding, don't. Please give it a shot. I know that testing, back-stabbing friends, family conflicts, and other issues can pile on one pretty quick. At those dark moments, just being stuck in depression seems the most plausible and "logical" approach to it all.
But being sad won't change anything. On the contrary, it will give you more room to ponder on your misery. So please lift up those chins. You might say, But what if I just don't know anything anymore?
I too have lost my way. My confidence and happiness shattered from a betrayal. Family tensions worsened my emotions, and my own regrets have left me to become that guilty person who never truly sleeps. I was left in the dark... And yet I knew I had to rise up.
Even if I had to fake to be happy, I know that other people counted on me. The last thing I wanted to do was blame them for my mistakes. Or issues beyond my control.
There's a whole world to see. Please don't give up, not now. These are troubled times, but if you hang onto your conviction, you'll make it through. I know you will. Even if in your own society, people don't have faith in you, know that I do.
And shouldn't support, at least from one person, be enough?
So hang on. You better hold on. Never forget that tomorrow comes, and it will be way different than yesterday. You just have to make sure to look for the distinction and not for your troubles.
Oh who am I kidding? I honestly don't know what you're going through. Each and every one of us has their own struggles to overcome and different people who cause that. I myself struggle with sympathy and all else that follow. But I am empathetic, and if I understand what you're going through, I will definitely be there for you.
Well that's enough for my "pep talk". Honestly what everyone needs is some support, not this bullshit of optimism. So yeah, count on me if you ever need something to rant about. I won't mind listening. :)
Back to the challenge. Here's my attempt at being optimistic:
"In life, people are one of two things: a moment or a memory. While frivolous moments allow one to have pleasure without responsibility, it's the hurtful memories that allow for one to grow and carry on."
And I've chosen Still Breathing by Green Day. You might not think the following sounds inspirational, but the lyrics get to me.
Anyone wanting to bash this can comment in this sentence ×_×
Tags? I mean I honestly don't know all who struggles. (I'm not a stalker, not even an novice at it) However, I will challenge people who I feel like can benefit this.
Anyone else is free to do this in case they see this.
And this is completely optional. So if you don't feel like it, don't. I was just hoping this could help, even if in a small and a rather foolish way.
Yours truly,
Someone just as lost as you
